This was our third visit to Davenport Press. There were 7 of us. 3 of us tried the Lobster and Shrimp Crepes, 3 others tried the Ossombucco and the last chose a Chicken dish. We also split 3 desserts among the group. Everything was delicious.
The Davenport Press is an underrated Mineola gem. If you're looking for a place in the area -- maybe as you hop off the Mineola LIRR station -- this is the PERFECT place to go. Last night, I had a reservation at another restaurant for 13 people that turned out to be abysmal (unbeknownst to me, they had decided to seat us in an indoor/outdoor location with a broken space heater) and the Davenport legitimately saved the day. The service was excellent. Very loud on Peak Busy times. Seating is very tight. They pack you in. If you are looking for a quiet, intimate setting, this is not the place on busy peak times.
