This place was out of the $1.50 per slice pizza at 6pm on a Saturday, which is either an intentional fumble or an error in demand forecasting. Anyway, I purchased three regularly priced slices from the nice assortment that they had. The mozzarella slices were totally fine. The chicken/jalapeño slice had poor quality chicken shavings and some gelatinous sauce on it. I couldn't finish it.
Pizza tastes like NOTHING. $3 for cheese and a can of soda is a good deal for food and drink. BUT it's not tasty. It isn't gross it is just so incredibly bland. Basically just bread-like.

Th 99 Cents pizza store is a staple spot for a quick cheap bite when you are bar hopping Greenwich Village.This spot is not fancy. It's a small storefront with standing room only - it's not meant to hang out in. Yes, you will encounter some panhandlers, yes most of the people that go here are either cheap or broke (both).
