“My partner and I came after a tough workout recently on a Saturday afternoon, as Revelie had been on our radar for a few months! The wait wasn't terribly long at 3:30 (we waited about 30 min outside, though it was cold). The food was tasty and good quality, I liked the chopped cheese the most. Fun diner feel too! There was a minor holdup to actually get the food, but definitely worth it once we actually got to try it. Would recommend!“
“Fantastic food, fun take on diner staples! Every dish is a version of something you might get somewhere else, just made excellent. Casual atmosphere, but also buzzy and fun. Make a reservation for dinner or get there early for brunch because it does get quite crowded. You probably won’t have a super long meal (food comes out quite quickly - just like a good diner!).“
“Nice place, like in the movie and good location. You can easily combine it with a visit to the Moma Ps1 or Sculpture Center. The service people were all very friendly too. The food was ok. But I didn't expect gourmet food in a diner. I definitely recommend it for the experience!“
“Amazing, uncomplicated food that's tasty and really good value. The challah bread is particularly good, and I love the potato soup. It's also a very welcoming place to eat if you're on your own - just take a seat at the counter!“
“A perfect establishment—solid breakfast food, kind servers, and a vibe that reminds me of going to breakfast with my dad as a kid. Other diners in the city are at least twice as expensive and don’t provide half the warmth or charm of this place. Thank you thank you Mike’s!!!“
“Happened upon this restaurant with friends, and what a great find it was! Food was very good. I had the Enchiladas with their special Mole sauce. Excellent. The staff was also very friendly and attentive. This will now be on my list of favorite restaurants to visit and recommend.“
“Excellent service and great atmosphere! Everyone is so attentive and helpful. The food is delicious and affordable. Their happy hour is really good. The drinks are well made and they are not cheap with the liquor.Well done guys, we will be back soon!!“
“Awesome brunch. Wait is really long on the weekend however and they only do walk-ins. Food came out slow and service left something to be desired but food mostly made up for it. I'd definitely try and come here more often if I lived closer and it wasn't as busy!“
“Such a brilliant idea seeing your waiters and waitresses take turns to sing amazing songs to the patrons whilst they eat their meals. A very good concept that also helps the artists too by raising money to support anyone struggling financially so they can pursue their dream of making it in the Big Apple. We made a special effort to go and queue up hoping to get a table and relieved the queue wasn't too bad. Enjoyed the whole thing very much. Thank you for the experience. Hope to see you next time I'm in New York from the UK.“
“We stumbled upon this diner on a quick overnight trip to NYC. It’s everything we were looking for, delicious food made quick with excellent service. The owner at the front was greeting everyone like old friends and you could just feel the sense of community. He seemed to know most people by name. We split a Philly cheesesteak and a BLT sandwich for lunch. They were both excellent. Would definitely recommend. 10/10!“
“It's a cool old real NYC diner you can get full and not have to spend alot of money. The menu is huge. The place has some serious history you can feel it when you're inside lol and for that they get 5 stars from me❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️This is what'd you call a greasy spoon.Nice friendly staff. Always Happy to see it around??“
“Discovered yet another gem of a diner in NY, and it's safe to say it's quickly become one of my favorites. The Apple Caramel Crumb Tart and toast were beyond words, simply legit and delicious. It's one of those places that keeps pulling you back in, making you fall in love with it a little more each visit. But the real surprise was the Egg Cream, served up in a delightful vanilla flavor. Contrary to what I initially thought it might taste like (somewhere close to eggnog?), it was wonderfully creamy with a light, velvety, and slightly fizzy texture. The vanilla was hearty and present, making the drink resemble a toned-down milkshake. Absolutely loved it and it's apparently a must-try NY diner classic. The service was attentive, adding to the overall great experience. Although a bit more explanation about the Egg Cream would have been appreciated (it seemed so normal here that our server was a bit stuck on how to describe it), it was a minor hiccup in an otherwise fantastic dining experience. Definitely a spot worth checking out for anyone looking to enjoy some true diner delights in New York.Vegetarian options: There are some food items that doesn’t involve meatsDietary restrictions: I see those with difficulty with gluten will struggle hereKid-friendliness: Yes, kids will love the most of their offeringsWheelchair accessibility: It’s pretty special place the wheelchair shouldn’t be a problem“
