“Food was good. ORDERED 2 Patron me $15 and $ 3 for salt on the rim of the glass. NEVER heard of this. Not even in Manhattan. $18 and not about the money. Worst they snuck in $3.25credit card charge with itemized items. Not even separate from food total,as required by new NYS.law. I have receipt to prove it. Will report this on the next work day. And they slap 18% gratuity also.“
“*Service: 4.5/5*Our server was attentive and friendly, checking in on us at just the right moments. Her recommendations were helpful as well.*Food: 4.8/5*The food at Grammarcy Tavern was great. We ordered the 5 course dinner from the seasonal menu. It was delicious overall. Our favorite was the sweet potato agnolotti. The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars was that the meat selection was light for the price.*Ambiance: 4.9/5*The ambiance at Grammarcy Tavern was warm and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that made us feel like we were in a rustic cabin. The dim lighting and wooden decor added to the charm, and the background music was at just the right volume. The spring inspired greenery brought the season to life.*Overall: 4.7/5*Grammarcy Tavern is a must-visit for anyone looking for a delicious meal in a cozy setting. I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family, and I can't wait to come back and try more of their seasonal offerings.“
“Truly outstanding meal envisioned by mastermind Raymond, accompanied by stellar drinks crafted by Jack, and world class service by Christine. the Shrimp and grits with langoustine was one of the best bites I've had in recent memory. Cannot wait to go back.“
“I’ve been coming to Rolo’s since they first opened and they really never disappoint. The food just gets better and better. Everything is amazing but my hands down favorite is the shrimp. I’d say it’s easily some of if not the best shrimp I’ve ever had in my life. The whole menu just compliments itself from the Calabrian chili butter to the wagyu steak. Also, Sitting in the back of the restaurant is such a cool experience because you get to watch the chefs work their magic on that wood fire grill. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in NYC and in my top 5.“
“The whole experience was phenomenal - starting from very warm welcome, ambience, service and especially the food. The tasting menu options were all encompassing with their best dishes and we really loved all of them. The desert experience was out of the world! Lastly we would like to note a special mention for Javier (captain for our section) - he made sure we had the best experience on a special day including a kitchen tour! Overall totally loved the Michelin 2 experience at Daniel’s and we would highly recommend it.“
“I wasn’t sure what to expect-but I’mExtremely happy I dined at The Four HorsemanEntering the small establishment you are greeted with a nice doorman/host, who takes you into a small but romantic space. Details were perfect when decorating-from the original floor to the walls and art-mood lighting and light jazz on the speakers, the restaurant is very charming and romantic. The staff is meh-waitress seemed uninterested-some staff were wearing baggy long shirts/jackets that don’t work well in tight spots. As we were a table of two sitting in the middle-every time they walked by their tails of the shirt would hit us and our table. If you’re going to wear a very baggy loose shirt-tuck it in-to prevent this annoyance. No one seemed to be pressed for time-taking orders-fresh drinks-etc. the doorman stated when the next reservation was-as a warning not to linger more than 1.30 hours, but the waitstaff seemed clueless to this as it was she and her absence that kept us there almost 2 hours. Mind you-we were enjoying the wine, food, and conversation so we didn’t mind, except we had show tickets and were almost late. The waitress had an air of royalty attitude- better than us-as we are lucky she would visit our table and take our order. This is how she made me feel.Food is as delicious as beautifully plated. The atmosphere and food stole the show-the staff needs training-I’m not going to remove a star from the review for the staffing issues as the restaurant as a whole-and their food-is stellar. However, staff review is 2 stars.Came back for lunch when I was back in town-;lunch service was much better and the food was delicious, again.Kid-friendliness: Not at all-this is a different caliber restaurant where children should not be.Wheelchair accessibility: None. Not ADA compliant at all“
