“Wonderful food at Barney Greengrass- as always! Go support an excellent NYC family owned and operated restaurant with amazing food and great service. They same family has been lovingly running the place since 1908! In 2021 they have Lots of spacious outdoor dining. Super attentive waitstaff - our waterglass was never empty- and just a happy peaceful atmosphere- hard to be sad when your belly is full of delicious food made with love. Get the latkes- they are to die for! Best lox we’ve had in the city and the #9 sandwich really should be renamed the Bubbe Zayde - it’s a double decker on rye half pastrami half corned beef coleslaw and Russian dressing- tasted as amazing as it looks, and truly brought back memories noshin with my Bubbe and Zayde. Also the Blintzes are incredible“
“What a find ... cracking Aussie style coffee. Bonus that you can grab a Vegemite on toast if you are feeling a little homesick. Food is great. Staff are lovely! Great service from a fun, friendly team. Have popped in a couple of times on this trip. Will definitely come back on my next visit to NY“
“We went in on a Friday afternoon without a reservation and were able to sit at the bar. Both the food and the coffee were delicious. The banana bread French toast was good but rich- we split meals and shared half and half which ended up being perfect. Service was timely and the place had a cool modern atmosphere. I’d recommend making a reservation for larger parties and if you want to sit at a booth or in a chair with back support!“
“This place would have been good, except they forced me to pay cash because my male companion used a credit card for his bill. I would have gladly just paid a credit card fee myself for the separate checks. I thought it was super odd they assumed we were together, and should be paying for both on one card, and figure it out later. Coworkers (many people) need to be able to pay separately for a variety of reasons even if they sit at the same table. It would have been nice to be informed about this upfront so we could have prepared, and avoided an awkward checkout. Service was fantastic, the food was what you'd expect for a quick breakfast bite. I still don't understand why they can't pass on two cc fees to two separate customers. I would have chalked it up to an NYC thing, but no other restaurants treated payment like that. It felt like our payment was a huge inconvenience to them and the food definitely wasn't worth the hassle.“
“Everything is as delicious as it sounds to be honest! Ran by Koreans, the taste reminds me of my mom’s food but restaurant level quality and aesthetics. They pack their to-go food like a cute little lunch box, a piece of fruit, and a brownie that’s deceptively yummy and chewy/fudgy. Their to/go hot teas are also SO nicely packed. I love their attention to quality in an amazing neighborhood hidden gem.“
“Ordered: Burrito Bun Breakfast Sandwich (~$14): pasture raised scrambled eggs, organic spinach, avocado, Cabot pepper jack, chipotle aioli & crunchy lime red cabbage on an onion poppy bun Aya's take: What a killer of a breakfast sandwich! I was in the area and this was the 3rd place I came to; the others were closed (it's a holiday weekend so I understand). The Blue Light Speak Cheesy has a few tables and almost all of them were full. We were able to snag the last available table while I ordered at the counter. I realize they serve different sandwiches on different days of the week (I went on a Sunday) which could motivate people to come back on other days. On the other hand, it could be disappointing if they're not serving what you want on that particular day. Anyway, onto the sandwich! The Burrito Bun Breakfast Sandwich was so well-balanced. From the soft scrambled eggs to the tangy and vibrant red cabbage to the flavor of the pepper jack to the freshness of the spinach and avocado, it was everything you could want in a breakfast sandwich. I think the only thing that would make it better is if it had a layer of crunch (like a hash brown). Nonetheless, it was so filling and hit the spot. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area and I can't wait to come back.“
“Times Square Diner & Grill is where the heart of New York City beats in every bite! Nestled in the vibrant Theater District, this bustling diner is a symphony of flavors and friendly vibes. Picture this: you step inside, and the aroma of sizzling bacon and freshly brewed coffee envelops you. The menu is a love letter to classic American comfort food, with generous portions that’ll make your taste buds do a happy dance. ?☕Breakfast here is legendary—whether you’re craving a Western omelette with ham, onions, and peppers or diving into a stack of cinnamon-kissed French toast, you’re in for a treat. And let’s talk about their potato home fries—crispy, golden, and addictive! ??The service? Lightning fast and genuinely friendly. The staff at Times Square Diner & Grill make sure you’re well taken care of, whether you’re a solo diner or part of a bustling crowd. It’s like stepping into a warm hug from your favorite aunt. ?Now, let’s chat about value. You won’t break the bank here, but you’ll leave with a full belly and a smile. It’s the kind of place where memories are made—where you laugh over pancakes, share stories, and feel like a true New Yorker. ??️“
