“This is a good restaurant to go to if you’re on a budget and you’re craving some authentic Latin food. The portion sizes are huge, they can feed two people but some dishes can even feed up to three. The locals who frequent this restaurant are Hispanic men who go there mostly to drink, needless to say the beers are also inexpensive. The locals won’t bother you, they mind their own business. If you aren’t familiar with Latin culture, just know it’s not out of the ordinary for locals to announce hello and or goodbye/enjoy your meal to everyone in a place as they enter or leave. Especially if this place is small, like this restaurant. The waitress was a little inattentive but other than that my wife and I enjoyed our experience.“
“I've been here many times through the years, and although the service has been questionable many of those times, THIS TIME it was actually good! My young friend wanted to take me to her new "favorite taco place". I was shocked when we ended up at Mancora, which is (supposedly) Peruvian. But what do I know? When in Rome do as the Romans, right? So at her urging I ordered Carnitas Tacos (roasted pork yummies), and she ordered Pollo Tacos (chicken, hold the tomatoes!) We also got a bowl of guac which was surprisingly inexpensive and delicious. The tacos come in two's, so note to self, TWO IS ENOUGH! I ordered 4, and sent the extras home with her. I'm not sure how these would do as take-out, whether they'd get soggy or not. If you can go off-peak, you might be better off dining in. We did go in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, and were the only ones in the restaurant for a while. So eyes wide open on this place. Try it, you might get lucky.“
“My wife and I just left Mistura. We can’t begin to tell you how incredible everything was. The moment we walked in Alfredo greeted us with a huge smile as if we were family. That feeling of feeling like we are family lasted the whole night. The food was as good if not better then my fathers. Every bite felt as if my father made that dish for me. Thank you Alfredo and family for making us feel welcomed. We will be back soon and introduce you to our family.Octavio and family“
“We have done a couple parties there the owner never disappoints it can be from 15 to 50 people the food and staff are amazing can't wait to do my son's party there in the spring. All of our freinds always tell us how they enjoy are parties there not to mention the drinks and appetizers.“
“Richie’s was recommended to me by a friend, as I am always looking for good Dominican food in Westchester. The food and services were amazing, I tried the skirt mofongo, which was so delicious! My family and I will definitely be coming back.“
“This place is AMAZING! It is unique and authentic - everything is fresh, and their quesadilla (made with corn / masa is very unique but incredible).Their salsas are perfect on everything they make and the tacos are some of the best I've had (chorizo is my favorite thus far but all have been good). Looking forward to going here and ordering from Uber eats again.“
“Really good food. You get buffet style and then you pay by the weight. But i get to pick from so many Ecuadorean dishes that like. I wish i had a place like this in NYC but definitely recommend for the good food and price. I paid $20 for plate, soup and soda. Too much food had to take it to go.“
“I dropped by this little gem after hearing about it and I’m so glad I did. I was able to get a half tray of chicharron de pollo for $65 and it was so delicious and they filled the tray to the brim. Perfect spot for Dominican take out or catering. Very easy to miss so drive slow, and they have parking!“
“I'd forgotten how much I loved the old Corona lunch turned Ambar Restaurant and recently rediscovered it while in the area craving Dominican food. Great new location with parking and tables instead of the old counter service. I was informed they only serve Sancocho on Monday and Wed. So we had the seafood soup and Oxtail stew instead. The seafood soup came with big pieces of lobster in the shell and was served with a lobster cracker. There was tons of shellfish and seafood as well in a rich delicous soup. The oxtail was divine. We came back two days later just for the Sancocho. Service was great. I highly recommend!“
