Amazing vibe been coming for years but the bar is playing Rihanna and Beyoncé and Chris brown which is great don’t get me wrong but not for an authentic old school speakeasy - music is ruining the vibe, where’s frank Sinatra? Ella Fitzgerald?
I truly enjoyed everything about The Backroom - specifically the service and the ambience of the space. For my first time, it was the exact experience I was hoping for and that was advertised. Highly recommend for all ages.

Possibly my favorite speakeasy in New York. It’s giving true prohibition era energy. The dim lit atmosphere, drinks in tea cups and light music makes this place a perfect place to catch up with a friend or a great date spot. Not badly priced for the area either, bartender was great.
