Best pizza on the UES! And it's crafted even better in this new, beautiful space, at 1716 2nd Ave (corner of 89th). Deliciously crafted, expertly baked thin pies with fresh ingredients and billowy, perfectly browned crust. First time dining at San Matteo and it was absolutely delicious. I ordered the cacio y pepe pizza and it was the best I’ve heard had. The service is great. The owner was very friendly. Can’t wait to go back!

The food is excellent at the new San Matteo. Just like being in Italy. We've been a few times now and have had pizza, calzone, pasta, contorni, various apps and a friend had the veal parm and said it was delicious!