“Super cute establishment. Just very small and cozy. The staff were very welcoming and attentive to our needs. The food is so flavorful and fresh, absolutely delicious. We had the tomato soup with grilled cheese on fresh bread. The French toast and eggs with home fries and bacon. Everything was fab. Can’t wait to return“
“Such a cute spot! Small so get there with some waiting time in your schedule just in case. The menu didn’t say much about gluten free options but once we ordered they asked about allergies. They offered to switch to gluten free toast instead of the hashbrowns because they fry them in the same place as gluten-full things. I appreciated the caution! I don’t get sick from cross contamination (yet) so I got the hashbrowns. Delicious! And I didn’t get sick. They were a little less hashbrown and a little more fried ball of mashed potatoes - pretty good! Delicious mimosas too! Highly recommend ✨Dietary restrictions: Bring lactaid! Also they have gluten free toast by request, just not on the menu“
“God bless you, order a Mexican Chicken Supreme, the guy is very kind and generous, and also funny. He made fresh coffee for my friend and my little brother. And the food was very good and well crafted. Great hospitality, and generosity. God willing, me and my little brother and my friend may start coming here more. And the prices are reasonable and great too! ?“
“I had a doctor's appointment nearby and I needed breakfast. I saw Dream Vista and decided to try them out for the 1st time. I had the Poached Egg Avocado Toast which was absolutely delicious. It had roasted red peppers and pumpkin seeds on top. It was very tasty. I also had a green tea and Tahini Walnut Cookies. The cookies was very soft and melted in my mouth. Also the customer service was very pleasant. Overall Dream Vista is a warm and cozy cafe and the food is delicious here.“
“I’ve been bringing my son Lucas here since he is 1.5 years old even before we moved to South Slope, this is a family owned classic Park Slope diner, brother & sister Nick ♥️ Erene have been showing us their family love & can’t believe how much my son has grown still loving their chicken fingers. I personally love their homemade breakfast fries and grits. They have the best grits. Their grits is better than the grits at fancy places. As a parent in Park Slope, this this is my to go to a place in the hood, and he rarely eats out. I never worry when I have to bring him here. It’s the same good ‘ol breaded chicken fingers that he loved when he barely had teeth. They make us feel like family & while so many changes happens to the neighborhood. I hope this little Gem stays the same. Little purity is packed on Sundays, their food is great & it’s great service. Made me live the real NYC diner experience. Super friendly and chatty crew, no one ever gets bored there!“
“Gave this place a try a week ago and it was pretty good. Nothing we had was what I would call "ground breaking" but it was pretty solid for classics. The pancakes were very fluffy and fat but held good flavor too. For some reason I just had to try this places chopped cheese (my local bodega stopped selling food and switched to weed) and yea I've had better chopped cheeses but it did scratch that itch when you're craving one. I got the energizer juice also which was on par with others no notes. All in all the place is studry it sells what it's good at and seems to have a following of customers that appreciate that.“
“We used to live in Windsor Terrace and would come here all the time. We moved back to the neighborhood after 7 years and decided to go back- food and services was great but no ac on a 90 degree day made it just a little uncomfortable for my hubby. I would still come back and recommend!“
“I stopped into Fresh & Co., while I was in a hurry to attend the New York International Auto Show.I ordered a blueberry muffin to go. The delightful young lady behind the counter insisted that I eat it there, and that I needed to have it toasted.I asked how long that would take. The young lady just told me that it would be worth it. And it was.It was very refreshing in a world ? that lacks consistent customer service, to receive that type of experience. Not just a transaction.“
“Place was rad! Get the kale bowl or the chorizo. The waffle was lackluster at best. My 8 year old said it tasted like the frozen waffles we built from the grocery store. But, gosh the Chorizo dish was fantastic and the sourdough taste that came with it was spot on. My cousin who live near by and had never been before today, says he’ll be back.Next time we’re in town we’ll enjoy their quality coffee and try another signature dish.“