“It is a small and unique fusion Japanese restaurant.LINGO BEEF PIE, it's beef pie. It's so delicious when eaten soaked with the bread we ordered together, and it's fantastic with a glass of wine.CRISPY CAULIFLOWER, white brucoli. The seasoning was a little bit of Kkanpunggi sauce with a hint of Japanese pickled ginger... Oh~??????I ordered HOKKAIDO MILK BREAD... I ordered this to eat with beef pie! So delicious potato bread??Everything was really delicious!andI ordered a special dessert that wasn't on the menu... Sour, refreshing and sweet, it cleanses your mouth properly...(My friend who went with me likes the Chinese style soup... but he said it's not delicious! Please note)If you like Japanese-French fusion, this is perfect??????“
“Such good service! True bottomless and well worth every penny. Food is very good and service is so friendly and fast. After the first visit, it became a regular spot for me and they’ve never disappointed. Helena is amazing and so attentive!“
“The place is beautiful and very well decorated. We were there for Saturday morning brunch. I recommend the American breakfast which is well served for the price. The meat and potatoes are well seasoned. The bread basket is a little expensive for what’s inside, especially for a French person :)“
“I really like this restaurant! The food is high quality and the experience is fine dining but fun/relaxed.The menu is composed of bits of familiar recipes with Korean twists and French culinary techniques. There’s galbi, squid ink fried rice, uni, and mäd toast (which sounded monstrous but I didn’t get to try it this time) plus much more. I liked that the menu is small-sized and minimalist with clearly labeled snacks, little colds, hots, mains, extras, and desserts (menu is posted outside the entrance and on website). The current menu that started in mid-March has snacks/appetizers such as spicy yellowtail tart, beef tartare, fried shiitake mushroom rice balls (I think?, it’s labeled as mushroom arancini on the menu), pork head katsu, and scallion buns with unique sauces on the side ($20 per person, either no one or everyone orders). I tried the mushroom tempura with onion dip too! Everything was elegantly and adorably plated. Our server explained what’s what and suggested how to best enjoy some dishes. They have a really extensive drinks menu (many pages), complete with your usual offerings and their own unique cocktails, rice alcohol, maekgeolli, and even alcohol free cocktails woohoo! Not sure if all of the ice cubes for the alcoholic drinks are engraved with the restaurant’s name and logo but ours were and I thought that was a really cool and personal touch. An equally important part of my dining experience was the atmosphere and service. The staff are attentive, frequently filling glasses low on water and folding napkins when you step away. They also keep the music bopping and adjust their playlists. The lighting is a little dim and the interior is ‘cool club’ vibes but for a slightly more sophisticated audience. It’s a place to come in casual or dressed up a little for fun. It’s best for smaller groups of 1-4 I think based on seating arrangements but they seem to be able to accommodate slightly larger groups at some bigger tables and in the back room. Expect to pay $50-$100 if you get one item from each category on the menu and a drink. Probably $100+ if you get more or multiple drinks. The bar area in the back is across from the kitchen, which might be cool to peek at to see some staff members curating orders.I like that it’s on a quieter block in ktown area. The price range and location filters out loud and teen crowds, so it feels like a great place for young adults and Millenials to catch up or go on a date. It’s a place to sit down and chat while you savor small bites and wait on more food to arrive, so you’ll probably need like 1.5-2 hours if you’re going for a natural relaxed pace. I also saw a family of 5 enjoying dinner together here. Lastly, this is random but the hand soap is heavenly. I can’t wait to see what other menus they craft!!Dietary restrictions: They will ask about dietary restrictions and can modify recipes. If you don’t eat certain ingredients/foods, they can omit snacks too and adjust the price for you accordingly.“
“This was a fantastic experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the staff was courteous, engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a party of 3, and ordered 6 dishes. Each dish came out as it was made and each dish was absolutely delicious. A person in our party had a gluten allergy which was no problem and accommodated with ease. We come to NY every year and this will absolutely be a place we revisit again and again! Vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike will appreciate the dishes and be amazed with the taste! Highly recommended!“
