“We spent valentines at one of our favorite local places yesterday, it was really busy our reservation was at 7 the height of dinner rush. We enjoyed every aspect of JC’s from the hostess to the servers to the much needed delicious dinner and ambiance! We started with chicken nachos and garlic bread, main course we had Norwegian lamb chops on a mountain of potatoes yum! I ordered the panko chicken with baby rigatonis peas buratta in a sherry sauce and what a trip to flavor town! The food here never disappoints even when we order takeout it’s always delicious. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner what a lovely hard working lady! All that she does to provide the best experience shines bright through her staff and patrons. We tested out little cheese cakes that were outrageous I don’t even like cheesecake and I ate them at first not knowing what they were. they were creamy and yummy and delicious I didn’t know I could like something so much that I didn’t like anywhere else. The strawberry was Huge and I ate every last bit we were stuffed I had to take home almost half of my dinner which we ate today! Jcs you do a exemplary service to our town thank you for a wonderful night, my pictures don’t do your food justice but I’m posting them anyway lol!“

“excellent spot to watch football. great specials, a lot of tvs, all the games ??edit to clarify the pricing category. Google asks how much I SPENT per person. we get 5-7 pitchers in addition to food when we're there which really pumps the $/PP up but it's still an absolute bargain for what you get. those football specials are something else.“

“My sister wanted to try JC’s restaurant after getting recommended by it by a coworker at first we were skeptical because of the area it was in but it turned out really good. It definitely exceeded my expectations. I got the steamed clams with garlic butter, jalapeños, celery and onion with some bread (you could add spaghetti to it) it was honestly the best steamed clams I ever had I would definitely get it again. My sister got a burger medium with a side of Mac and cheese the burger was really good, not too greasy really tasty cooked medium. We got dessert too, we got banana cheese cake and churros. The banana cake was okay it tasted like cheese cake more than it did banana. The churros was so good it was crispy but not crunchy and hard it was just the perfect amount of cinnamon not over powering just right with a scoop of ice cream and whipped cream it made the dessert prefect and is the best churros I’ve ever had coming from a person who always get churros as dessert wherever I go. Price wise it’s fair the match the food. And is definitely worth it. Custom service was really nice and attentive. All in all I would 100% recommend this place!“

“From service to presentation to flavor, North Tavern is absolutely wonderful. The Italian Toast appetizer is a great way to start the meal for a salad/bread plate beginning. The Fish Tasting had beautiful presentation and the flavor was phenomenal! Rounding the dinner off with a warm brownie recommended by our server was the way to go! Thank you to the owners, server, and especially to the chefs; my family and I talked about the meal on the way home… until it was too much and then had the change the subject. ?“

“Jimmy's is the best possible version of a solid, regular, old fashioned diner. The staff here is so incredibly nice, accommodating, and competent. We had a large group come in for brunch for my aunt's birthday. Despite the size, Jimmy's said it'd be no problem as long as we didn't mind waiting a little for a few tables to clear out. They managed to take all of our orders and get us food shockingly quickly.The food itself was all well prepared and delicious. If you are looking for a nice diner to stop by for breakfast or lunch, I could not recommend Jimmy's more. I hope I am in the area again so I can come back for another meal“

“Found this local gem on Google. Just what we were looking for on a cool fall afternoon. A plain small diner style place with good food, nice people, and fair prices! I had a mushroom and Swiss burger with well done fries. Cooked a perfect medium as requested. My friend ordered the Western style omelette with cheddar and home fries. I’ll put it this way, not a crumb was left on our plates! Good coffee. It was Halloween and the costumed waitress was applying temporary tattoos. Very fun.This is not a fancy place and it’s small, but you get that small town charm and good food. Nothing to complain about here.“

“I can’t say enough about this place. Been going here for a couple years with my family and it’s a great experience every time. The baked and steamed clams are top tier apps and you can’t go wrong with the tuna tacos either. For your entrees the salmon or bbq braised short rib are solid choices as well as any of their seafood dishes. Would highly recommend this little spot to anyone going on a date or going out with their family!“

“Had a great lunch here with a coworker. Views were great and the food was very good. The Thai chili wings and the cob salad, I can attest, are spot on. The only thing keeping this place from five stars with me is the dining room is a bit cramped. Nevertheless, I'll be back with the wife. She'll enjoy it too I'm sure.“

“I have been going to Riverhead Friendlys for 25 years from Albert the manager and his successor Ritchie and of course seeing Oscar grow from all positions to the manager now was an awesome privilege. “If you can get past the extremely loud bar area to the quiet-ish dining room you'll enjoy yourself. The food is okay. Can tell a lot is cooked from frozen pre-made and overcharged but I guess that's business. Fish and chips clearly from frozen. Corn nuggets clearly from frozen. Disappointed in that because these things are not hard to make and I shouldn't really be paying $25 for a few frozen fish sticks.“

“Food is good and staff is nice, staff is young don't expect great service in the sense that they know the menu in depth. Friendly and kinda however, and also have a fun trivia night most Wednesdays. Don't buy their ramen though, ramen is my all time favorite food, I get it whenever I can. I live 5 minutes away from this place and never get their ramen cuz it's not very good. “I loved the old world charm of this hidden gem.While traveling in Riverhead it is infrequent that I am not on a main road.I searched Restaurants in Riverhead was rewarded for my diligence.We shared an appetizer of the “Stuffies” which turned out to be the best baked clams I have had in years.My dinner meatloaf dinner ( true comfort bliss) came with soup of the day, a wonderful creme of tomato soup. This soup was so good it reminded me of the saucy taste of good baked ziti.I was going to order one of the specials which was sauerbraten. One of the last portions were served at the table next to us. (Next time)It looked great, as did all the plates passing by our table.The restaurant was very clean with an old world feel, great service.I will definitely be going back regularly, I will tell my friend’s. You should give this a try it is not fancy but it a true gem and well worth trying, you will be glad you did.“

“Peter’s on the Green is a little hidden gem at the Bellport Country Club. My review is based on my wine which tasted a bit sour but this is coming from someone that is hard to please LOL. My sibling and I visited at the end of November 2023 for an afternoon lunch on a Saturday. Our meals came with a salad, mine was Greek and it was delicious. My brother got a chicken dino and I ordered an Uncle Peter (chicken, cheese, pasta…) and we shared a yummy dessert. We both took leftovers home and enjoyed them at a later time. I think the menu selection is great, location is gorgeous and the bathrooms could use an update. Overall, it’s a solid option for a nice lunch.“

“You can't get better food for the price. They also have authentic German beer on tap. This is one of the few places where I will eat a steak because they cook them just as good if not better than me. I have a customer near the restaurant and eating here makes putting up with the traffic bearable.“

“We recently ate at the new Italian restaurant named Pulcinella at the rock golf club. We went for our 35th wedding anniversary and we are so glad we did. The decor, the service, and especially the meal were all superb. The portions were large and the prices were high average but well worth it. “This place was well staffed. I went on the night before Thanksgiving and it was packed like most bars are that night. However, unlike most places this place didn't leave anyone unattended. The women behind the bar worked quickly to serve everyone.The food was very good! Much better quality than most bars.The only downside of this place is the filthy women's bathroom with a broken door. It could use some cleaning and fixing up.All in all, a great place with a welcoming atmosphere and a great staff!“
