“It was such a pleasure to have the cafe almost all to ourselves and to enjoy the company of Filomena and Raymond before the big party on Saturday Night. We were invited to come back, and we were very tempted, but I am not from Mt. Vernon, and I was traveling solo on the public transportation. The cappuccinos and hot chocolate were just what we needed after a hefty Brazilian dinner across the street. The chatter with Filomena about her life, family, and cafe was just lovely. Very sweet woman, hard working, loves her family and friends and seems to really enjoy her life. That energy is shown in her hospitality, her vitality, and her warmth. The cafe is pretty large, very clean, nicely renovated and seems to be the big party in town on Saturday nights. Live tango and Italian music along with dancing. I promise to catch it next time. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they offered real Italian Birra Morettis. Yum!! They take me back to hot afternoons in Italy.“

“Can’t say enough good things about this place! It has quickly become my go to for coffee and breakfast on the weekends. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful - really top notch customer service. Excellent bagels and other menu items like their roll sandwiches and breakfast burrito wrap - and they even have premade lunch and dinner items to go AND lots of pastelitos. Love Fleetwood Deli and I will continue to come back as often as I can!“

“The Healthy in Dyckman Juice Bar is one of my new favorites! The variety of food options available is mind boggling and I mean that in a good way. As someone who doesn’t eat dairy, I love it here. My favorite thing I’ve tried so far is the Salmon rice bowl. It’s so healthy, delicious, filling, and well priced! The avocado toast with the eggs was hitting too! You must give this gem a try. “Fabulous! You could spend so much money in here and never feel unhappy about it. Totally vegan it's actually quite large with lots of places to sit and just plants everywhere. if I had more money, I would buy myself every single plant and item they have here. lovely food, lovely staff, highly recommend! please support your neighborhood, vegan place.“

“I enjoyed the avocado toast, with two fried eggs (extra) (they don't do poached). Nothing fancy, nothing catchy. When it came out I prejudged and was thinking, oh hmm, this might not be good. But overall the avocado and the eggs were good enough for a 4⭐, and I think the two things that helped to push it over the edge to 5⭐ were the bread and the pickled peppers. In particular the pickled peppers added a little bit of sweetness and a little kick. Pleasant surprise.Matcha latte was reasonable and not remarkable -- lacking in latte art but slightly making up for it in portion. Also, could have been sifted/whisked some more because there were lumpy chunks at the bottom. Nevertheless I won't let this pull down the 5⭐ for food.~10am on a rainy Sunday morning but the place was almost full. And there was a robust pickup / delivery business.“

“The interior is very cute, but the space is too small for people to sit and eat coffee or bread.Personally, I recommend iced tiramisu latte because it is so delicious.Parking: There's a lot to say about this...After confirming that I could park for free inside the building, I went in and parked... but I couldn't enter the building itself, so I had to call someone when I went in, and when I went back to pick up my car, I had to call someone, but there was no response and there was no place to ask, so I had to drive directly into the basement. I walked down the street.“

“Went around Monday afternoon, was in the mood for something for a quick bite. When you walk in there is always a warm and cheerful welcome. Grace is always so kind and patient to customers who go in, was unsure of what to get yet she was so kind to explain the items the café provided. Decided to buy a bacon and cheese egg sandwich, K-corn dog, and Croffles. She was so kind explaining each ingredient and it’s uniqueness. 10/10 would come again!!“

“Wanted to regroup and have coffee after a visit to The Cloisters, and Cafe Bloom was the perfect spot. The cafe is small and cozy, the staff was very friendly, and the coffee (a flat white) was delicious. Sadly we already had dinner plans so didn't get food. So glad we stopped in, it's really nice to find a place that is exactly what you need at that moment.“

“Cute tiny cafe with delicious, gourmet health made completely from scratch. The owner/chef is very professional, quick yet thorough and careful. We ordered a smoothie, veggie empanada, Mediterranean salad, veggie bowl with egg and a falafel wrap. The 2 large fried eggs were cooked medium to perfection as requested. Every bite was powerful and delicious, our toes were dancing while we ate!“

“Cute cafe located in the Inwood area. I usually get a dirty chai with oat milk and it always hits! If you get there early enough you might get lucky and be able to get a pastry. I'm a little obsessed with the everything bagel seasoning cream cheese filled croissant (sounds like a mouthful). It's just perfect; salty, rich and filling little snack you can take on the go with your coffee. My fave on the weekend. Staff is also pretty friendly and patient because if you're anything like me you will easily get distracted by all the goodies near the counter.“

“Tucked away inside Mushtari, a plant/hardware store, this tiny coffee shop serves espresso with Café Grumpy beans. The air inside is lush with all the plants around you. Nice barista, fast service. To-go cups only, but there is some limited seating.“

I ordered an assortment of pastries for a work meeting, and the team of nearly 20 people absolutely loved it and even took some for colleagues as well. “I visited here Mar 2024, and I really like the atmosphere and food they have. I ordered my go to drink, hot americano. The coffee was strong with hint of sour flaove which I do not like, but other than that everything else was okay.There isn't much sitting here so it's best for take out.Parking: More parking lot in the back of the building.“

“Great new place that opened recently. Trendy atmosphere, very clean, and the owner is very kind. We ordered a grapefruit ade and a custard + red bean taiyaki. The taiyaki was heavenly, definitely recommend. Homemade batter, not too sweet, delicious filling. Mochi like texture. Definitely coming back!“

