“Very accommodating!! We were on vacation and showed up at 1:30 and they close at 2:00. We asked if we could come in for lunch and they greeted us warmly. Service and food were very good. Thank you!!!”
“Beautiful grounds, lovely little store and we walked through the church (no pictures allowed) but it was breathtaking! Left with some flavors you can't usually find in stores :) beautiful drive during the fall months too!”
“We celebrated my husband’s 90th birthday with our friends, had a great experience. The food, atmosphere, was excellent, our server Britney was outstanding. Thank you for making our evening so special.”
“We loved this little coffee shop! We stopped here on our way to see the solar eclipse. We ordered 6 different food items and drinks and everything was super yummy!! Highly recommend “2 egg Sammie” with bacon! ??The coffee was outstanding. The employees were very warm and friendly. 5 stars all around!”
“Delicious homemade ice cream and very friendly service. Definitely worth the drive to stock up on the ice cream. I usually stock up on a pint of orange creamsicle, but the lemon berry delight is delicious too!”
“Hands down the best mozzarella sticks we’ve ever had. We both got clubs and they were fabulous as well, lots of meat. I’m not much for their homemade potato chips though but to each their own??♀️. Overall this place is CLEAN, the staff is fast and friendly, and the food is great.”
“Great, friendly service, including other patrons being friendly! Food has gone home cooked vibe including a wide range of choices for all meals and eaters. The atmosphere is a bit outdated but every corner is clean. This is a great local spot to stop for a hearty meal or light snack while you plan your busy day visiting the rich history of Avon or choosing your one of many local nature attractions. Try to make at the Avon Historian next door to the left. Everytime I visit I enjoy myself and learn a little more from the very engaging Historian!Kid-friendliness: Great family atmosphere for all ages!”
“This place is a local legend. I had the occasion to try it finally and I can see why. Friendly service, generous portions, reasonable wait time. I ordered a steak sub that was prepared just right - fixings were perfect, steak well-seasoned and juicy. Luckily they had an open table where I could hang out and enjoy my edible work of art! I thought the office was also on par and reasonable as well. I'll be back for sure.”
“I don't know how it is now, as I've moved out of the state, but I loved this place back when it was Zamburger and before that, Bob's Dugout. Great ice cream. Can't really give a review regarding Regal Hots, though. Hopefully it's as good.”
“Exactly what a small town bakery should be! The owners are passionate about their business and that says it all! All of the employees are warm and friendly the baked good are AMAZING..the coffee is always fresh and delicious and they even have bubble tea with real tapioca pearls!”
“This restaurant has the best food I've ever had! The pasta is homemade and delicious! The shrimp alfredo is absolutely the best I've ever had! Everything is homemade from the pasta, bread and the salad dressing. The portions are generous and the prices are really good. Definitely a must try if you like fresh homemade pasta. The servers are quick, friendly and on top of the orders. Worth the money and drive!Vegetarian options: The chef will accommodate! If you're not vegan, try the Alfredo sauce! You will not taste anything close to this one!Parking: Easy street parking”
“Great old style hamburger joint. Full of color and positive energy. Food menu was full of choices to satisfy every tastebud. The original and walhburger are still my favorites. Before you go make sure to check out the great coupon offers (simple Google search) you will happy at what you find. The meat sauce has its own special taste, not too hot and not too sweet, just the perfect blend of flavor to add to your burger or dip your fries into.”
“We love going to Strange Design and sitting at the bar. There is great artwork to look at all over and so many great beers to choose from. Had the chicken sandwich tonight and it was delicious! And Adam is always so friendly. We look forward to seeing him when we go.”
“Made a quick pit stop here, and was pleasantly surprised with how cute this shop was!!! Love all the candy selections. Tea was perfect. The little truffle chocolates hit the spot. And Wendy is awesome!!!! Thank you ❤️”
“Desperate for real espresso drinks in the middle of a looong drive, we took a short detour and enjoyed the friendly service, delicious house baked banana bread, and charming atmosphere of the converted train depot. Worth the visit!”
“Came in for the first time after hearing good things. It didn’t disappoint. Food quality and service are what you would hope for from a local sub shop/deli but don’t always get. Seeing Boershead in the case is always a good sign. The staff really cares about serving food that you love. We’ll go again, often.”
“A must stop if you are in the area. Interior was bright and welcoming. Scott and Joan took the time to talk to everyone. Mary Ann was so friendly and gracious. The tasting was generous in compare to others. The chicken bacon wrap was delicious. Will definitely be going back. Looking to forward to sitting out by the fire next to the pond. Please don’t get rid of the Holiday wine!!”