“Very good place for brunch/lunch. This was our first visit, and it was a little pricier than we had anticipated, but was good none-the-less. Excellent kids menu... We found something for 2 picky under-10 year olds.Important note- payment is by Venmo or Cash ONLY. They have an ATM on site... But this is something they should advertise more prominently. Our server was super awesome and was able to guide us through the menu with ease.Excellent place. Definitely recommend and would return myself.“
“Mila’s Cafe is breath of fresh air in NYC and a reminder of what a joy it is to support small businesses. You can sit down or take out. It is CASH-ONLY. The food is incredible and so are the two employees; Sergio and the cashier. You can order any breakfast sandwich or platter, and the prices are truly reasonable. Sometimes there may be a line, so please be patient as there are only two people but the wait is well worth it.“
“I come here when I need work done on my car, since my mechanic is a few blocks away , unfortunately it has been too often. Coming to Breakhouse puts some good vibes Into the trip. I get here early, I love their breakfast selections. The coffee is good but cappuccino is even better. They have a very clean and comfortable bathroom. If I lived closer, I'd be here very often. It's one of my favorite restaurants, pleasant people and cozy.“
“There was a lot going on here. Took a moment to get my bearings. One side was hot foods and made to order salads, the other side of the store was assorted sandwiches/burgers and coffee/teas. There was a lot of people working efficiently. Vibe was casual. There were some seats at the back of the store. Food and drinks were decent for a quick bite on the way somewhere.“
“We found this spot on Google after leaving the history museum, wanting to get a good hardy lunch. This place did not disappoint! Service and food were excellent! I had the pancake breakfast, my daughter had the chili, and my son in law had the cheeseburger. Everything was so tasty, filling, and satisfying. The chili really rocked! I also loved the look and vibe of the place, and we vowed to return the next time we're nearby again.“
“Tosti stands out as an excellent lunch spot, great for gatherings of friends and family alike. Their ability to accommodate diners with ease and efficiency makes every visit smooth and enjoyable. With meals served quickly, guests are spared long waits, perfect for lively groups. The restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere ensures an energetic dining experience, complemented by the staff’s friendly and welcoming attitude. Offering delicious food, rapid service, and a congenial setting, Tosti is a prime choice for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal with loved ones and friends.“
“Some of the best bagels and breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. And the baked items and pastries are always fresh and tasty. The staff are super kind and friendly, they always get the orders right, and if you order delivery and there’s something unavailable, they often find generous ways to make it up to you. Coming from someone who grew up on Long Island and lived in Brooklyn for a decade, THIS is the spot. They’re the best!!“
“Very cute shop. The Capitan burrito with chorizo was so good! And can’t go wrong with eggs benny. Kinda wish they served one toast, salmon, eggs Benny. It got soggy by the time I was on my second one and it wasn’t really too good.Buttermilk chicken tenders were really good!Ricotta pancakes were meh, and coffee was meh.“
“Unexpected find when doing a quick search for breakfast on the way back from JFK! Very friendly and welcoming staff and service. I had a stack of amazingly fluffy pancakes. My friends had a mix of Brooklyn bakers and egg sandwiches. All great. Coffee was good too. I would recommend and would go back if ever in the area.“
“I was running errands and was glad I stopped to get a quick bite here! Menu is simple and diverse. Food is tasty and is good for on the go or to stay. There is seating inside and outside. Definitely coming here for lunch next time I’m in the neighborhood. Chicken panini was tasty, fries were crispy just how I like them. Generous portions. Staff was very nice and helpful.“
“I can only recommend the Cappuccino because I have not bought anything else in the two years I have visited. RECOMMENDATIONS: Yesterday, it was raining and set up inside the cafe was not six feet from each other (especially the tables near the door). Maybe reminding people that they can’t linger in the cafe 60-90 minutes due to Covid19. Would be a great idea. Maybe giving the sitting would best. Especially with the weather impeding.“
“I do not usually like food truck food, but the food here is soooo good. They now make these wraps that taste amazing, as well as this chicken vegetable soup. Ali is such a personable person, and he keeps the truck very clean. You definitely have to try the wraps and the soup.“
