“Just had the absolute pleasure of dining at La Casa Bronxville for the first time. Where do I start? It had been recommended to me by a couple of friends as a really unique, quality twist to the Mexican dining genre and were they ever correct. Started with the warm and friendly greeting and spacious well decored bar and dining areas. Once seated and presented with the menu - I was pleasantly suprised with the cool spin on some of the more traditional Mexican menu items (ex. Oyster soft tacos to die for - and I don't even like oysters but these were out of this world). The quality of the ingredients and food items are clearly a top priority for the management and the chef. The owner Spencer Pingle is very present and you feel it. He explained that the chips, guac and many other main items are freshly made in house daily - any wow the flavors pop!!! I can go on for quite a bit about this Westchester GEM but I will simply recommend that you go for this experience and see for yourself. Very reasonably priced for the impeccable food quality, portions and presentation. YES YES YES!!!!“
“De los mejores burritos que puedes encontrar en el Bronx , gran sabor! Los tacos y los nachos tambien están muy buenos , no comía aquí desde hace 5 años y todo sigue con el mismo sabor , riquísimo ! La horchata y la limonada es natural y muy buena .“
“Love! Love! Love! I come atleast once a week for the last 2 years! it’s a friendly environment and the fooood is everything. Yonkers finest margaritas for sure I highly recommend ask for pavel she’s definitely the best bartender!!!! ???“
“Golden Service!!! Beautiful shop, Amazing Food and Churros to die for!!!!Divinely led to Don Chuy’s Tacos. Amazing Street Corn and Guac your world. Taco Bowl salad was divine with Shrimp and a chicken Quesadillas deliciously Made. Overall Amazing!!!!!!“
“I have been going to G's for over 20 years. The food is excellent. I love the breakfast burrito with chorizo, and their tortas, and their flautas. Everything thing is outstanding. They make great coffee The service is awesome. Very nice.“
“Absolutely delicious Oaxacan food. I've always wanted to visit Oaxaca and this place definitely gave us a taste of what it will be like. The restaurant is small with a few tables but it wasn't crowded when we went for lunch on a holiday Monday. My boyfriend and I shared the mole poblano, mole oaxaqueño, and molcajete. The mole dishes came with rice, beans, and warm tortilla and I also got a small horchata. Everything came out piping hot and fresh, bursting with flavor with every bite. Nothing was too spicy but if you like sweeter things, I would highly recommend the mole poblano.“
“Embarking on a culinary expedition to this local taqueria, I found myself ensconced in a veritable fiesta of flavors and textures, a testament to the prowess of the owner, Jose, whose recommendations became the lodestar of our gastronomic journey. The Steak a la Mexicano Tacos were a triumph of generosity, with portions scoring a robust 9/10, each bite a harmonious blend of succulence and spice, though the freshness fluttered at a 7/10, leaving a slight yearning for the zest of just-plucked produce. The Chicken Fajita Quesadilla was a vibrant tapestry of flavor, meriting an 8/10, with the cheese melting into the well-seasoned chicken in a decadent embrace, though the ingredients, while robust, hovered at a 7/10, occasionally lacking the punch of peak harvest vivacity. The Barbacoa Soup was a simmering cauldron of comfort, its depth and complexity cocooning the soul in warmth, yet it too danced around the 7/10 mark for freshness, suggesting a slight detour from the garden's embrace. The service, however, was unparalleled, a perfect 10/10, with staff moving with the precision and grace of seasoned culinarians, ensuring every need was anticipated and met with a smile.Presentation was an 8/10, each dish a canvas where color and form played in delightful harmony, inviting the eye to feast long before the palate. Overall, the experience was a solid 8.5/10, a delectable sojourn that promises to beckon the taste buds back to its doors. This taqueria, under the sage guidance of Jose, melds tradition with a hint of modernity, crafting an ambiance where each visit unfurls new layers of culinary delight.“
“Came here today for lunch with my husband and it was not only delicious food, but the service was amazing. The women were so kind and the restaurant was beautiful, colorful, and cozy. We ordered the Quesabirria and it was out of this world 10/10 stars! I highly recommend coming to this place for some fresh flavors and for a nice and friendly atmosphere.“