“I got to sit as the “bar” of an old school diner! I loved every second of it.The atmosphere was great, it was busy but had this buzz of everyone chatting and having a good time. The food was exactly what I expected. I had the classic eggs Benny with Canadian bacon and was not disappointed.Highly recommend!Oh and the pies and cakes look amazing.“
“Had breakfast there twice. Once solo and the next time with my wife. Consecutive Tuesdays. Just there this morning, after the golf range at Chelsea Piers. It's a combination of Greek and Mexican specialties. I have sampled the eggs overeasy with corned beef and this time had three poached eggs with fresh tomato and feta, home fries and coffee. All wonderful. My wife had fried eggs with ham on top of grilled taco. She loved it. This is a top notch diner with excellent service.“
“Mama Jo is just an amazing human being. The breakfast hits right on the spot. Coffee is even more amazing. If you work near or around GC or are taking the train from/to GC around peak time morning’s - you need to stop by!Vegetarian options: Veggies can get the Greek Spinach Pie or Olive Bread“
“Breakfast Burrito and Red Flannel Hash with chunks of real corned beef, not has out of a can, and low sodium) and cubed sweet potatoes and beets! Generous portions, very tasty food. Friendly service, innovative menu. And if you are staying in the very nearby Club Wyndham Midtown 45) you get a free 10% discount (after showing your room key).“
“Great local diner. Good service and good food. They made sure to accommodate our requests for no pork items( got turkey bacon and chicken sausage). Good coffee as well. Close to a little strip mall and other shops and on the way to JFK. Come here for breakfast often. Only complaint is that the parking lot gets packed sometimes as place is often busy and it’s kind of difficult at times to pull out of the place as it’s small.“
“A classic no frills diner, they had seating for my group of 5 immediately for 11 AM on a Saturday and was a really good price! I got the Spanish egg white omelette (which I still don't know what exactly was in it other than mushrooms and onions). It came with toast and home fries and although was a little on the oily side, was good and cheap! Quick service and hits the diner food itch.“
“It's a diner and exactly what you would expect only no greasy spoons! It's clear the the owner hires cooks who love the food they prepare and the servers like being there.I didn't use the bathrooms but everything else seemed clean. We got the Reuben sandwich and Impossible burger with fries and onion rings.Fresh and hot with swift service and great portion sizes! The fries were hot but with lots of fry nuggets (underachieving bits smaller than my little finger). The onion rings were perfect as were the sandwiches. I added Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. We would definitely come back!Vegetarian options: Impossible burger“
“Start your day right at "Sunrise Bites" in New York! This charming morning spot serves up a delightful breakfast experience with a side of positivity. From the warm greetings at the door to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, every detail is designed to kickstart your day with a smile. Their menu boasts delicious options ranging from fluffy pancakes to hearty omelets, all prepared with care. Friendly staff and cozy ambiance make Sunrise Bites a must-visit for a delightful morning in the city!“
“Had our breakfast here every day during our recent 5 day stay in NYC. Worth the wait some mornings. Friendly staff, especially Josie - beautiful, smiley, friendly and welcoming. Tasty, filling, great value for money breakfasts - set us up for the day.“
“Burgers and Chinese food at one place, never would have thought! Burgers were good, big and juicy, and relatively inexpensive. The "caramelized onions" were those fried onions you get from a can and not really caramelized onions. But for 10 bucks with fries and a can of soda, im ok with it.“
“This was a happy accident for me. I booked this not realizing that it was a Vegan restaurant. Never having eaten vegan food before I was a bit apprehensive on whether I would enjoy....well I'm happy to say I not only enjoyed but LOVED the experience. How the heck you make a vegan bacon egg and cheese is beyond me but whatever magic they use is working. Delicious! Very cool vibe and decor and very friendly staff as a bonus.“
“We were looking for an original diner in this area.We went in not sure the expert as going to be worth the price of seating for lunch in NYC.We were welcomed and served so professionally and nicely by Fernando & Luis much beyond our expectations. Food was fresh, served generously and with great care. The Cobb salad was judge and excellent (only missing some blue cheese to be perfect!), I finished it the day after.Dietary restrictions: Parler au chef cuisinier, très adaptable !“
