initially considered leaving because i'm lazy and didn't want to stand, stayed because the menu looked amazing and you could see them putting in that WORK in the kitchen. the food was absolutely incredible. beautiful quality cheese and prosciutto, fusili and skirt steak were unreal, chestnut crème brûlée was delicious. the standing is actually pretty chill and if ur lazy like me you'll get used to it and food is worth it. i would eat their food out of a dog bowl
I love the vibe of this tiny standing wine bar. It reminds me of a traditional Japanese izakaya. You don't get much cozy neighborhood bars in Manhattan anymore, especially not in Chelsea, which is flooded with trendy cocktail bars serving $20 pre-tax/tip cocktails. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are a foodie. The standing part makes it unique, and if you're lucky enough to get a spot further in you can watch the chef make all of the dishes. The food was spectacular, and the drinks are great as well. Give it a try!
