“Duck Island Bakery is Quacking Good . This bakery is a stone throw from the village of Huntington located in Southdown. This spot offers delicious pastries and fresh bread that is perfect for any gathering. Everything is made fresh and the people working here are really nice. When you walk inside it smells so good. I recently got the chocolate croissant block which is a looker and a crowd pleaser with the flaky and chocolaty goodness. There is some outdoor seating but this is more of a grab and go spot and with a parking lot this is a huge plus as the village of Huntington has gotten too busy. “I came in here to text my mom and a friend because there was a creepy guy a block away flirting with me and asking for my number (he looked around my dad’s age), and the owner was really nice and let me sit. I decided to buy a cookie (the oval ones with jelly inside and chocolate at the top) and she gave it to me for free!! I already came here sometimes because they have the best rainbow cookies, although I haven’t been here for a while. “We got our wedding cake from Angela and it was AMAZING!! I would highly recommend getting a cake from her for any occasion. We ordered some tasting cupcakes to determine which flavor combo to go with and it was so hard to choose - the flavor and texture of her cakes are outstanding! Lots of compliments and questions where we ordered it from from our guests. Also, Angela was so helpful and easy to work with.“

“Great little greek bakery. They also have packaged items from Greece and frozen foods. I took my 90 year old mother there, and the 2 women working in the store were super friendly and helpful. We found many items that aren't readily available in most stores. The baked goods were excellent, we bought baklava, galatobureko, spanakopita and tiropita. I recommend all of them. Again, the women working there were very friendly and helpful, beautiful on the outside and on the inside. My mother was very happy that we stopped at this place. Thank you for a great experience.“