“I go here with friends who live nearby; it's a staple. We all usually end up ordering the Souvlaki platter; they are a Greek diner, after all. It's always tasty, and the atmosphere is a typical diner; it's bright, clean, and busy. They trimmed their menu down a bit after COVID, but there is still something for everyone here, including picky eaters.“
“The waiter was amazed. Dimitri C. gave excellent service the food was well cook n taste amazing. Thank u so much for the great service. Dimitri thank u we will be backKid-friendliness: We came with out 7 month out n the light n lots of tv keep him busy. Love that“
“We had lunch here, and sat outside on a lovely fall day. Service was a bit funky -- not bad at all, but somewhat forgetful -- but the staff was friendly, apologetic when appropriate, and enjoyable. The food was very good. Classic old-style diner with a broad-ranging menu. Everything we had was well-prepared, tasty, and served hot. I'll go back. A little gem.“
“Top notch! I was skeptical of the high ratings since many of the places we've been to in Manhattan have been higher rated than I would give them but ZAZA'S has earned it. The turkey bacon was the best I've ever had and the French toast was divine. My husband also said it was 4.5 stars for him, the highest rating he voiced for any place we visited this trip.“
“I didn't get to take any photos but this was a great find for a late night meal. Have cash or Venmo app ready. We ordered tacos and burritos. Everything came out fresh and fast. Their chili sauce is fire and have just the right amount of heat. They ran out of horchata for me but I'll come back and try again!“
“This place has always had great food I have been eating here 20 plus years the weekend get super busy so be prepared to wait for a table they have the best lemonade around but if you're not in to sweet stuff like my wife don't get it or ask for less “
“we were very happy with our breakfast sandwiches! I had a few questions regarding coffee grinds. the man was knowledgeable and happy to share information! overall 10/10 :) Nice Latin American decor - also, very clean, organized and spacious cafe!“
“First breakfast of our trip brought us to this diner afew blocks from our hotel. We were seated immediately and served straight away. We opted for the Sunday brunch which is available from 10am and at $22 per person, was value for money.Would highly recommend this place if you are visiting and in the area“
“I guarantee you aren't going to find a more diverse and amazing menu. So many choices and everything was so good. I got the Ruben served open face with your choice of pastrami or corned beef. I got the corned beef and the wife got pastrami. So good! The sweet potato fries, OMG. I don't know how they make them so good but I've never had better. Just trust me on this one, stop once and you'll go back.Parking: Easy to park when we went and it was free.“
“My friends and I came in for a quick brunch and were very happy we did! The server was super friendly and efficient, and the food was so much better than expected. The menu items we got were simple, classic breakfast items, but between the eggs all being cooked perfectly and the wonderful surprise of the cinnamon Belgian waffles, it was one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. It's very no-frills good food.“
“The check in was a tad chaotic, even with a reservation, but it was a Sunday morning after all. However the Carnegie overcame my initial skeptical impression by offering excellent service with vast portions of food for a fair price in an expensive city. I would definitely return in the future.“
“It is a nice place for breakfast and coffee. Portions are satisfying. The omelettes are delicious and the staff is really friendly. If you are staying in this area or passing through, you should give this place a try. Greetings to my Greek friend. ??“
“Est. 1995Layout/atmosphere*Orange painted walls/yellow painted windows; mostly booths; bar in back with coffee station, wine bottles & cakes (no seating); enclosed outdoor dining area in front of entrance on sidewalk; tables out on sidewalk on Bethune StService*SolidFood/drink*Sunny Side Eggs on Focaccia (two eggs, turkey, avocado & arugula) - good; solid bread, runny egg, crunch of the arugula*Blueberry muffin - really good; came out still warm; soft but still some texture in each bite; no add-ons needed“
“What a fantastic diner. Super authentic with warm welcoming staff. All the things on the menu that you would hope and expect to be there. We ate waffles and pancakes with litres of maple syrup and crispy bacon- all washed down with chocolate milkshake and coffee. Definitely worth a trip!!! Walk off the calories with a leisurely walk to the Met museum or Central Park!!! Well done ME diner, you smashed it:)“
“It’s an oasis in Canarsie Brooklyn. Much sweet or unsweetened juices and salads. Thank you Mellissa original, Mellisa’s sister number one and number two. You are all efficient business women and fine young ladies. This is the best American diner in the middle of hard working New Yorkers.“
