“I'm so full, but I can't stop! If you get a waiter named, Bryant. He does a fabulous job serving; patient, proper eye contact, listens well (very attentive), learns your name, he's respectful, polite AND makes sure your table always has room for more food! (If you order more). The gentleman behind the bar; I never got his name but he made FANTASTIC Passion Fruit Mango Margarito. I think it was passion fruit but it definitely had Mango. He does a fabulous job as well.Kid-friendliness: My daughter got the perfect sized ice cream bowl. Iron Vine also makes sure to provide high chairs for families which is greatly appreciated. I truly appreciate Iron Vines service towards families and not just couples (hope my wife doesn't see this).”

“I had originally tried the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich that a coworker brought me and was completely blown away by how good it was. I recently drove from Rockland to get this sandwich with my girlfriend and found out it was actually a seasonal menu item. I opted to try the Thai Fried chicken sandwich and the Green Goddess Chicken Salad BLT instead and both were equally as fantastic as the Buffalo. I would easily try other things on their menu because I know how good it will probably be considering everything I have tried. The Banana Pudding was phenomenal as well. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area or are looking for a reason to go explore and try something new. Please bring back the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich it was one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever tried!”

“WOWThis was a huge surprise. I was visiting a customer in Peekskill New York, and pulled over to grab a small bite to eat from a food truck. I pulled into the lot and noticed there was a big line. When I got on line there were a lot of regulars talking about what they were going to order. I asked one of them what they would recommend, and they said you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. They were so right.I got an order of taco's. You got to pick any three taco's you wanted. and the order came with hand cut fries, and this amazing lime aioli. I had a chorizo, fish, and chicken taco. They might have been the best I ever had. After I finished I had to tell the owner how great the food was. He happened to be the nicest guy, and was truly happy to hear that I thoroughly enjoyed his food. He makes all of his food fresh daily, and makes his own chorizo.I went home that night, and told my son about the truck. That weekend I stopped by again, this time with my son and his fiance. Octavio remembered me right away. We ordered a braised short rib grill cheese on Texas toast, a Cuban sandwich that he made with his own smoked pulled pork, and his home made empanada's. All three of us were amazed with his food.My son was getting married in three weeks, and we had rented an Airbnb for the weekend, and were throwing a rehearsal dinner for about 40 people the night before the wedding. We had already planned on having it catered, but my son mentioned why don't we do something different, and see if Octavio would bring his food truck to the Airbnb instead of using a caterer. It wound up being fantastic. We spoke with Octavio, and picked five items off the menu to serve that night. Everyone at the party raved about the food, and Octavio surprised us at the end by serving his home made caramel stuffed churro's with chocolate sauce.If you love great food, you must give him a visit...”

The porchetta was just crisped up pork belly and was skimpy on the portion considering the price of the sandwich. The waitress said I can substitute the fries for any of the sides but didn't state there would be an upcharge. There was tiny fine print under the sandwiches that says they'll be an upcharge but it's very easy to overlook. I opted for the warm cabbage side which was very tasty and would order again.My friend ordered the beet salad and that looked amazing. I'd suggest trying that and if I go again I'll order that instead.Lastly, the water glass had lipstick on it. I wasn't wearing any. When I asked for a fresh and clean water glass, there was no acknowledgement about the lipstick, even after I pointed it out. That was unprofessional, in my opinion as a former waitress and bartender.Overall, will I go back? Eventually, yes but it's towards the bottom of the list of things to do.”

“This was our go to deli since they opened in Peekskill. Every Saturday morning you would find my son and I ordering our regular breakfast. Sophia and Nick always put smiles on our faces and made us feel like family. Today, is our last day in Peekskill - we had to have breakfast one last time before our move. Upon arrival, we were thrilled to see both Sophia and Nick behind the counter. We chopped it up, had some laughs, and Sophia gave my son a complimentary t-shirt upon our departure. Thank you all for making us feel like part of the family and for providing delicious meals. “The best place to go for Mexican food ina 10 miles radius.Their plates are delicious for all different people. I enjoy the burrito de carne.I enjoy the tacos ? , the ones made with beef (de asado). I like when they make the guacamole next to your table and they ask you what you want to add to your guacamole...with spicy, tomate, lettuce, lime, onions.The super nachos are delicious and taste. Also the flautas (tacos dorados) are amazing ?Quesadillas..mmmm you have to try them.They are an authentic Mexican cuisine (owner ruben from Guadalaja, ??), they have all kinds of Mexican drinks...their specialized in margaritas, they have frozen style or on the rocks...I hear they are the best in Westchester.I can keep writing about my experiences in many years I went to rubens but it will be better if you go and try all and let everyone about your own experience.On the Weekends they transform the restaurant ina big place to dance and have drinks? , ? dance. “I picked up Blondery's S'mores Hot Chocolate and a cinnamon roll at the Beacon Farmers Market recently. OMG. The love that goes into their products is undeniable. Their cinnamon roll was everything good that makes up a cinnamon roll -- light, fresh, the perfect touch of cinnamon -- and THE ICING. I can't. Absolutely incredible. The only downfall was having to share with my daughter, whose eye about popped out of her head when she saw the deliciousness I was enjoying. Pairing that with their S'mores Hot Chocolate was the icing on the proverbial cake. There's magic in everything that Blondery creates. I love that they're a part of our community and am excited to try more of their creations. <3”

At the same time, getting some kind of highly nutritious food is really important for my recovery. My taste buds can’t handle anything too extreme but I still want to eat something delicious. Well let me tell you that I have been living off of Signal Fire Bread and it is doing wonders! When I can’t eat too much it sustains me and I also think it has really helped to rev back up my appetite. Truly whether or not you get brain surgery, I recommend Signal Fire for the tastiest, most nutritious and sustainably made local bread.”

“I have visited Bean Runner multiple times and each time I visit I am very happy with my experiences. It's a very nice place to visit that has a great menu and freshly made coffees. They have local artist's artwork presented on their walls and feature live music events on Fridays and Saturdays. I haven't been to their live performances yet I plan on checking them out in the near future. I highly recommend this place to just come in with yourself or friends to relax and take in the atmosphere they have to offer. The best thing about Bean Runner is that it's much quieter and relaxing than other cafes that can be very busy and loud. Next time you are in Peekskill give The Bean Runner a visit.Parking: Parking on the street is metered yet is free on weekends. There is also a metered parking lot. All the parking is within walking distance.”