“It's a little pricy for what it is ($12 for a bacon egg and cheese) but overall it's delicious! The brioche is nice, and the they have great and free substitutions such as changing sauce and egg types. There isn't much service, you order yourself and they bring it to the table. The best thing about this place is the atmosphere! It's gorgeous, with lovely wall art and a great playlist of songs playing at all times.I hope when you come here, you have a good effin time!“
“Awesome breakfast spot!Delicious, friendly and good prices. We found this spot on our last two days before fly back home But picked up some bagels with Egg and bacon for the way to the airport.Coffee is hot and tasty!I hope we see us again in few years when we are back in NYC ?“
“Guys, this is THE go-to when it comes to food in this area. I have been here at least 6 times and I always try something new. No matter how different the food is, they always nail it! Ranging from pancakes to Mexican food to paninis they got it all down to a tee. Ordering will be reliable but please try dining in if you get a chance, the staff are so sweet and kind. 10/10 for me.“
“For Breakfast, I bought French Toast and an Omelet. Most bodegas in the area don't make French Toast (a few don't know what French Toast is), so I was fortunate to discover that this place makes French Toast. There isn't much room to eat inside the place, so I think it's mostly take out orders. My food was ready relatively quickly. Approximately 5 minutes and the food itself was fine in a basic way.“
“This is a duel review! I go to Companion multiple times a day, for their mocha and roasted veggies mush bowel, and their open faced smoked salmon/ avocado and grilled cheese and mushroom toast are decadent. Side note, if Sophia is there, ask her about the somatic/ cranial sacral therapy work she does... she’s an amazing healer and has helped me get my nervous system back on track. To sum up, Companion isn’t just a cafe. It’s a healing hub, and you can go there in the evenings to have a drink and connect with anyone in there. So, Companion, is not just a clever name “
“TRIED THE SAUSAGE, EGG, CHEESE AND HASHBROWN ON AN ENGLISH MUFFIN & IT WAS INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS. ALL OF THE INGREDIENTS WERE VERY FRESH AND MOST IMPORTANTLY NOT FULL OF OIL. THE ORANGE JUICE IS TO DIE FOR- FRESHLY SQUEEZED. I AM SUPER PLEASED WITH THIS CAFE AND WILL BE RECOMMENDING FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO GO SUPPORT THEM AND TRY THEIR FANTASTIC FOOD OPTIONS. THANK YOU SO MUCH LITE BITES CAFE!“
“This place is a hidden gem! We came in from out of town and wanted some low-key breakfast so went here. Food was so freaking good, the pancakes and waffles were perfectly fluffy and tasty, breakfast sandwich was exactly what I was craving, and meals came with free coffee ?? will definitely be back again!!!“
“I had shrimp and pasta. No Angel hair pasta,; the shrimp was raw and they said it was broiled and they had been broiled but now put in oven which they did but since they were frozen to begin with, they still didn't taste right. When they gave me my shrimp, they confused my fish with her fish. Not a good practice. Too many ppl are sick. My girlfriend order something different but I ate while my girlfriend was waiting for her food. They had a different menu for lunch which they never said but the menu changed at 3 pm. Never did that before. Trying to figure out menus was a horror. The air conditioning was waay too high for this time of year. Everything was changed. Never had a problem with their food before. Was not a good experience at all. This was first time ever that I had such a bad experience. I didn't finish my food. I was disgusted by then. The bread and butter was what I basically had and paid a lot for food. What happened to this restaurant? Sad story.“
“I just LOVE this place!!! Great service, food, prices and vibes! The best bar in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Don't pass by without stopping in for a drink and great food. I'm actually going back after work for their amazing wings. SOOOO YUMMY!!! Very satisified customer. :) :)“
“Absolutely delicious! The staff was beyond incredible and so welcoming. If you're looking for a place that sells beef sausage, COME HERE!!! everything was cooked to perfection. If im ever back around this area, I will most certainly be revisiting asap!“
“I've had their breakfast (spinach and egg omelet) before and had their lunch (grilled cheese) today. It hasn't disappointed and I cannot wait to come back to try the rest of their menu. The staff are all lovely and it's such a cozy atmosphere. I highly recommend going.“
