“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“

“Somtum was so delicious. Somtum usually has a strong fish sauce flavor but this one was most lemony and light. The chili powder is a perfect addition to spice it up.The pad kee mao was amazing. The chicken was soft and flavorful and there was the perfect mix of vegetables.We also got the ribs and it was pretty decent but it is meat on the bone so a bit more of a hassle to eat.“

The food never disappoints and the servers and manager are always very attentive and accommodating. My bf and I choose a different plate when we go and have worked our way through the entire menu. We are fourteen months in Riverdale, and have been going to the Japanese place across the street ("Palace" is part of its name) but friends told us about Aoyu, and after tonight's dinner we are converted. Fresh ingredients, full of flavor: even the dinner salad, usually a mundane dish of iceberg lettuce, one grape tomato, and orange dressing, was full of fresh greens and a subtle dressing. Edamane: also fresh and salty. I ordered a seared salmon roll and was delighted by the freshness of the fish. My wife loved her salmon teriyaki, a huge portion; my chicken katsu was crisp, not greasy, and so generous. Red bean ice cream and we were done. A very clean place, well-lit, and delightfully friendly young waitstaff. Five stars, no. How about fifty?“

“I like this place a lot, but three times now they’ve asked if I wanted something, I’ve said no, and they gave it to me anyway. It wouldn’t really be an issue but I have an avocado allergy and can’t have guac. And they don’t give me a new bowl, they just scoop it out and hand it to me. I hate to be wasteful so I usually just take it home and pick out what I need to, but it would be great if maybe they turned down the music so the folks could hear a little better. It's p good though slightly above avg. not much to say about this 3/5 Al pastor taco 3.8/5 This taco was pretty good. I would definitely recommend coming here for this taco with the pineapples . Definitely our new go to salad place and so convenient!“

“Delicious/super flavorful soups and braised lamb which was SO tender! Do wish the oxtail soup came with a bit more oxtail but other than that, lunch is such a great deal. The specials also come with an assortment of little apps which was a nice way to sample a bunch of dishes the restaurant offers. I went with my family, two children, and we ordered fries and chicken nuggets (panda combo) and believe me, the chicken tasted exquisite. For us, a standard hamburger with gluten-free bread (I think it's a great option for those of us who have problems with gluten and I think it's a PLUS) my partner ordered an American hamburger and the meat looked delicious. In addition to this we ordered a milkshake that was out of this world. “The restaurant is in a low traffic area and seems to do decent with takeout. I haven't seen anyone sit down yet each time I went. Restaurant looks pretty clean and full of space. The folk working here are pretty nice. Portion sizes are either lunch or dinner size for your platters. Even the lunch size is a good size portion enough for one person. The dinner size is enough for two people. When we ordered the lunch size for gyro, we had a choice of either a salad or a soup for the first side which is separate from the gyro and there is a second side that goes along with the gyro, so you can pick one of the following fries, rice, lemon potatoes or grilled vegetables. The container is filled about 80% full with grilled pita.When we ordered the dinner size for gyro, its the same as lunch but you can pick two of the sides that go along the gyro. This is effectively filling your container all the way to the top at 100% filled with grilled pita. Recently it appears they increased this to up to three sides, but I imagine they will just reduce the portion size of each side if you pick three but would still fill the container full.The Greek salad is good and the soups we tried were also good. The gyros and chicken souvlaki were on point.“

“My husband and I use to live in Astoria, now we live in long Island. we come back to visit friends, and this is our new hang out for lunch!! We were there March 3rd, 2024. just yesterday, I always order a different burger but instead I ordered the avocado eggs benedict it was soooo good and tasty. Christmas decor was up which made it feel festive.The regular slice and supreme slice came out hot with good flavor, crust was more on the chewy side which I don’t mind. The supreme slice had an almost smoky flavor, which I enjoyed.The Greek salad was your standard Greek salad with olives and feta cheese, along with tomatoes, cucumbers, and red onion, in some mixed greens; overall good.We really enjoyed the wings. The meat was juicy, though there were only 3 small flats, the rest were pretty big drumettes.
