Rafiqi's is a small Halal food truck chain in NYC. this cart is part in front of Barnes & Noble. this is a small cart. it looks pretty clean. you can see your food being cooked as there are transparent panels in front of the grill. it's a small menu of meat + rice platters as well as a few pita sandwich options. recently got the chicken over rice which was pretty satisfying and filling. the chicken is seasoned well and watched as it got chopped and up and cooked on the grill....read full review
Rating out of 10: 7.5 Came here for their lunch special. Got a lamb over rice and paid $7 (they sign had .99 after the 6 with marker). The rice is very light. Actually probably the lightest halal cart rice I've had. The lamb was minced /shredded to small dots. I asked for no salad thinking the guy will give me more rice. Sadly he did not Is it the best halal I've had? No Would I go back? Eh maybe, I might try to find another halal cart nearby
