“My wife and I have ordered from Previti for several years now thru Door Dash. the food has always been excellent. The other day I had a call from Previti. It was the owner, Joe. He told me that my mother had wandered in after having her car bumper come completely loose on Marcus Ave. She had no phone, and was shaken up by the whole ordeal. Joe called me for her, and gave her a cup of hot tea. I went over, picked her up and got her home. Later my wife and I returned to pick up her car. We decided to eat dinner there and take advantage of the pasta night specials. The lasagna and the rigatoni with meat sauce were both excellent. Thank you Joe and staff for taking good care of my mother, and providing us with an excellent meal! All the best!”

“Wonderful little Chai Shop serving a variety of milk teas and chai with delicious snacks. Such a hidden gem and the owner is really sweet and welcoming. It was my first time trying Kashmiri milk tea and it was absolutely delightful. The boba has the perfect texture too. Nice cozy spot to sit and relax. “THIS is the place to cater your next affair ! Don’t hesitate, book it now ! My wife and I recently experienced the joy of hosting my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding rehearsal dinner for seventy family members and out-of-town friends. We have been regular customers at Umberto’s Pizzeria for years, next door to the restaurant, getting our weekly Sunday or Monday night pizza pie. Nevertheless, we had never previously ventured into their restaurant next door. What a pleasant surprise ! What a smart decision to book the party here at the renowned Umberto’s of New Hyde Park. The second floor of the restaurant opens up into a spacious, light-filled, warm and welcoming room, big enough to feel like a proper celebration event space. There was plenty of room for our family and friends to mingle and even plenty of space for the several toddlers in attendance to sit and play, and run around. They enjoyed the party as much as anyone ! The catering menu provided a wide variety of choices from appetizers, salads, pastas and main courses from which our son and daughter-in-law selected from to satisfy the preferences of all of our guests. The food was delicious, as we’ve come to expect. Also, thank goodness each table received a Grandma’s Pizza. An affair at Umberto’s isn’t complete without a taste of the Grandma Pizza. The wait staff couldn’t have been any more attentive and solicitous. They were sensational. It’s obvious what a well managed team this is, kudos to Katy and Gaetano. Thank you Umberto’s for making this a most memorable affair. One minor note - The menu, to our surprise, doesn’t include dessert. What’s an Italian meal without a tiramasu, cannoli, or napoleon ? Thus, we brought our own which was fine but less satisfying than an Italian pastry to top off the night. - Bruce & Melanie Miller”

“After being rudely treated at Your Mother’s House, my friends and I impulsively decided to stop by Angry Gnome to finish watching the Knicks game and celebrate our friend’s birthday, and I’m so glad we did. From the moment we walked in, the bouncer and the owner, Harry, were kind, and accommodating.

I had brought a birthday cake with me and asked Harry if it would be okay to bring it out, and not only did he say yes, but he even helped me cut the cake and pass it around to everyone. That level of kindness and hospitality truly stood out and completely turned our night around.

The vibes here were amazing, everyone in the bar was friendly, and the atmosphere felt genuinely welcoming and fun. Thank you to Harry and the staff for making our friend’s birthday fun. We’ll definitely be back!”

“We've been passing this place for over 20 years on our trip to New York and never had a chance to stop by... WE MISSED A LOT! We specifically decided on dining at the Omega Diner tonight and the good thing we did! We met there at 7 pm for a family dinner with our son who moved to New York. Kind of a half way between or PA home and his place in NY. The place wasn't very busy. We were sitted right away. The waiter was with us in less than a minute, and in another few minutes we were served our water, seltzer and hot tea. The waiter took our order, advising on what is good and what he would recommend. Great guy! Very friendly, very patient, very customer oriented. My wife got her cream of turkey soup in another few minutes. At that point I added the matzoh ball soup for myself. It was served right away. It looked so good that my son took it from me! I ordered another portion of it and asked to get me an additional bowl to split it. Well, in a few minutes it was served with extra bowl full of additiina steaming broth. This soup tasted very-very good. And the size of that matzoh ball!!! It was of the size of a baseball ⚾️ !!! Yes, and my wife's cream of turkey soup - delicious!!! We did not even want to eat anything else after that but... we already ordered our main meals... Well, everything was served fast and tasted great. My Omega club sandwich (recommended by the waiter) - delicious, Omega appetizers - perfect, deluxe cheeseburger - very nice, baked mix seafood for my wife - tasty and nicely presented, looking very appealing. Obviously, at least half of all this went home with us... We needed room for the sweets. Cappuccino, chocolate chip cookie, chocolate cheesecake - all was great, presentable and delicious! And all this for under $90 (plus tip of course) for the party of four! In today's world this is a pretty good deal! Especially, with such a great service, clean and nicely designed and maintained place and nice portions sizes! We will definitely come back to this place again. They have so many interesting and appealing items on their menu that we want to try...”

“I mainly order take out and service is always prompt, the food always tasty and consistent Everytime. The Singapore noodles and shredded chicken with green chiles are my go to dishes and I’m never disappointed and it always hits the spot. They always respect my modifications regarding no beef or pork in the noodles and the dish is still tasty. The staff is so nice too. The inside is always clean, parking easy. Prices are worth the portions, even with 3 people eating the 2 entrees we always have leftovers for at least 1 more meal. Will continue to come here as always, and one day will expand to try other things in the menu!”

“Umbertos with a calmer vibe... some of my friends argue that the pizza is better at Angolletos . Personally, LOVE them both Equally. Specifically the Sicillian. “In a world where takeout seems to be declining in both quality and affordability, Shah’s is different. If I lost my car, my home, all my money, was expelled by my school and broke both of my legs, I would use my arms to drag myself to this Shah’s location. Nothing can beat the union of rice, chicken, salad, and white sauce, and at this Shah’s location, this iconic dish is perfected. I would also recommend trying the falafel, which is crispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. There is no Shah’s in my city, but it is worth a trip to taste this food. The halal restaurant in my city can’t even make falafel correctly. Shah’s is very fairly priced; for about 12 bucks you can get a platter big enough to bring some leftovers home to your family, and a soda as well. The service is very pleasant as well, and this particular location has a cozy interior setup with booths to enjoy your food in tranquility. As long as a Shah’s Halal Food restaurant still stands somewhere in the world, there is hope for humanity.”

“Today I went to The Clubhouse for the first time. It was a beautiful day so I wanted to go to a restaurant where we could dine outdoors. My spouse, son, and I had four out of four wonderful entrees for brunch and amazing service from Jamie. Jamie was very helpful with the menu choices and her service was impeccable. “Went for late night eats for my nephews graduation. Food was good and waitress Danielle I believe was her name was very sweet and checked on us for drinks and more food as the night went on. The only downside was entering it was after 9 pm and it wasn't too crowded but half the restaurant was closed off and we were a party of 11 so they sat us at 2 separate tables because the hostess didn't know where to sit us to be able to be together so unfortunately we were all not at the same table but we did our best to make it happen. Plenty of bigger parties continued to come in and not sure how their seating arrangements went but hiring younger staff that didn't seem to want to be bothered made it a downfall.”