“I love love love this place. Best steak tacos around!! Caesar is an amazing bartender! Keeps my glass full and cold! ❤️Whether it’s a hard day or a great day I always leave this place smiling ?Catch us here for amazing taco Tuesdays ?“
“I really enjoy this place. Food is great and always fresh. I love the tres leches cake and the fish tacos. The mexican decorations around the restaurant are so beautiful. I also like that is a family owned business. Service is great. I like going atleast once a week.“
“This is the best place to get Mexican food in yonkers, I've tried a lot of places in the area but nothing comes close to here. I've had Tacos Al Pastor, Tacos Dorados and Enchiladas de Mole Poblano. They also make incredible in house hot sauces. The only thing they do not have is any hard liquor on site, so don't expect margaritas but the food is enough to satisfy anyone, come check out this hidden gem in Yonkers!“
“The owner of this restaurant, Victor, is the main star here. I have never met a restaurant owner that has shown such incredible hospitality like Victor has. He is incredible and the main reason we will always come back. The food is outstanding as well. The shrimp enchiladas are my go to every time. The shrimp is always cooked perfectly and cut into small pieces which I love. The sauce on the enchiladas is so flavorful and delicious that I dip my chips in it as well. My boyfriend loves the burrito! He gets it every time as well. The restaurant is cozy and has a rei Mexican authentic feel to it. We're so grateful to have Victor and his amazing restaurant so close to us!“
“This is a very underrated truck in the city. One of the best birria spots I've tried in a while. I tried this place on new years, and it was sooo good, I dragged any of my friends that mentioned anything about food that day. I first got the birria torta, which was a heavenly sandwich, and a great deal for 10$. I also went back for a birria quesadilla, which was also really good! The service was quick both times, and I really appreciate them keeping reasonable prices on new years, with 1 dollar waters and 2 dollar sodas! I can't speak too much about the ambiance because I assume this was a temporary location for new years, but I would follow this truck anywhere. No food pics, food was gone way before I ever thought about taking a picture.“
“I've been to Tobalá a couple of times since they opened, and their food, drinks, and service have always been great. But last night, they were absolutely stunning. I tried a few dishes (Memelas de Wagyu and Enmoladas de Pato) for the first time, and I was in shock, super delicious!! I want to congratulate their staff and owners for their constant effort to elevate the experience at Tobalá and improve every day, bringing this beautiful concept to the community. Definitely my favorite restaurant in the area.“
“Me and my daughter, enjoyed this restaurant so much during our Mommy and Me weekend! The atmosphere was laid back and quite relaxing. The service was superb and the food was so good, we had to order food to bring home. I would give this establishment 6 stars if I could. We were both very pleased and we will be dining here again very soon. If you have not been here, you should definitely give them a visit. Peace and Love, Chele from the Block.“
“I ordered two beef steak quesadillas with the flour taco and those were absolutely fantastic!! Tender bits of steak, and a green chile sauce and a red hot sauce served in small plastic cups to pour all over these heavenly dishes! Enter the Tacos; I want you guys to know that you cannot order just ONE taco, they need to be ordered two at a time. So if you want just ONE taco they won't sell it to you! I ordered two chicken tacos and two steak (carnitas) tacos WITHOUT CILANTRO ! I'm allergic to cilantro. They did a great job of cleaning the stove top before they prepared and heated my food order. Also I told them my wife is allergic to pork, (she's Muslim & it's just easier to tell chefs at these type of establishments that my wife has "allergies" to any pork products. The Tacos were good. Not amazing, but satisfying. I then ordered the chicken fingers which came with a HUGE portion of hot, steamy, French fries! The fries were fried to perfection and the potato flavor was not overpowered by the oil it was fried in. The fries were pretty much perfection. The chicken fingers were square pieces of fried chicken covered in a dark brown bread crumb with some green herbs in the bread crumbs that I could not identify. I didn't like the chicken fingers. They were not what I was expecting. The breading was not tasty and there were short and stubby cuts of flat chicken. I didn't like the looks or the taste. All of this came out to 41$ and some change. I thought overall the food, minus the chicken fingers was fresh- well prepared - and appetizing. The price is a little steep for my pockets. So I probably wouldn't be going here all the time because of pricing alone. Overall the place is very clean and the food appears to be fresh and delicious; but skip the chicken fingers.... Buon Provecho! Buon Appetito!“
