“We have only eaten here a handful of times but each time the food is fresh for both dine in & take our. I love the 20% off when you order on-line. The staff is very friendly and accommodating allowing my daughter to customize her bento box. Tonight we took out & I left my phone on the bar. The staff held it for me in the register until I returned to get it. They definitely won me as their customer!“
“This location has a special place in my heart. 1988, I just came back from being stationed overseas and my girl friend (now my wife) says lets have Falafel for lunch. What's Falafel? Back then, the restaurant was called The Promised Land and it was the first time I took a bite of Falafel. Now, I was hooked! Strange that I never had nor heard of Falafel growing up in Brooklyn. Working in NYC was when I saw the different Falafel styles and was introduced to Einat Admonys version at Taim. I was a total fan of her Falafel. And to me, she gets points because she served in the IDF as well as being in Season 3 of Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions? Shabbat Shalom sister with a fist bump. Which takes me to 2024, Taim Mediterranean Kitchen in Plainview. Walking in just floods me with so many memories. The counterperson says if I join the Taim rewards I can save on my first order so download the app. 1988 doesn't have anything on 2024! Once I downloaded the app, I ordered something simple, The O.G. Falafel Pita made with Harissa (for a little kick) I sit down to a nice, clean location. Brightly colored tables and a jug with some delicious looking lemonade. (Too sugary for me in 2024) My meal is ready. I like the fact that there is both Hummus and Tahini sauce inside the pita. It was a nice sandwich, the pita texture to me was a little off. It was too thick compared to what I'm used to at other falafel joints. Just for a moment, I had lunch back in time. Them I checked my app for the meal credit, I jumped in my Electric Car and headed home. Chicken Shawarma is calling me, I'll be back. (80s reference)“
“Neal and Michael went out of their way to accommodate us! The bagels were top notch and the guys were professional, friendly and take pride in their business. They honestly treat you like they would want to be treated, and that means a lot. Looking forward to seeing them again! Thank you!!“
“The food? Excellent. The service? Not so excellent. We came here after walking by a few times. This spot used to be La Bottega (and also why I have a review from 2012 still on this page) and was recently converted into a full restaurant with a menu full of delicious Italian food. The setup is a bit odd as they took over the restaurant next door and therefore there are two doors (but only one entrance) with one side being the bar and the other being the restaurant. They have live music on Fridays and Saturdays but because of the split between the two spaces it's difficult to hear the music on the restaurant side. The hostess was able to seat us quickly even with it being packed on a Saturday night. I had heard their old fashioned was good so we started with that and yep, it's delicious...And strong! For an app we tried the octopus salad which was chopped octopus over greens, tomato, and red bell peppers. Very very good. For my entree I tried the red snapper which melts in your mouth. So good! Food and drinks were great! But out waiter disappeared on us after our entrees came out. Not once did he check if everything was good or if we needed anything. Never brought us water. Never brought us a refill on drinks. How did we get water and a refill? Asked a busboy and later on the hostess. Our waiter looked frazzled yet the other waiter was zipping around without issue and was handling the same amount of tables as our waiter. Very, very disappointing. Even when we wanted our check our waiter was nowhere to be found yet again! And the checks are presented to you on a tablet! I will most definitely come back for food, no question. I just need to mentally prepare to wait 45 minutes for a check since service here is not good.“
“As a vegetarian I can tell you this place is very good. They never mistaken my impossible burger for a real burger, which has happened to me many times with other burger places.Just one complaint...too much salt!! I learned my lesson and now I tell them low salt on everything. Way too salty..and I'm not one to complain about salt but this place will have your lips burning from all the salt.“
“How have I NEVER been to SoBol before?! I was inspired to go get a bowl by a friend that has posted about her snack so I literally hopped in my car and zipped over to the Plainview location. What a gorgeous place! It was so clean and spacious! I was planning to carry out but I absolutely plan to come back to sit & eat. The young girl behind the counter was SO kind and helpful. I got the kids size spirulina bowl and oh my gosh WOW. It was SO flavorful. The fruit was really delicious & there was no fishy flavor that spirulina sometimes has! One bummer was that I asked for chocolate chips to be added & she forgot to add them but it was still a 10/10 so it didn't impact my enjoyment or eating!“
“This is an amazing place to eat lunch or dinner! Everyone is very kind and respectful. They have great service and everyone is always smiling! I come here all the time with family and friends and they all love it! I highly recommend everyone to come here! Absolutely amazing?“