“This a great place at anytime or day, summer winter doesn't matter is so fun and great food. Love the outside bar and love that the owner brings in great live bands. Must stop!!!!”
“This experience was the best especially when I mentioned it was going to be a surprise for my fiancee birthday. He was so surprised. I had an idea and she ran with it did a great job doing so. I would definitely use her ”
“Very nice on main street bartender/server with blonde hair was fabulous! The corned beef in the ruban could have been better without grilling the meat ? but we will be back as we just bought property on the area!”
“We have been looking for a really good fish fry in the area since the last place we used to go to closed. We finally found it at the Village Tavern. The fish fry was great!!!!”
“We stopped at Puppy’s on our way through town because we thought they might be dog-friendly— we were right. It may not be an official policy, but the staff was very accommodating getting us set up outside with our pup. Great food, better people. So glad we visited!”
“My nephew who goes to Geneseo took me here for a slice. The pizza was solid. Thin crust with decent sauce. The place looks like an old NYC pizza place with brick walls and high ceilings and darkly lit. The staff were college age kids. The only reason I give the service 3 stars is we ordered three pepperoni one cheese and they gave us three cheese one pepperoni. Wasn't a big deal but I really wanted to try both cheese and pepperoni. Next time I go I will get the pepperoni. Bathroom was clean and the atmosphere of the place was chill. Overall definitely recommend if you like thin crust David Portnoy style pizza.”
“Amazing gluten free options for a celiac!! The owner is super knowledge and friendly and knows what's safe. She explains anything you ask in a very detailed manor. I asked if stuff had oats and she said yes but she gets them shipped from Canada because those specific oats she uses is guaranteed to not be cross contaminated. She makes everything herself and wants to give an amazing option for us celiacs.”
“My husband and I are soooo glad we stopped here. Tripadvisor reviews showed this place has great service; and they were not wrong. Great service, with personable staff - which makes a place all worth it! The food was really good as well. I do recommend the burgers (as mine was cooked perfectly to my liking). Overall, I'm thrilled with this little pub and would stop here again and again were I in the area. And really, chat up the hosts...such great ppl!”
“Soup AND Salad WITH Bread, in addition to your meal ... in one word, YUM! Upon entry, we felt like we were stepping into a different dimension and simpler times. Candlelit tables and dim sconces on the walls provided a warm, inviting vibe. Surprisingly, the server who greeted us knew us by name and warmly welcomed us to the National Hotel. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and had a great sense of humor. The meal was coursed out perfectly and we enjoyed every bite. Stuffed mushrooms to start were piping hot and flavorful in a ramekin of butter. The hottest thing in Cuylerville was the freshly baked bread-in-a-bag! Perfect to get every morsel of mushroom soup out of our bowls. Usually you have to choose between soup OR salad, not here! We got a fresh greens garden salad following the soup! Our main entrées of steak were perfectly cooked to temp and tasted great with the red wine. The mashed potatoes were fluffy, flavorful and satisfying. Peanut butter and chocolate pie brought our experience to a close. To wrap up the evening, we got to thank the chef and her husband for an amazing dining experience. This is one of a kind gem and we look forward to our next visit. Bring a loved one, go for a special date night or just stop in to treat yourself. You will not be disappointed.”
“Jeanette is the best bartender. She is very knowledgeable about beers, makes recommendations, gives you samples to try. He has a pleasant, attractive personality. I ordered the 40,000 acres which is a very hoopy beer. It has body, hints of fruit, at least that's what I perceived. Lots of body, lots of vibrant notes. I liked the place. Ample street parking. They have a menu to order from other restaurants. But they have chips and cheese stick.I loved it, it's safe and friendly.”
“sooo good!! very cheap (compared to other places) for my very large bowl of yogurt. employee was very nice when my card almost broke the reader + helped me swipe it because i am borderline incompetent. very cute decor and many options for seating. i love the music! white girl bangers! if i had to give a critique: too yummy! i am going to gain a few extra holiday pounds! happy holidays!”
“Stopped by because I was in need of coffee. Ordered Carmel Honey Cold Brewed coffee. The Barista took my mug to make the drink. She nicely said she had never made it in a travel mug and was wondering if she made it right. I tasted it . Wow!!! She did a fantastic job. Very friendly, pleasant atmosphere. I can't wait to go back and enjoy something else.”
