I’ve been here a few times and had better experiences. The food is good WHEN ITS COOKED WELL. For some reason the last time I was here and today the waitress questioned if everything is for me in a disrespectful way. The chicken never disappoints. The staff are always in kind and attentive. I’ve been coming here for years and always order extra food to go because there aren’t many great Dominican restaurants close to my neighborhood like this one.
My girlfriend and I came to visit NY from Chicago, and happened upon this establishment because it was open late. Out of all of the places we've been to in the entire city, this was the only place that was a disappointment. The service was slow (despite us being the only customers there) and the food was mediocre and overpriced for the quality, and they decided to help themselves by adding their own tip, but still left space for you to tip more.
