“Cash only! Cantonese har cheong fun (fresh shrimp) is one of my favorite foods, and this cart does a delicious take of Cantonese style cheong fun rolls. Their prices are cheap and the system is very efficient. This place has been getting more popular so the line can get long but it moves quickly. They speak Cantonese and English so don't be scared away if you're not Chinese! The only qualm I have is that there's no where nearby to eat. I wanted the rolls while they were hot and ended up wandering awkwardly and trying to eat while walking. Seeing as this is a food card there's nothing they can do about this, but I suggest coming up with a game plan to eat your food once you order.“

“I got the Chicken and Lamb over Rice combo for $7. Yes, 7 dollars flat!!! It was absolutely delicious and a hugee portion for the price and quality. The meat was well seasoned and really tender and juicy. I really loved the lamb and it wasn't gamey at all. The mix of greens you get really freshens things up and adds a nice little crunch. The white sauce is a must. This was probably one of my favorite things I ate on my trip. You get your food really fast too. Sit down at the park nearby and enjoy your meal.Payment is pretty easy, you can Zelle directly to pay or use cash. I don't thinkkk credit was accepted (can't remember).Price, taste, portions, and service... you can't beat it!!“

“Got to be the most flavourful chicken doner I ever had and I am saying this after exploring food through 20+ countries. I tried their doner at 11 in the morning and it was a burst of flavours in my mouth. Great hospitality as they helped me charge my phone as I finish my meal. This review is 5 months late as I visited them in September 2023 but I still remember their taste of doner.“

The chicken hearts imo weren't as fresh as I'd like them, but my fiance said they were good.Me and my fiance found this place on Google maps. People had posted that the couple who runs the cart opens at 5pm. We went on a Sunday and they were running a little late. They got there around 5:30pm but was able to get the cart up and running fairly quickly so we didn't have to wait long after they put the food on. It's cash only.“

All pretty good. Hot sauce is indeed hot though, thank goodness I can take a hit ?. Not sure if a falafel is part of the order but he did give me one. It was cold but still pretty good. I can imagine how good it will be if it is warm. $10 and they take credit card. A nice lunch choice. Compare to other food trucks around. I would think this is a better choice.“

“I have been going around halal carts that are Egyptian, Moroccan, and Lebanese. By far the best one in my opinion is Faisal's Cart.He actually packs it with proper nutrients and doesn't douse it in oil which is very rare for a halal cart. I honestly frequent this cart, as a guy who would rarely eat out due to worries about the quality of the food that's being used. For this cart, it's not a concern and I'd highly recommend this cart 100% possibly the only cart you'll ever see that can serve you broccoli and actual real vegetables!“

“Good midtown lunch option but not standout (aka not worth traveling for). I got the traditional prawn & pork ribs noodles, and to be fair, I might just not be the biggest fan of this dish - I just don't love the thin noodles (I find it a bit too hard). The pork ribs were good although I didn't really care for the shrimp. The soup was tasty.“

“I stopped by this place on my first visit to Urban Hawker and I'm so glad I found it! Urban Hawker itself is a great Singaporean food hall, and while I'd want to try some of the other spots there as well, I'll definitely be coming back to Smokin Joe at some point. Walking through the stalls, the news article at their booth stating they have some of the best fish and chips in New York City is what initially drew me in. The other dishes on the menu looked great too, but I knew that's what I'd have to try. The crust on the fish had good flavour, the fish was tender (albeit a bit thin), the fries were amazingly crispy (almost like Costco food court fries, if any Canadians happen to come across this) and the most addicting pineapple slaw. Each component was great on its own, and everything came together really well. While I don't think I'd had quite enough fish and chips here to substantiate the claim, the fish and chips here are a great pick and I'll definitely be back again.“

Spicy Takoyaki

“Karl has brought Japanese street food that takes a ton of time, care, and skill to do right straight to New York. All the places I've tried Takoyaki from in the city are either microwaved from frozen packets or just aren't that level of quality. Karl sells something that tastes just like what you'd find in the streets of Osaka and brings it to life an ocean away. Noone else can beat it. When I get that itch for good takoyaki there's only one game in town and that's KARLSBALLS.10/10 would ball again.Edit: Takoyaki should be runny and gooey inside. That contrast in texture is another element you get to enjoy. That's how I had it when I was in Osaka. It's something that isn't very common here in the US so give it a shot! I promise you, you will not be disappointed.“

“At 10,300+ reviews, Halal Guys is one of the top most reviewed places in the world! I remember first hearing about Halal Guys back in 2016, my friends who are also yelpers brought me to the Halal Guys location in Costa Mesa, CA which had just opened that year. I had never had gyros before, but after trying it that night I've been hooked ever since! For 8 years now I've been dying to visit the original Halal Guys food cart in New York and I finally got the chance a couple of months ago! Beware! There's a copycat Halal Guys on the opposite side of the block. I was shocked at first that the line wasn't that long, and when I looked over, I saw another Halal stand, it turns out we were standing in the incorrect line. The authentic Halal Guys has a super long wait. I've noticed people on Yelp posting the wrong Halal Guys photos to this page. It sucks that there's a copycat business right next to them to confuse customers. I verified with the guys working the food stand, that they have no relation or connection to the other fake Halal Guys cart a few feet away. So don't make that mistake of going to the wrong food cart. If the line seems too short, you're probably at the wrong cart. We stood outside for about 45 minutes, but to me it worth it since I had been waiting years to visit. I ordered a small beef gyro plate $9 with extra white sauce. Oh my gosh, it's soooo delicious! If you've never had Halal Guys before, you'll be addicted! I'm warning you!“

“First Impression: i'm told by my coworkers that there's usually really long lines for this spot... I lucked out and only two people in front of me, but that's likely because it was 43° outside lol The Noms: Combination plate with chicken and lamb and rice... no tomato no onions salad only, plenty of white sauce, and a little bit of red sauce on the side - surprisingly the salad was very crisp and fresh like it was freshly cut (unlike Halal guys, whose lettuce is usually wilted). This was super satisfying to eat probably one of my top Halal food experiences. As of right now this is my favorite chicken lamb and rice spot. my only complaint is that they have no small plastic cups for the sauces.. so when you ask for it on the side, they squirt it into the corner. I will just bring my own containers, lol. In Conclusion: damn it, I'm sure I'm going to fail my New Year's resolution to lose weight because this spot is right outside my work place and I'm already craving another helping. So definitely becoming. The dude working in the cart is dope AF too, you can tell he has his regulars because he has memorized their orders. Hahah. I look forward to becoming a regular!“