“Amazing food, drinks, and service! The birds of paradise drink was amazing if you like a little spice. They brought out bread (including gluten free bread) with a dipping sauce of olive oil, garlic paste, and peppers that was incredible. We split the caviar topped tater tots, tuna crudo, broccoli (served over yogurt, so unique and one of the best veggie dishes we’ve ever had), and the limone pasta on a gf noodle (gf noodle made in house and my non-gf friend said it was amazing pasta even among non-gf. Every bite was amazing. Top tier service. So knowledgeable about dietary needs. Cute ambiance. Can’t wait to return!Dietary restrictions: Very gluten free friendly! Can modify almost every dish. Very knowledgeable about ingredients, shared fryers, etc.“
“Lovely people, lovely place, incredibly delicious food! Ingredients are very fresh, often from the local farmers market. There are both very creative dishes and classics on the menu. The Queensboro is a special restaurant that not only cares about the quality of their food and atmosphere, but also sincerely cares about the community.Kid-friendliness: Roomy and fun space that is very comfortable for those bringing children. The staff is super friendly with children as well!“
“Great take on Lu rou fan (minced pork and rice), excellent scallion pancakes and awesome dessert (Tian miantuan) that was like a sandwich of sweet fried dough, golden sesame ice cream and condensed milk (plus cilantro and butter dried peanuts)! Great beverages as well such as the slightly sweetened Jasmine iced tea and Sanzo (lychee & calamansi) sparkling water products!“
“Had a wonderful meal this evening at Upland, really enjoyed my artichoke entree and was pleasantly surprised by my lobster main! Luis was so professional and attentive, I loved my complimentary guava sorbet and the honey ice cream was also delish. I highly recommend them, thank you for taking such good care of me for the two hours I was with you.“
“BAR REVIEW ONLY. Came here recently Sunday afternoon close to their closing time but we were welcomed warmly regardless—decided to grab seats at the bar. The restaurant is nice and fancy looking, loved it!Started off with caviar—SO DELICIOUS!! We tried the Siberian Sturgeon ($75/25gr) and Classic Ostra ($95/25gr)—perfect portion for a light bite with drinks. Cocktails were great as well—highly recommend the “Caviar”tini—vodka martini with pomegranate jelly shaped to mimic caviar in the drink!Overall, service was AMAZING! Our bartender was friendly and attentive and made the best drinks!“
“The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service correct and efficient. It has a Michelin star but it does not force you to order set menus or any specific dish. The duck is super delicious and I would say it is the star dish of the house, the quantity is abundant, it is enough for 3 people. The pastas are also very delicious, the bucatini amatriciana comes in a good quantity, but the ripiene is a small dish. You have to book in advance and in general it is a very worthwhile experience.“
“I’ve been thinking about visiting here and I finally did it days ago. It didn’t meet my expectations, also slightly pricy, but some nice things.Ramen was good but average. One a slice of bamboo and a slice of pork, and over $20.Good part for me: the pork was well seasoned and cooked! Definitely the highlight of the whole bowl. And surprisingly, soup is clean, not oily. But overall, the taste was kinda dull, no layers for me.Soft serve was delicious, barley with beautiful honey taste. But it was a little bit watery and too soft, melted really fast.“
“A bit louder than other Michelin-rated establishments. Professional service team but could've had timing and communication down more. Not a significant issue though. Food was fresh and flavorful. Highlights were the tuna tartar canape, the seabass and the nam foc mai mango with coconut rice. No chicken or beef on our menu. Diver scallops were over-cooked.“
“A friend and I enjoyed our visit here, very clean place, opened for dinner at 5:30 with a line out the door. Apparently reservations are necessary, but a few spots are definitely available at the bar for walk ins. My friend and I chose the walk in route and greatly enjoyed the chicken and waffles. The biscuits were just ok, which was a bit of a let down. I am still in search of the best biscuit in nyc and refuse to place it here or with maison/jacob’s pickles.“
“For my husband's birthday, I chose Pavillon, and it was an exceptional experience. Not only was the food fantastic, but the staff were also remarkable. They were warm, professional, and attentive. Elyes, in particular, took excellent care of us, displaying both gentleness and professionalism. It truly was an outstanding dining experience, and I highly recommend it!“
