“the pineapple salsa is phenomenal not as good as the avocado salsa which they took away and it makes me so upset because it was my favorite but I'm so glad they have the pineapple salsa now it is my favorite it is amazing I take home at least10 of the to-go cups every time I go there and ask for extra chips they're amazing I'm going to enjoy laying in bed tonight eating my chips and pineapple salsa thank you“

“Absolutely amazing! My daughter and I had an appointment in the area today, and being not from the area I asked for recommendations on the Long Island Foodies page. You did not disappoint!! We ordered four tacos (the crispy chicken was my favorite,) corn, jalapeño poppers and drinks. Every single item was amazing! Then the staff - we are outside and from the first staff member we met to the last the service was top notch! Extra thanks to the gentleman who made sure to bring me out some Fat Boy Sauce, because I mentioned it was our first time he said “you have to have it.” He was right. We did! And Sal. Every restaurant should have someone as welcoming and lovely as Sal. He made us feel like regulars on our first time. My daughter has already asked to take the hour trip back again next week, and I’m thinking about it.“

“We came here on a thurs even around 6pm...Was pretty crowded but got a table in the middle..The sound level is pretty high at 3/4 capacity but somehow you seem to flow with it because of the atmosphere... People enjoying good mex food are more enjoyable to be around for some reason..anyway...lighting as with most place is difficult to read menu but once the order was in,alot of fun...I noticed the food to be very FRESH...I immediately tasted that in the beans on my Mexican special and the Flautas,chimichanga etc were all delicious stuffed and perfectly cooked!..Fajita steak was so nicely marinated and charred but med inside..Perfect!..Wait staff were all very pleasant....I enjoyed my visit and will defin visit during a slow day,maybe lunch for a lil more quiet....“

“Such delicious and fresh Mexican food with great specials / pricing. You can tell the family / owner takes price in their restaurant. We ordered the empanadas, burritos, tacos, rice and beans and all were equally yummy. Nothing was greasy - all freshly prepared. They also have a selection of hot sauces you can choose from and each were so flavorful. I just came back for more empanadas today! This is our new weekly spot for takeout. Also, their dining room has a beautiful mural. You won’t regret eating here!“

“This was the 3rd year in a row we have catered from Texaquito. Work with me to create an appropriate catering menu for my parties and have fair prices. The food is always delicious. Chips, salsa, guac, jalapeño poppers, empanadas, taco bar with hard and soft shell options, roasted chicken, beef, fajita veggies, churros, and all the fixings plus many options of sauces. Also, needed some options dairy free and they accommodated with no issues. Have also done regular take out - burrito, quesadilla. All excellent!“

“Obsessed with updating my reviews lately, so here's another one for you. The Local has my heart and it's been a go to place to take friends and family when their in the area and back on LI. As my friend who I lunched with on Saturday said "it has a Queensy vibe" which it totally does, only you will see by the interior decor, it's proud to be on LI and I'm so happy by that. Custom subway signs referring to LI spots is what provides the decor for this place along with chalkboards showcasing the beer list. These days, when I want a beer, I don't look at the list anymore. I tell the staff what I like (usually something on the citrusy side) and I go with it. This is exactly what I did and our server did not steer us wrong. Do I know what beer I had, no...But was she spot on in her recommendation? Yes, she was! Food menu is always changing here, another thing I love, so that Cuban stuffed pretzel was a pleasant surprise when I saw it featured. We jumped at that. As you know I'm a sucker for a special and a French dip was on their special menu. I went for it and never looked back. The meat was so flavorful and the ratio of meat to cheese was perfect. The bread had the right amount of crunch and I hit it with the Old Bay fries and it's the perfect meal. Their sauces are great too, ask for roasted garlic ourthe chipotle aioli on the side. They pair amazing with any of their fries. This place really does get better each time I go. I always opt for a sandwich/burger but I'm sure anything on this menu is dynamite. Brunch is solid too.“

“This restaurant is similar to a Chipotle or Moe's, as you come in and order at the counter and walk down the showcase choosing what you'd like. It's separated into two different departments. One is Mexican style options (salads, tacos, fajitas, etc...) and the other is frozen yogurt and traditional salads (Greek, Caesar, etc). The restaurant in itself is spacious and clean! And the staff was so helpful, friendly and patient. Here's what we ordered! A chopped Greek salad, a Vegetarian Iguana salad, a Lost Coast sandwich and a Diet Coke. The Greek salad was very large and filled with all different veggies. The dressing, a little too much, but more is better then skimpy. I'd ask for a little less dressing next time. The Iguana salad was filled, tasty, and hit the spot! Both salads came with tortilla chips which were a perfect complement to the salads. Now, the fish sandwich was fair. The fish was cold, not crispy and underwhelming for sure. But, the coleslaw on top was very good. The sodas are refillable which is a plus. Lastly, the prices were fair and decent. Overall, for a taco/salad joint this place holds the 5 stars well.“

“I'm sitting in Del Fuego as I write this as I eat my complimentary chips and salsa. Sal our waiter is amazing he knows everything on the menu and is willing to change the regular menu items to accommodate our tastes I ordered the taco of the month which is so delicious it should be added to the menu. The fries are crispy and some of the best I've had anywhere. We are also enjoying a chimichanga which is loaded with filling and deep fried to perfection.“

They also offered some kind of "pick 3" menu deal - I can't recall the main dish options but I chose a burger, then you can choose a soup or salad, and a drink or dessert. There were 2 of us and our bill without tip came to about $24. Gotta mention that we were in a rush but they had us out in plenty of time!“