“Nachos are DELICIOUS!! Food in general was very good and portions are abundant. Also they are generous with the grated cheese in top and I challenge anyone to find something wrong with that! Highly recommend. I'll come back again. And again. And again.“
“I wanted to leave 3.5 stars, because we only tried short rib tacos. I was very pleasantly surprised by these tacos. Fantastic tacos. We had a regular house margarita and a Don's Paloma. Both are very good. They also have a large selection of tequilas at all price levels. The staff is very friendly and courteous. I even forgot take pics!“
“This place is amazing! I’m shocked there’s not more reviews raving about it. I started working in the area recently and although there’s taco spots on every block, I make the 10 minute walk here every day with no problem. The food is amazing, the meat tender and not dry. And the staff is extremely kind and welcoming. The lady makes my food with love every time and I feel at home. Thank you guys so much for your hospitality. Will be coming here forever :)“
“This is our favorite Mexican Restaurant at this moment. The food is delicious, even our toddlers devour the food I love the steak quesadillas! The drinks are also top notch. The beat Frozen Passion Fruit Margarita, hands down! You don't want to miss this place! They will treat you like family!“
“The spot is super small. Only 3 stools available for seating. The food was delicious! I had the chicken, steak and pork tacos. All three were delicious but the pork taco was soooo good. The pork meat is mixed with ear. It’s the ‘mixto’ pork taco. The staff is very friendly. When I’m back I want to try the birria and al pastor proteins.“
“I got the Gutierrez Torta and it is one of the best tortas I have ever tried! The horchata was quite satisfying too and the staff were friendly. We did have a couple of miscommunications with the order and the meats on the tacos were a little dry. But, the empanadas and tostadas were both delicious!I'd certainly recommend stopping by even if just for that one torta“
“when you enter the interior is kind of odd with one table inside along with a few window seats (two tables outside) but don’t let that turn you away. the food was fresh & tasty.I ordered the Chilaquiles & the grilled chicken caesar wrap. the Chilaquiles had a wonderful green sauce & lots of yummy cheese. the caesar wrap was jam packed with fresh crunchy lettuce, avocado, caesar dressing, & grilled chicken.(side note, the fries were delicious too! thin, crispy, & seasoned well!)it’s a small business folks…food takes time. this isn’t fast food mediocrity!the service was great & attentive. it’s a solid choice! Will come again :)“
“This is the best restaurant in whole Westchester, the burrito California, the bistec with onions and the camaronês an la plancha are amazing. Not even my mom can cook so good like that,The place is clean, the environment fantastic, the owner is always over there and comes to the table to talkThanks a lot ?Parking: There are plenty of parking spaces“
“Finally a really delicious taco place in the area. The service was great, the lady at the register was so nice, friendly and helpful. We ordered to take home, had planned on eating inside but there was no heat inside. My wife had Birria Tacos and a Quesabarria, she really enjoyed them both, especially the Tacos. I had the crunchy Taco and Quesadillas, both were very good. The crunchy Taco was so good, this place really knows how to make Tacos. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend trying. Also ordered churros, but didn't try yet.“
“Wow! After looking at many places on Columbus that just didn’t thrill us, we were SO happy to find the incredibly delicious Mexican cuisine at Nina’s last night I had the Cochinita Pibil (with an orange habanero salsa on the side that will let you know who’s boss…) and my old friend had Enchiladas Mole with chicken. Excellent and authentic food with warm, friendly staff, and a great bar selection with many tequilas. Nina’s is great! Reasonable too! Glad to give credit where it’s due to this 7mo old establishment that I hope stays for many years! Will return for more!“
