si and i started with a double shot of espresso with amaretto, while i had a cappuccino. we then exchanged about a dozen spoonfuls into one another’s cups (referred to as “making an abomination” repeatedly) and this created a delightful flavor balance of sweet kiki and roasty bouba. we ordered the “tuscany soup” and pesto penne. neither was stellar but once again the abomination proved greater than the sum of its parts. we found that dumping the soup onto the pasta provided a desperately needed wetness. our stomachs proved swift and we left in a glow. we did not respond to the man offering an invitation to the comedy club.

The atmosphere, history, art, & music are worth returning for but the food, & especially the service, leave much to be desired.

This place is iconic and cute but the day my friend and I went about a month ago, it was horrendous. They were understaffed and overcrowded. My friend ordered a hot chocolate and the whipped cream was spoiled so they couldn’t drink it. They got a replacement hot apple cider, which was served in a GLASS container for some reason? So it was too hot to comfortably hold. The waitress was lovely but clearly overworked and was split between far too many tables; she ended up forgetting our table a few times (management needs to hire more people or schedule better). Not the first time I’ve gone and had our table be neglected! Also, another waitress who seated us randomly skipped over us in the line and seated the girl behind us first. I got the FPC club sandwich which was was ok. WAY overpriced for the average quality.

One of my frequent spots. Great, strong Italian coffee and cappuccino. Not fancy, or artisanal but just solid. Reasonably priced. The menu is a mixed bag to be honest, but the club sandwich with smoked salmon is terrific and what I always get. Deserts are fantastic when fresh. If you see them put out/refill the deserts, get one!The service has always been friendly and prompt in my experience. You will frequently see the owner strolling about in his dapper tailored suits and clearly Italian as his first language accent.Atmosphere is singular. You really feel like you are in a cafe in Italy. Small tables, uncomfortable metal chairs, but the vibe is very authentic with legit valuable old world paintings covering the walls, classic early 20th century coffee machine in the corner, dim lighting, Vivaldi' 4 season on track, and genuine Genori china (something you would only find in Michelin star Italian restaurants). In a city full of cafes, Caffe Reggio is unique.

The food was okay! I went during a busy time and it was extremely slow. There is a lot of "order" to the cafe and I think that's part of the charm haha. I wouldn't go again unless I was looking to scribble poetry in a notebook and look brooding or something. The ambiance is very dark academia.

Cappuccino was very good. The ambiance and history of the cafe is the main reason I went here and it did not disappoint. Food is whatever. Nothing too bad or too good. I got a panini.

i love it here. we didn't get much food, mostly just coffee coffee coffee. it's super nice to be able to get a good latte at 9pm. we sat outside because we had a big group, but i'd love to sit inside sometime! the service was ok, but definitely quick!!

Great spot for drinks, great prices too. Espresso Martini was great, Sangria deals were good, but it was missing a bit more “sangria”? It tasted like cold red wine and that’s it.
