“My friends and I had a great dinner at Sazon y Pilon one Saturday night. I was so excited to try this place out. I ate SO much food and felt SO full afterwards so it was definitely a lovely experience. The restaurant is in a strip mall type area with plenty of parking. The restaurant has a very fun vibe to it, with a bar on the left when you first walk in. We were greeted and taken to a four top table. It's a bit smallish on the inside. We started with drinks. I ordered a coconut mojito and it was so delicious! I highly recommend that drink. It was creamy and minty and perfect! We ordered some empanadas for an appetizer and I wanted to try the black bean soup as well. The black bean soup was SO good. It came with sausage and sour cream. I had a shrimp empanada that was just ok, and my friends said the chicken empanadas were just ok as well. For dinner I ordered the Bistec Encebollado and my friends ordered different kinds of Mofungo. The Bistec Encebollado was awesome! The steak was cooked perfectly and the onions were delicious. It was a good sized portion, so I took half of it home. My friend shared some of her Mofungo with me and I didn't really like it. It tasted a bit too salty? I'm glad I went with the Bistec entree! For dessert you know I have to order the tres leches cake. When it first came out I thought it looked a little dry and was feeling like it may not stack up but boy was I wrong! It was definitely airy and moist. I loved the added cinnamon on the top. It was great! I also want to give a shout out to our waitress, Marissa, I believe her name is. She was so patient with us and our questions and she made great recommendations for us. Thank you Sazon y Pilon for a lovely girls night out!“

“Coming from Brooklyn/Queens where there’s a lot of Spanish restaurants I give this restaurant a 5 star +. I would say I was surprised because it didn’t look like a popular restaurant I barely saw people inside but I took a chance and I won. The food was amazing very very authentic. Not every Spanish restaurant cooks authentic.The seasoning and the cooking of the food was just right. Everyone asked where did you get the food they loved it. Thank you for making my party a hit and allow me to enjoy the party without cooking.“

I’m also thankful for our mesera who was very patient and kind to entertain my limited Spanish speaking skills haha.Some feedback: Service was a little slow at times. I would like to see the staff check on tables more often, as there were moments when we needed an extra plate, napkins, etc. and it was hard to get someone’s attention pero that’s okay, and can be improved upon.“

“Really good food. You get buffet style and then you pay by the weight. But i get to pick from so many Ecuadorean dishes that like. I wish i had a place like this in NYC but definitely recommend for the good food and price. I paid $20 for plate, soup and soda. Too much food had to take it to go.“

“I basically went there for their hot Cheetos elote after I saw pictures online. Apparently, they had that for a limited time. The host personally came up, spoke to us and said they don't have it as a standard item on the menu. But would like to make it for us. They came out looking and tasted delicious!!!! “We came here based on the reviews after an appointment and upper Westchester. This is actually after our second visit.We actually sat in the lounge area by the bar, where it was happy hour and enjoy the music, the energy of the surrounding people and of course the food is excellent. The fusion of Latin and modern cuisines is so ingenious their drinks are phenomenal. This is definitely one of our go to spots when we want to have a blend of delicious fusion and healthy mix together .“

“I dropped by this little gem after hearing about it and I’m so glad I did. I was able to get a half tray of chicharron de pollo for $65 and it was so delicious and they filled the tray to the brim. Perfect spot for Dominican take out or catering. Very easy to miss so drive slow, and they have parking!“

Although the cashiers don’t speak Spanglish a supervisor came out and helped answer any questions I had then he actually bagged my order.