“I love this place. They have won awards for their avocado toast and when you try it you’ll see why. Everything tastes homemade and made with love. I love their espresso too. 3 stars for service because I had an incident where I was given non gluten free bread once and also cheese when I asked for none as I have both food intolerances which cause massive widespread inflammation for me that can last weeks into months. The person I spoke dealt with did not apologize/seemed annnoyed and it happened both times with her. However, it’s such a rare find to find a place with such good food and GF options for me (coming from the BX) that I wound up going back and it hasn’t happened since. Everyone there knows me now and automatically knows what I order but I just think people need to take food allergies and concerns much more seriously than they do. “Go here immediately. Everything we had was delicious! Classic Mediterranean with a modern twist. Service is delightful and shop is sweet. Byrek (tried both spinach and cheese) are best I’ve ever had. Greek(ish) salad is so good with the figs. Carrot soup also amazing. “This was my first time in this eatery and i did not know what to expect. I also never had a burek before so i was excited to try it at this establishment. Upon entry the ambiance is a nice laid back chill cafe with plenty of seating and nice lighting. The service was at the front where you place your order. Since it was my first time, the staff helped navigate me into the traditional meat burek and a nice peach juice drink made from an albanian company.it was delicious and very affordable. I bought a slice and it was enough to feed two people! I will come back here again absolutely and try the other items in the menu! Thanks for the nice food and friendly service A+“

“I am in love. I have come twice here and the drive is worth it. The staff is extremely kind and attentive. The music is calming and low. It is a quite workspace with comfortable seating and free wifi. The coffee is amazing. I've gotten a French vanilla capuchino and it tastes amazing. The froth taste like marshmallow which I love. “Stopped by Saturday morning craving a matcha and they delivered! First off this place is so cute, I can't wait to come by in the summer and sit outside for a while . “Lovely little shop! To get in, you’ll want to go up the stairs and not down into the basement part (I was a little confused). But I like the elevation and looking down at people from the window.This is not a good cafe to study at though. It’s more of a ?vibes✨?️ place. There is no wifi and only counter seating (but ample outlets if you need to charge your phone while looking out the window).The staff are super nice! I got a turmeric latte because this cafe has that “eclectic art kid kind of out there” energy. Beautiful latte and cute mug and they served it with a free hibiscus cookie!!! I’ve never had a turmeric latte before tho so I can’t judge how good it is but it tasted like spicy milk“

“Great bakery with amazing sandwiches and pastries. Now they opened a meat restaurant next door!! I took my daughter to eat at Noir last night. Was really good! The plum salad with the citrus beet dressing was amazing. Like so fresh and we couldn’t get enough of that dressing!!! And I loved the shaved fennel salad too…my daughter doesn’t like fennel so, more for me!!! We shared the schnitzel because I heard it was the best and it was so yummy! perfectly crunchy and tasty and moist. The servers were friendly and attentive. The dining room filled up while we were there, on a random Tuesday!! And everyone seemed to be enjoying. Can’t wait to go back.“

“I came here on a Sunday afternoon to work. It's a small place, so there are not many tables, but they have WiFi and outlets. The cafe is covered in real plants. The servers were kind and friendly and you could tell the barista was passionate about the art of coffee. The food and drinks were great: * Matcha Yuzu - 10/10 - The matcha flavor is not strong and earthy, so it's perfect for non matcha lovers. The yuzu syrup adds a nice brightness of flavor, and the addition of the sparkling water makes the drink extra refreshing. I saw the barista hand whip the matcha too. * Cortado - 8/10 - I'm not a coffee drinker, so take this review with a grain of salt. This drink is pretty strong since it's equal parts espresso and milk, but I liked the flavor of the beans. * Chocolate Croissant - 8.5/10 - The pastry was buttery, flakey and light. I wish there was a bit more chocolate tho because only 1/3 of the bites had chocolate. Overall, I would definitely come again for the vibes and food. I want to try their hot food options next time.“

For the penny price of a cup of coffee, you could surround yourself with the finest ideas of the age, literate and structured minds that could give you for the cost of a conversation everything you might get from a university education. Sometimes literally, so frequently were professors in attendance. I seem to have found one, somehow in New York, misplaced in time. I walked into a conversation comparing the composition of Daft Punk to the structure of classical music, had a serious analysis on Dostoyevsky's the Gambler, and a seriously good cup of coffee inside of 15 minutes. “The other great reviews are legit. I was skeptical until I ate here myself this morning. Very good food (above average diner / deli fare), nice service in this instance by one guy who was doing everything from restocking shelves to running the cash register, and surprisingly reasonable prices. I had a cheese omelette and home fries. The eggs were fluffy and fresh and you could tell the potatoes were done by a real cook who cares. The self-serve coffee was the usual grade of diner coffee but certainly was not bad. I don't think refills were free as in a real diner, however. It's on the second floor of a large Citibank office building. Parking seems adequate, with spaces out front and in a parking lot on the side.“

“Love Effy’s! The lattes are divine - a secret gem and perfect way to start the meal. We got the Middle Eastern breakfast and the labneh and beets were so fresh and delicious. “Mila’s Cafe is breath of fresh air in NYC and a reminder of what a joy it is to support small businesses. You can sit down or take out. It is CASH-ONLY. The food is incredible and so are the two employees; Sergio and the cashier. You can order any breakfast sandwich or platter, and the prices are truly reasonable. Sometimes there may be a line, so please be patient as there are only two people but the wait is well worth it.“

It was a bit crowded as many are working on their laptops. They have free wifi.We placed our orders quickly and grabbed a table. It didn't take too long before they brought the lattes and the food. The service was quick and everything was very tasty. I ordered the panino al Crudo and the focaccia was crunchy yet soft, nicely toasted. The mustard sauce adds a nice favor to the prosciutto and provolone cheese. Highly recommended. My friend had the egg sammy combo with hash brown and drip coffee. She upgraded to a latte. Her feedback is also everything is very tasty. It is a great place to hang with friends or grab a quick lunch. I'll bring friends next time if they are in my neighborhood.“