“You cannot find a better salad in this neighborhood, the vegetables are so fresh and when you order over the phone they will make sure to not add the dressing until it’s picked up so that it doesn’t get soggy. This attention to detail is what makes this place gourmet, you’ll have a hard time finding another deli serving salads like this place anywhere nearby.“
“I knew this place was going to be good — I love hole in the wall joints. And boy, was I right. The food was on point, the price cannot be beat, and Anthony, my server, was delightful.5/5 across the board and definitey will be returning!“
“The Dirty Kitchen(traditional name given by Harlemites) is a go to for breakfast, especially in the early am.They close around noon so not a lot of time but they get slammed from 5am-11:30am so come early. The place is whole in the wall but the food is excellent. Like the breakfast your grandma made back in the day. They also give free coffee with any order before 10am.“
“Uri's coffee is something you have to see to believe. There are hundreds food trailers scattered around New York City. Uri's appears to be some kind of bizzare anomaly with how uniquely busy it is. I saw no less than 4 separate door dash like services lined up here waiting to pick up the many orders the busy staff was working to fulfill in a kitchen no larger than a small truck bed. Their signature item is a breakfast burrito which comes with all kinds of bonus goodies like avocado, hot peppers, and a flavorful green salsa served on the side. I hope Uri's continues to be a huge hit, because the hard working owners deserve your money more than most. I dream to one day maybe see this as a larger truck or even a restaurant, that would warm my heart and I think feed a lot of hungry people on the upper east side.“
“I Stop In Here Every Chance I Get…Their Deli Meats And Salads Are Always Fresh. They Make The Best Deli Sandwiches Around. It’s A Family Store. The Owner, His Sons, Nephews,And His Cousin. They Are Very Nice To Their Customers. If You Ask For Something That They Don’t Have.Just Ask Them. They Will Get It.Their Milk & Chips Are Always Fresh.“
“Looking for breakfast around Union turnpike is hard but happy I found this place , the ladies were super nice and welcoming and I got a bacon egg and cheese and a large iced coffee and everything was super good, coffee on point and the B.E.C was bomb, thank you ladies ?“
“Such amazing and warmhearted people, I love how I was craving for my usual breakfast sandwich for an amazing price and I couldn’t find one nearby the Exchange Place area, till I caught my eye on a little food truck stand… I will definitely come back and support this local/small business. Well deserved for these kind people.“
“A great restaurant! I am very satisfied with all the service and products in this store! It has my favorite taro milk tea!! Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or even dinner, this restaurant is highly recommended! The food is very diverse, the environment is very good, and the staff is very patient and thoughtful. Sincerely recommend this restaurant from the bottom of my heart.“
“Phenomenal experience. First time in the area, decided to stop in to this spot for brunch. Mikey was amazing & very attentive. He made great recommendations and met all of our needs! Service was above and beyond. The atmosphere was calm, establishment is clean. Food was amazing! my partner and I ordered the bruschetta toast, chicken& waffles, Brussels sprouts, carbonara, pork eggs Benedict and lastly the chocolate lava cake for dessert! Food was soo good we kept ordering different things to try! Mimosas were really good aswell! Highly recommend this place! Will definitely come back!“
“This place is underrated here on City Island where the only options you have for breakfast are Dunkin Donuts and the crowded diner. Where are you gonna get a bacon egg and cheese on a roll with coffee and including a tip for 5 bucks? Nowhere. Just here. :)They have daily authentic Mexican specials ( it is Mexican owned) And MOFUNGO! It a big menu and includes pernil which usually sells out shortly after it is finished cooking. The staff is very friendly , the place adheres and goes beyond covid protocols and the prices are VERY reasonable. 4 outdoor tables for "dine in"“
“I was in midtown Manhattan to see a live TV show, Gutfeld. I had some time before lining up outside the TV channel's building, so I stopped in for a quick lunch at this place. It is, apparently, open 24 hours, which is interesting given it's location right smack in the middle of midtown. I ordered some hot items from the hot bar, which is extensive. I chose the eggplant parmesan with rice. The food was good. This restaurant does not look to be the most hygienically pleasing, but, on the other hand, it was not expensive and the offerings I chose were tasty. The service was OK. One other note is that when I asked for regular water, they handed me an empty cup which I had to fill from a tap, they did not have any of those water filtration systems you see at many other restaurants, kind of a cheap touch.“
