I first experienced chirping chicken in the early 2000s when they had a restaurant in Astoria. At the time, it was a bit a novelty (at least in Astoria and for me) to have chicken cooked whole on a gigantic grill. It was amazingly good at first. Solid chicken joint. I live around the corner and eat a mostly keto diet so I come here a lot. The ¼ charboiled chicken is my go-to lunch order and for under $8 with tax (if you pay cash) you can't beat it. The steamed veggie side is tasty too, but a little pricey for the portion size.