“First time visit, had the burger with sweet potato fries, the burger was delicious! Sat at the bar and had a mexician coffee martini and all I can say is "can I have another"Would definitely go back but later in the afternoon when there are not so many families there.“
“Small, cozy atmosphere with yummy food and drinks. Guacamole was fresh, chips crisp. Chuleta al pastor amazing with its pineapple jam, moro and shaved brussel sprouts salad. The corn was yummy. I expected the maple maduros to be sweeter because of the maple but they were regular maduros which was still perfectly fine. Tamarind margarita and mezcal drink were perfect. I will definitely recommend and be back.“
“Always have such a good experience when I dine here. The food is incredible. Drinks are tasty and fun. The staff is always so welcoming and lovely. Definitely recommend for a date night or a night out with friends! Oh and the churros are out of this world!“
“Visiting family in Westchester from Los Angeles - Molcajete definitely passed the bar. The shrimp was big, juicy and fresh, the steak (we got the Molcajete, so it came with everything) was a nice cut and well cooked. Salsas were all super tasty and the guac was legit. Only slight LA pickiness is that it was missing the nopal.“
“Cannot recommend this place highly enough, the food was both delicious and creative, the staff was so unbelievably fun and kind and generous, and the energy inside was all good vibes all the time, come come come! It's places like this that bring life to the city!“
“Real autentic mexican world heritage taste. From tacos, burritos, burritos bowl, Meat lovers beef, pork chicken, spicy red or green salsas. Beers or Mexican bottle sodas.. To dine in or street sidewalk, take out. Delivery by all apps avaliable. Prices $$. Young and kindly perssonel. Safety place at edge of Upper East Manhattan.“
“My first time trying this place since it changed its name. We ordered tamales, tacos and a torta. Tamales taste authentic, much larger than what I’m used too, but that’s a plus. Torta had a lot of meat, very good. Tacos were also very good, and loaded with meat. I enjoyed the salsa verde and the spicy red salsa as well. I’ve been hoping for a good authentic Mexican spot in Whitestone so I don’t have to drive to College Point or Corona, so glad I gave this place another chance.“
“Great addition to the list of authentic Mexican restaurants in 138th street. The food and service are stellar at the upscale Hacienda Agave. We started out with appetizers- tortas with chicharrón, ceviche, tlacoyo, tuna tostadas and esquisites. It was all delicious. Next up were quesadilla de Carnitas: soo good! The mole de pollo which was phenomenal and every dish tasted better than the next. The Chamorra was my favorite- lamb shank in a rich stew, we also had the Branzino- which came beautifully wrapped in corn husk, it was moist and had a very delicate scent of herbs. For dessert: the churros were crispy and soft with dulce de leche. The tres leches was perfect and not too sweet and the flan was velvety and rich. The cocktails are varied and there are choices for all tastes. I started off with a non alcohol drink- cucumber and ginger- the bar was so accommodating and made our dinner party horchata martinis and a non alcoholic horchata martini! Highly Recommend !“
“10/10 Would Definitely recommend. Only issue I had was I was charged 3 different prices for margaritas. It was Margarita Monday and the AD said all margaritas where $6.Regardless of this everything was amazing. The food came out quick!Ended the date with the churro bits (it was too good I forgot to take a picture)“
“I absolutely loved this place. Totally memorable. I celebrated my husband's 60th birthday and they went above and beyond on thier hospitality. I really was pleased I chose this place. The food was very enjoyable and very nice presentation, a succulent artistry . The owners are so sweet. I wish them the best in success for thier business.“
“This place was a first try for me, the atmosphere was down to earth and the employees handled my order with a smile. And they even have Mexican soda. The food was amazing and my most favorite dish was the steak birria tacos. It was PHENOMENAL.Vegetarian options: There are veggie tacos and they also have a veggie taco salad.Kid-friendliness: There are mini sized tacos for kids and other things that come small sizes. Perfect portion for kids.“