“Love this place! my family and I have brunch almost every Sunday after church. We LOVE Sikah, Irene, Nana and Maria. Helen is wonderful amd treats me and my kids like family. The food is also delicious - the spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parm, calamari, turkey burger, and the list goes on!!“
“Tucked away old school diner.Had breakfast 4 times.Service was super nice on the first two days.On the other two days also nice but a bit taciturn...The food was delicious, fresh and the portion size was completely OK.Pancakes were super tasty, as were the omelettes.Price ok for Manhattan. For 4 people, expect to pay $75-80 with tip.“
“Homey diner spot in the neighborhood and it’s a real gem. Kinda hard to notice from the store front but inside is a bustling and welcoming family-owned diner. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick to serve. Their coffee is delicious and I have yet to find a dish that I wasn’t satisfied with. Tried the corned hash with eggs and it was yum :) The chicken salad triple decker sandwich was also delicious. The food is always made fresh and super filling! Will definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu! Thanks for the great service!“
“This is a traditional NY style Greek diner, huge menu, coffee all day, porcelain booths, the works. Lots of seating including sides with fishbowl views of Westchester and Buhre Avenues ... If that is your thing. Such a place is a comfort for many, as it is for me.“
“Popped in for a Sunday breakfast at 11:30am ish with 2 friends. There was a small line but we didn’t have to wait longer than 15 minutes for a nice booth table inside. The owner/manager was super nice and actually came out and talked to eat waiting party and shared when we would be able to get a table. Ordered the garden omelette and shared a pancake which was super fluffy. The ambiance inside felt like the cozy neighborhood diner experience that I want for a weekend breakfast. Service was great, would easily visit again next time I’m in Brooklyn Heights“
“Tosti stands out as an excellent lunch spot, great for gatherings of friends and family alike. Their ability to accommodate diners with ease and efficiency makes every visit smooth and enjoyable. With meals served quickly, guests are spared long waits, perfect for lively groups. The restaurant’s vibrant atmosphere ensures an energetic dining experience, complemented by the staff’s friendly and welcoming attitude. Offering delicious food, rapid service, and a congenial setting, Tosti is a prime choice for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable meal with loved ones and friends.“
“Argentine-run restaurant almost hidden on 37th Av. in Long Island City. We got there with google maps. Very warm and friendly welcome in a typical American spacious environment. The proposal is very rich as well as tasty and plentiful for a light or more substantial breakfast suitable for a day on tour in New York. Lower than average prices. Advised.“
“Small homey diner with good food and good coffee. They have a wide variety of menu items including health conscious options and a natural smoothie bar. The customer service was excellent. The staff was attentive, warm, and kind. The inside is small but cozy. A great spot for a coffee date, friend date, or solo date.“
“Hands down one of the best Diners in the Boogie Down Bronx for sure. The food is on point (exceptional) and the staff gives you that family-oriented feel if you dine in. Affordability is key for me, and this Diner meets my expectations. Top Diner in the Bronx for sure!!!!!“
“I have been coming here for three years. The owners create a warm friendly environment. They have a solid breakfast, crispy, tasty bacon, limitless coffee and good home fries.I usually get an omelet, English muffin or bagel with sweet potato fries and a side of avocado. Everything is always fresh and delicious. Their sweet potato fries are excellent. As a side note, I love an English muffin with jelly, eggs and bacon. The salty bacon and sweet jelly combine together nicely. If I do not get breakfast I usually get the mixed greens and avocado with chicken and a baked potato. Salad and avocado are always perfectly fresh as is the baked potato served with butter and sour cream.Last week, I had a burger and it was tender and tasty. The sandwiches I have had are all excellent. The only downside is that when I finish my meal I am always extremely satisfied and full with no room for dessert“
“Ok, so I would call this a greasy spoon, but a good one. Some diners give ridiculous portions or have slick decor, but most are typically very busy and expensive.City diner is just a real diner. The food is good, the staff is friendly and efficient, the portions are perfect and the prices are reasonable. I'm almost hesitant to give it such a good review because it's never over crowded and you never have to wait in line. This is one of my favorite places to grab breakfast with my wife.“