“The best brunch plate that I've ever had. And I don't speak that easily. Felt like I was eating a dinner entree for brunch - in a good way. Duck pastrami hash & poached eggs, caramelized onion, parsley salsa verde & local greens. Poached eggs were cooked perfectly and the salsa was great. The duck and the hash was other worldly. Tons of duck. In almost a stew of small potatoes perfectly softened. In some type of gravy. Wow. Even the greens are great. Nice light dressing. Almost salty. Service was friendly and attentive. My daughter said her avocado toast was excellent. I don't make it to Brooklyn that frequently but can't wait to go back to this great spot. I didn't drink that day but they had a nice looking and well stocked bar.“
“Traif is so outstanding that it reminds me, despite our crumbling society, that there is a beacon of hope, a light at the end of the tunnel in the form of a chef’s tasting menu, where each dish is so flavorful, so delicious, that I shed not one, but several tears that maybe, just maybe, humanity has a chance of food this good still exists.“
“Love this restaurant. The vibe is perfect - elevated but welcoming. The decor is attractive without being overpowering, and even though the ceilings are high, it manages to be cozy. The service is always excellent, and the lovely added touches like an added desert or glass of wine for a special occation are really appreciated. The food is inventive and delicious - last night we split the tuna tartare and the pork belly, and both were perfect. Big plus for Billy at the bar - friendly, knows a lot about New York, knows a lot about the menu! You can't go wrong, either for a special occasion or just a Wednesday night - this is one of the best choices in the West Village.“
“A lovely dine-in bar-restaurant in UWS. I have been there during the happy hours (3:30 to 6 PM) and I would recommend the same. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, best for a group or an intimate date. I would highly recommend the Consulate's Old Fashioned which has Mescal. The French 85 is also good.“
“Good food! Loved the grilled octopus and branzino -- a must try! Lobster pasta was tasty but it was a bit on the sweeter side; I would skip it next time. Focaccia was unique but I think it's a bit overhyped. Overall, service was friendly, food was good, and the ambiance was chill. I would definitely go back.“
“Pecking House had some of the best fried chicken I have had in recent times. It was elevated and you could tell there is an extra level of sophistication to their chicken. Different flavors, different techniques and some Asian fusion aspects that pair so perfectly well with the classic American style fried chicken. Cornbread was excellent, dirty fried rice was also superb and the chili chicken sandwich really hit the spot. Can't wait to return to Pecking House in the future! Service was also excellent; super attentive and next level for a more casual place like this one. Don't sleep on the Peanut butter pudding!“
“Overall - really unique spot that I recommend! The food was the highlight. Kangaroo tartare is a must (details stood out - the homemade chips on down) and the monkfish was one of the more unique fish dishes (along with some incredibly flavorful fried sunchokes) we’ve ever had. The venison heart skewers were tasty and fun, but nothing to write home about and I’d probably skip them next time.Wine menu was solid and the glasses we had were new to us/also well priced.Service was good overall - had a mix of team members working with us and the owner (?) came by multiple times to make sure everyone was doing okay, which was a nice touch.Ambiance-wise it was so so because we were in the back and also sat in between other seatings so it was oddly empty for part of the meal, but I chalk that more up to circumstance than the restaurant itself. The check - we paid $220 for two small plates, one large plate, and 4 glasses of wine. This isn’t bad largely because the wine glasses were well priced and we didn’t eat a ton. The food is definitely on the pricier side for the dish size ($25-30 for small plates, $50+ for large) but not super expensive.“
