“I cannot say enough about the wonderful people at NBC Poughkeepsie!!! I live 2.5 hours away and needed to order a cake for my daughter's birthday to be delivered to her at school. I called NBC and was lucky enough to have Max pick up the phone. We were on the phone for over 1 hour!!! He was soooo patient with all my questions and changes and crazy tangents -that by the end of the call not only did my daughter end up getting perhaps the best and most beautiful Birthday cake she has ever received, but I no joke wanted to adopt Max!!!! I am a super critical, detail oriented person and I was blown away by just how insanely nice these people were and how much they went out of their way to share with you - and in this case my daughter - their delicious cakes. Honestly, remembering this experience, all I can say is that everyone who owns a store of any kind, should call Max so he can teach you what excellent customer service looks like - and then you should enjoy some of their cake :)“

“Have been coming here regularly for pretty much since they’ve been open. I have tried pretty much every breakfast sandwich in the Hudson valley and hazel rose takes the cake. Their brioche buns are fantastic. All of their breakfast items are amazing. They make delicious cheesecakes as well. Definitely best little spot in the area.“

The store is very unique layout and it makes me wonder how it would look in the summer. The food and drink was very solid. They really know how to bake. “Well, for starters I will apologize for not posting photos. I was with a hungry crowd at peek lunchtime on a Sunday. I am not from the area and spent the morning taking grandchild to Trevor Zoo, it was a 1hour 25 minute trip and I will return sans grandchild and zoo to enjoy this wonderful place. Heirloom tomato, turkey BLT, Brie with turkey sandwiches were otherworldly and the 3 year old practically inhaled his BBQ chicken quesadilla! “I brought my daughter for one of Jenay's baking classes. We made a gingerbread house. Jenay was great with all the kids and her "little helpers" assisted the smaller kids and helped us all during the process. Every child in attendance had multiple chances to participate and everything was well-organized. They plan to open their café next month (Jan 2023) offering coffees, teas, sandwiches and pastries, of course. Jenay is using the space to provide baking classes for kids AND adults, including an upcoming Black Panther cake class for the kiddos and a Cake & Sip Beyoncé-themed cake class for the adults. She provides snacks, bevvies and entertainment for the events and it's a very cute set up. Currently, she is also operating as an online bakery so you're able to order her tasty creations and pick up in person. Definitely look out for her upcoming NYC-style brunches with bottomless mimosas, music and brekkie!“

“Fresh baked delicious sweet breads. I'm so glad I stopped in .. the selection of treats is almost overwhelming, but I managed to pick 3 and was not disappointed by any of them. The sweetness is just right, but the flaky pastry and breads are truly artful. You should stop next time you go by - park in Dollar General if you don't want to park on the street, but there aren't any parking meters here, so either way the parking is free. I highly recommend getting your next fresh baked treat from Gisselle's!“

“Hidden gem of a restaurant with old school Italian, Pizza and Portuguese food. Everything is made fresh to order. On site bakery with delicious pastries (make sure you call ahead for something specific). I'll definitely be back to dine in person. The owners are very nice people.“

“I am so sad it took me this long to find Dolce... Growing up in hopewell I aways thought we needed a good bakery, well we definitely have one! Dolce has the best cannolis I have ever had! Cream is amazing, and they offer so many options... big, small, chocolate dipped, sprinkles etc. They are now my go-to for party desserts. The owner is super friendly as well, and is a pleasure to deal with! Cannot wait for my next visit.“

“I fail to understand all the bad reviews. I have always had excellent service and products from them. The brownies are moist and delicious. The only time that I experienced an issue was due to mail service. For some reason, they routed the package to the wrong mail distribution center and it took three weeks to get it. The postage is a little pricey, but they send it two day delivery, which is not cheap. Keep in mind that Ruth's Brownie Kitchen is a small bakery and does not have the flexibility to offer free shipping. Groupon offsets this. Kevin, the manager, has always answered my emails within 24 hours (unless it was sent on a holiday). Ordering by Groupon is easy. You use their link to the website, enter the Groupon code and submit. If you purchase a Groupon and forget to enter the code (or any other mishap), email Kevin and he will take care of it. I have ordered the fudgy Chocolate Covered Cherry, Peanut Butter, Walnut and Extra Fudgy and have been very satisfied with each order.“
