Avena Reviews
Everything was amazing. All the flavors went well together!!
This is a very good restaurant even by New York standards, which we have been frequenting now for about 4 years. The cuisine is elegant and the presentation always nicely done in a very appealing but minimalist setting with no rush; you will enjoy an excellent dinner at a leisurely pace as good food was intended to be savored. Awesome lobster risotto and veal Milanese. Great presentation of frito misto but the calamaris needed more salt.

Menu
Avena is a standout restaurant with a focus on pasta dishes like ravioli, bolognese, gnocchi, and a special risotto with morels. The mini dessert plate was a nice touch. The interior merges art, design, and food, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Dishes like Swiss chard "cappuccino," prosciutto/fig/burrata, and porcini pasta with black truffles are highly recommended. The service is excellent, making it a great spot for adult company and conversation. Recently, the interior was renovated and is now stunning. Visitors can enjoy fresh-made pasta with langoustine and seared salmon, along with delicious salads. The restaurant is located slightly on a corner of a shopping street, making it convenient and quiet. The staff, including a waiter named Oscar who speaks Korean well, provide attentive, comfortable service. Though not cheap, the experience is worth it, with most lunch main dishes costing around $30-$40 and good ingredients used in every dish. The calm, elegant atmosphere makes it a perfect place for a relaxed meal, and the overall experience has received high praise from many visitors.