“5 stars are not enough to tell you how good this place is. We've been staying in the Franklin Guesthouse (hotel adjacent to Madre) for a couple of nights and decided to give Madre a shot - boy were we in for a treat! Firstly, shout out to Armando, who made us feel immediately welcomed with his warmth and energy! For food, we got the Frutti di Mare, Croquetas, Brussels Sprouts, Cornbread Madeleines (compliments from chef) and Chicken - massive MASSIVE props to Chef Bryan and his very talented team. To say that they cooked "well" would be the understatement of 2022. They absolutely blew our minds with top quality medley of ingredients, depth of flavor, and masterful execution in every way. Cocktails were fun and delectable, which added the perfect "pop" to the culinary rocket ship that Madre served up. Just when my wife and I were ready to call it a night, Chef Bryan and Armando were kind enough to bring out the Pot de Creme for us, which was the bow and ribbon on this very special dinner. My only regret of the night was not having enough stomachs to enjoy more of what Madre could serve up. We will definitely be back! Thank you, Madre!“
“The food here was really good and the bottomless brunch option was a great addition to the meal. Our waitress, Daisy, was such a lovely person and was quick to meet any of our needs. I would definitely come again for the food and atmosphere!“
“We came in last Thursday night for some pre dinner drinks while on vacation and we're so glad we found this spot! Our trip was drink/food focused and the bartenders here did not disappoint. My husband and our friend had a "Ramos Gin Fizz", (which was literally like the best cocktail I have ever tasted), I would have had one myself but I was already three deep into the Cucumber Mint Collins (which was also delicious)! There was a great live band playing and it was just what we needed after not being in the city for so long. Can't wait to come back!! Did I mention the bartenders were awesome? (It needed to be said twice).“
“We had dinner here to celebrate my mum's birthday before going to a Broadway show. The service was great and the food was delicious! We had a pre-theatre menu, which was good value, and everything tasted so good. One person in our group has a gluten allergy; they had a GF menu which was nice. I would definitely recommend this place!“
“This wine bar in midtown is a gem among the sea of Irish Pubs and delis. The service is top-notch and international, adding to the welcoming vibe. Went alone, sat at the bar and ordered a charcuterie which was excellent value and quality, paired perfectly with bold reds, handpicked with the help of their awesome servers. Loved it.“
“Food was tasty overall. Cocktails were great. Got the pandan punch (sweet). For food, we got the duck rilette, frog legs (it was alright), unisoba (uni was good quality), oxtail (favorite for the night), and their tres leches cake (it was really good). Service was amazing and so friendly.“
“There are not enough stars for this place!! It’s beyond any expectations! I will start with the atmosphere. It is cozy, European, comfortable, and like home!Food- I tried more different things, and honestly, I don’t know what I could recommend here; everything is so delicious, and I enjoyed every piece!Drinks- unique, fantastic mix, gives you an even better experience of all I already mentioneddService - people who work here make you feel comfortable, and they are ready for all your questions about food and drinks. Just ask them if you are not sure, and they will give you the best recommendation!!All in all, I suggest you to try this place! From my heart, I recommend this restaurant!“
“We had eaten atWe had eaten at Winona’s before and really enjoyed it but when we heard there was a new chef at the helm, we were very hesitant the food would take a turn for the worse. Happy to report we were VERY wrong.Chef Dan Gonzalez is making a really tasty and surprising menu! Every dish was thought out with care and so incredibly tasty. Each new item brought a surprise and delight. The Hake with celery was stunning, the cavatelli with lamb was exceptional, the salad was a star too - flavor in every component! We also opted for a special that was a pasta with uni and citrus with some peppers and it was truly a memorable, delicious dish.In addition to the amazing food, the service was excellent too. Knowledgeable, kind and low key. They were attentive but not overbearing or pushy. We had a late guest in our party and they were so sweet about checking in with us.The space is also cute, so really this is a 10/10 experience.Highly recommend and so excited to come back to try more of Chef Dans incredible food!“
“Otis is a go-to staple in the neighborhood that I bring all of my guests to! I haven’t yet had a dish I didn’t love. Most recently, I visited with someone who wasn’t so sure about mussels. Otis has one of the best mussel dishes I’ve ever had; the mussel-questioner left with a new outlook on how good they can be. Burrata is also a go-to favorite. The bread is made in-house and so delicious…. And the cocktails are fabulous too! The staff and service is the cherry on top. Big love to Otis!“
