“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“

“Nice Matin is a bright and lively restaurant. The servers are friendly, helpful, and often check in with your table. Their food is very good and has some unique brunch options (grapefruit with granola topping, scrambled eggs with Marquez sausage, etc.) Yet they have the beloved choices of egg benedicts, sandwiches, and entrees such as salmon and steak even at brunch time. The prices are very good for Manhattan and every seat was filled during our Saturday brunch.“

“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. This was our second time here and it has quickly become one of our goto places in Astoria. From the greeting at the door to the selection of great wine and cocktails- all unique because the are craft brews- to the staff answering our many questions about the very different and delicious menu to the quality of the food- an awesome experience. Last week we were there and enjoyed live jazz and the musicians mingled and talked with us. The decor is very comfortable. Looking forward to attending the special event nights, too. “My two nieces and I popped in this morning on our way to the Natural History Museum. I’ll admit I was hesitant but thankfully I listened to my nieces! I had the avocado and eggs in a crepe, which was the best gluten-free sandwich I have ever had. Did not miss the bread at all. My 14 year old chose the Nutella crepe with banana and the 9 ounce Açaí bowl. Oldest selected one of the big bowls … it was a work of art. Highly recommend and we will be back on our next trip. The decor is def a vibe and hardcore beach vibes holding true to the name.When I sat down, I realized there’s a happy hour on drinks until 7. I was so happy. But while the bartender saw me eventually, he didn’t actually take my order until 6:58pm ?? I was so anxious!! One bartender for a large location, plus for servers is insane. I sat against the window side, and he mostly hovered around the front of the bar and the back. Basically every side except mine. Thankfully he did honor the hh & what a steal! $13 instead of $18 pina colada. It was strong tooo. It was, so, good that even though I had terrible service I’m going to come back for that pina colada. I just won’t sit in the area I sat at.The Pink Wave chicken sandwich was alright. It’s weird that it comes in a to go bag vs a plate. It was equivalent to a McDonald’s burger. Don’t come with high expectations. It’s $5 for a reason.Another odd thing about the place is that the music was random. A lot of 90s hip hop, some bops and some random. I’m surprised they don’t keep to the theme and only play reggae. They also were screening Mamma Mia that no one was watching. The place has a lot of potential but there were definitely some big misses.Total was $22 all in with tip. Recommend for a quick happy hour. I’m sure the outside experience is totally different too.“
“My wife's German grandma loves this place, and often treats us to the family style special. The food is good (certainly the best BBQ you can get in NYC) and the service is always excellent. It does tend to get busy and loud, sometimes louder than is comfortable, but it's always a good time. We went once for lunch, and since it wasn't as busy, that was the best experience we had there. Prices are pretty good, especially for Manhattan. Always have a great time here and love to get good BBQ even this far north!Kid-friendliness: A bit loud for kids, but they put out a coloring page with crayons. There are a few racy pictures on the wall, but they're high up in the corner and my 4 year old didn't notice. She's too focused on the excellent mac and cheese“

We got the bulgogi rice bowl and a make your own bowl with fried chicken. Both had generous heaping portions of meat. I would say my appetite is fairly large and I couldn't even finish half of my bowl! The bulgogi was tender and juicy, and the vegetables that came with my bowl were delicious. The make your own bowl was also phenomenal! The cucumber kimchi and pickled turnips were some of my favorites. Definitely adding this place to my regular rotation of meals and I can't wait to have it again!“

I asked to leave out a few things and they did it correctly and didn't seem bothered by it.Despite the fact that the inside of the restaurant is huge, and 75% of it was full, we got our food quite quickly.With the burger you can have fries or a small salad. For the burgers they also had a bernaise sauce? It's on the side so it is optional. Over the last 20 years in that neighborhood, I have gone at least 80% of the time.The one drawback is that they played music in the background that can make it hard to hear.“

It's as if you stepped into Italy. They offer some delicious flavors , especially chocolate hazelnut. Some flavors are rotated so that there are surprises to entice you. Of course, they have sprinkles and fun cones in different sizes and cups, but the best part is the GELATO!“

He was adept at finding ways to explain more technical aspects of the bike I was looking at in a way that helped me understand, which was extremely helpful. I ended up buying the Trek FX Sport 6 which is the biggest investment I’ve ever made in a bike. Even though Piermont Bicycle Connection is an hour from me, they earned a devoted customer in me because of the care and attention Sunny gave me. I will be back and will recommend to others. “We found this place on a spur of the moment lunch date decision and so glad we did as we really enjoyed ourselves so much. The pizza is fantastic and we also enjoyed a shrimp app with this incredible tomato sauce and got cheese served with some crust to soak up that yummy sauce. The owner Stephanie I think is her name was so welcoming and even let our dog come join us as it was late and not crowded in the front. Our service was perfect too and I will return for sure maybe for dinner to try the other pasta dishes and more pizza.“

“Cookies looked so good we forgot to take a picture of the actual box of cookies we ordered. We got the box of four, Kitchen Sink, Stuffed Nutella, S’mores & OG Chunk. All the cookies were super fresh; hard but soft outside with a gooey warm inside..YUM! My favorite was the OG Chunk (had some sea salt on top) and the stuffed nutella. The kitchen sink was also very good especially with the potato chips but I just wish it didn’t have caramel drizzle on top. Definitely want to come again to try other flavors, but one thing I did have a problem with is the political views on the outside of the door. I do wish I noticed before walking in but I think political views on the outside of a cookie store is not necessary. Other than that, great cookies!“

The drinks are reasonably priced and the Tres Fish Tacos are BOMB. I appreciate the fact that they choose to be a sustainable bar with their LED lighting and purchasing of carbon offsets. It's hard for bars to reduce their environmental impact so any step matters. It always seems like everyone's having a good time here- not trashy at all, just a good neighborhood bar.