“After a miscommunication with our reservation time for 15 of us, Eliseo went out of his way to accommodate us as best he could. Dinner was wonderful, everything everyone ordered was delicious. I had the Korean tacos and they were so good. They also make the guac right in front of the table and was delicious, you get to choose if you want spicy or not. Highly recommend this place if you want to indulge in some Mexican food with a Mariachi band that takes requests on a Friday night. Our server Jay was a delight and he was extremely attentive to our every need. The decorations were beautiful! I loved it here and will be coming back soon!“
“We love coming to WTG, food and drinks are always delish!!! We have been coming here for a long time and we must say Carson is the best waitress we’ve encountered! She is beyond sweet and very attentive. Jerry the manager who has been here for a long time is also great. Always checking on customers. Keep up the good work!“
“We came on a Saturday for a college reunion. They had a live performer who kept a great ambiance. I tried one Spice Mango Daiquiri and ended up having three as it was so refreshing and flavorful. Definitely coming back. Recommended for groupsWheelchair accessibility: It’s on the first floor. Has a ramp by the entrance.“
“Stumbled here waiting for my car at dealership. I saw the rating and was sold. We dined in. Let me tell you. Get the damn chicken quesadilla!!! It is absolutely delicious. The moment I took a bite and felt the cloudy texture of the right amount of cheese, meat and tortilla. Incredible find. Their steak burrito was filled with a boat load of meat. Highly satisfied. I’m coming here again for sure.“
“I live around the neighborhood and decided to try this place out . I must say it was delicious! Very hard to find authentic Mexican food in the UWS. Great Latin music in the background and the drinks are just prefect.Kid-friendliness: Love how they have a clean high chair and perfect place to sit the baby and have the stroller on one side“
“Amazing authentic Mexican/ Salvadoran cuisine. Three of us tried: 1) torta milanesa - chicken was tender and the bread was soft, very filling, we brought half home, 2) seafood soup- so much seafood (crab, fish, shrimp, mussels, squid, clam) and huge- very big, good to share among 3 people if you're sampling lots of dishes, 3) birria tacos which were flavorful and fresh (didn't come with consommé), 4) al pastor tacos, touch of sweetness, 5) pork, cheese, beans papusa (very filling, we shared 1, 6) guacamole which was presented in a traditional bowl and wasn't too spicy and 7) a elote tamale but haven't tried it yet bc we were so full so we packed it to-go. Service was good and the place had fun music videos playing. We would gladly come back. Everything was fresh, tasty and affordable.“
“They do not serve the food cold! That's a freaken lie! I live a few blocks away and shop sometimes right after and when i get home its still hot! So please don't believe that. The lines of people speaks for itself! The foods is so delicious and fresh and rated top best on 12 News! Try for yourselfIt's also sad that people give it 1 star because they had to give a tip ! ???“
“We've been coming to this 100% Gluten free restaurant for about a year now. The food is always delicious. The service is fantastic. They provide great service with a smile and relax atmosphere. My son needs to eat Gluten free and he loves coming to eat here. The burrito, enchiladas, and yucca fries are delicious. The chicken and steak fajita is very good. My son loves the chicken tenders and fries, my daughter loves the beef tacos. This is a great GF restaurant. I definitely recommend.“
“I don’t go to the Bronx enough ?. Anyway, I only had an empanada de queso and a tamale shared with a friend. I wasn’t hungry but rather just more curious and feeding curiosity more than the tummy. My review is for the kind service. I appreciate the people who allowed my friend and I to sit and catch up over a snack. ? Kind service goes a long way.Foodwise, I enjoyed the empanada and empanada. Tamale was a bit too mushy for my taste— I like firm tamales, but it was good green sauce.“
“Thanks to invitation of Francisco my family had a chance to try real Mexican food, tacos and burger was delicious also we try drinks, really recommending as a try, we travel specifically from Brooklyn to this location and was really surprised positively by this neighborhood of restaurants. Positive are also prices on menu and friendly staff.“