“A hidden gem in the east village. Food is experimental and delicious to eat. The Hawaiian Asian fusion food is very unique and rare to find in the city. The gluten-free fried chicken is a must go for anyone who has dietary restrictions. It is crispy, juicy and delicious.Szechuan Bolognese is quite an interesting combination of Chinese and Italian cuisine.Heritage pork chop is a very delicious too.Not to mention the dessert!! The brûlée Hawaiian pineapple and the Chocolate Haupia Sundae are too good to miss!I love the intimate environment. Small space without too much pretentious. The service is superb. You can tell the staff generally care about if their customers have a good time there. Very spontaneous, very friendly and very observable. Will come back again!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free fried chicken“
“Super unique and delicious maple praline brown butter pancakes! More cake than pancake. The wait was not long to get a table and the service was prompt, professional, courteous, and didn’t leave us in want of anything. All of our needs were met. Food was prepared much quicker than expected and was all very good! I would definitely recommend this!“
“The crispy eggs Benedict is a treat for the morning - the preparation is a bit of an improvement of the poached egg on this classic style Benedict. The French toast perfectly done with a thin outer crisp and fluffy inside. Great way to start the day!“
“I cannot state enough just how delicious the food is here !!! Soooooooooo good !! Everything was full of soo much flavor and the steak had to have been one of the best cooked steaks I’ve ever had perfect temp and seasoning. It’s pretty inside and perfect to go for a date night the ambiance is nice. Definitely recommend this place“
“Everything about this place was great. We did brunch. We were late but they were very accommodating even with a packed house. Bottomless drinks was great. They were constantly refilling our glasses and we were able to make the most out of it. Food was delicious too. Pancake burger was a must try. Will go back again.“
“The ambiance is inviting, with tasteful decor, but what truly sets this restaurant apart is its food. Each dish is a masterpiece, crafted with care and attention to detail. But it's not just the food that impresses; the service is impeccable as well. The staff are attentive and knowledgeable, always on hand to offer recommendations or answer any questions. In summary outstanding food and top-notch service.“
“Ocean Prime is a must if down in NYC. We had came for my wife’s birthday and had an amazing experience. Our serve Ripon was amazing and made great suggestions for drinks, entrees, and desert. He made sure my wife’s birthday was perfect. The food was amazing and the drinks were great too.“
“Needed a spot for some tea time with a friend. We decided on Gertrude’s. What an experience. The house cocktails were on point. The music….nostalgic. Our server (Kazz) was so fun and attentive. Our whole experience was phenomenal. All of the staff made sure we were enjoying our time. The food was off the hook. Highly recommend the Trout. For sure new favorite neighborhood spot!!!“
“What a cool and awesome vibe! We had an amazing beverage, and the charcuterie board was super yummy! Just a quick walk from Time Square and 100% worth a visit! Colton was our bartender and gave us some other great suggestions on where to go! The experience, overall, was just amazing!!!“
“I recommend everything about this Restaurant....The food was amazing and so was the service.....The menu was simple and elegant. A nice selection of wine. My favorite was the chicken liver mousse with pistachio for appetizers. In addition, I like that they continue to follow Covid-19 protocol. We chose outdoor dining and felt safe and we really had a wonderful time.“
“Ambience was wonderful, service was great, drinks were delicious, food was lackluster. Something was missing. We found a few dishes without the proper seasoning, needing salt or acid. There were highlights- risotto was perfect, agnolotti hit every mark. Nevertheless, it was a good visit and we would love to go back when in NYC again.“
“Iconic Williamsburg brunch with a divine menu. The pancakes were deliciously fluffy study syrup that didn't overpower. Sandwiches looked great too. Quality of food and unbeatable location are the highlights of this venue for me. Excellent coffee.“
“One of the only hot foods place with so many options open super early everyday! This is my go to place for a good meal anytime of the day. Tasty. Clean and always stocked. Service is exceptional and the place is big bright and airy! Very close to the train so easy to get to. So affordable!Kid-friendliness: Nice open area with lots of seating.Wheelchair accessibility: Street front and wide doors“
