“I love this pizza! Finally, a place that makes the perfect crust! It's thin and crispy just enough and the crust is chewy on the inside. I had a slice of chicken bacon ranch that was so loaded, I ate half for lunch and the other half for dinner. I'm so happy that I found a really good pizza place so close to me! I'll have to try other stuff on the menu. And the employees (hi Cade!) are really nice too!“
“Restaurant is modern farmhouse vibes. Very nice and comfortable. Food was amazingggg. Crispy rice salmon app was fantastic. Black truffle pizza was fantastic as well! Deserts were light for what they sound and look, which was very nice to finish off the meal.“
“Love the pizza here - more a NY style, always reliable and tasty. Margarita is especially good, loaded with basil. A good local family business worth supporting. (Ignore the couple of one star reviews, which appear to have been left by grumps who just serially leave one star reviews.)“
“I started going to Amore a couple years ago. When we parked it looked very quaint , We walked in and it was like stepping into little Italy the staff will go up and above to make u meal fantastic. There us a area to sit outside when its warm and its so nice in doing so I would recommend it. My family has also spent many holidays here and the atmosphere and food is amazing as always but u need not just go for a Holiday any day is fantastic at Amore. Now the main reason for going here is the food is out of this world just like my nana and mom cooked and how I do so. As in the name Amore we love u food and reservations are highly recommended ??“
“Great food and even better people! I placed an order after hours late on a Sunday night through Uber Eats. They called to tell me it was a mistake and they stopped delivering already, but when I explained that it was for my kids and we didn't have other options because we were heading home from the airport, they graciously agreed to make the food and deliver it to us! Thanks again!“
“Love a Greek pizza spot! Truly some of the nicest and friendliest staff ever! Pizza was ehhh but the experience made up for it for sure. I had a personal ziti pizza. The person I was with had a personal pizza with chicken and gyro. We shared the cheesy garlic bread which was very good (ask for a side of sauce to go with)“
“Food and service were great. Place was very busy on a Saturday night. Plenty of parking. We had calamari, burrata, and meatballs for appetizers; linguini, veal, chicken and gnocchi main course. Food was delicious. I will recommend going. At times, it got very noisy.“
“My wife and I stopped here in Oct 2021 on our way up to Connecticut after a 5 hour flight from Las Vegas to JFK and battling NYC traffic after getting the rental car. After a full day of traveling, she and I were both exhausted and hungry. The restaurant itself and the pizza were absolutely awesome. I only gave service 3 stars because they wouldn’t let my wife use the restroom. I can’t remember why. Overall, I’d come back. The pizza and the staff were both awesome. Nice little pitstop of you’re driving from JFK to CT“
“This place has the best food ive ever had from a deli. The staff is super friendly and kind, and the food is just too good. I got their chicken cutlet special and i was amazed. The pizza is top tier italian pizza. Just amazing. If you live in stamford or ever pass by, i highly suggest you go check it out.“
“We go to Il Forno for the best Happy Hour- 1/2 price appetizers and $5 beer on tap and $7 wine- there are also specially priced cocktails. They have the best calamari, delicious greeens and beans, broccoli raab and polenta, tuna, meatballs with ricotta and more. And we got to sample their delicious pizza too.So perfect for dinner or apperitivo!Rick and Susan are great hosts! It’s a wonderful dining experience“
“Hands down the BEST pizzeria in Stamford whether it’s dine in, order or take out. They are beyond kind to my little kids. The food is amazing. The friendliest, cleanest and yummiest in stamford and there are a ton of pizzerias in stamford. Totally a family favorite.“
“We Came for our daughter's post-wedding Luncheon as a party of 6. Everybody absolutely loved the entire experience. One of our party even held a business lunch here less than a week later! The gluten free modifications were amazing. Can't wait to go back myself.“
“It's a great Sicilian slice just different than it used to be not as thick as before but still a great crust pomodoro sauce and nicely cheesed. Has a true Brooklyn sauce taste as it always has. What surprised me is the crust is now thinner square than typical Sicilian but has the chew and bottom of a Brooklyn Sicilian slice.Rivals Glenville Pizzeria for best Sicilian.“
“Oh, Napoletana! I've been there a few times and I have to say, it's absolutely amazing! The food is incredibly delicious, and the flavors are so authentic. Every dish I've tried has been a burst of flavor in my mouth. ??Not only is the food top-notch, but the service is also exceptional. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. They make you feel welcomed and ensure that you have a great dining experience. One thing I really appreciate about Napoletana is how clean and well-maintained the place is. It's evident that they take pride in their establishment and pay attention to every detail. It creates a pleasant and inviting atmosphere for guests. If you're looking for a restaurant with great food, delicious flavors, friendly service, and a clean environment, Napoletana is definitely the place to go! I highly recommend it. Enjoy your meal, Samuel! ?️?“
“I had this pizza delivered to Sky Zone for my kid's birthday party, and it was a hit with the parents! People asked where the pizza was from and loved it. We particularly liked the chicken bacon ranch and BBQ chicken pizzas. The guy on the phone was super nice when I called in a huge order, and the delivery guy was nice, too. I'll be back!“
“After eating here a few times for dinner and or lunch we decided it was a great place to do our office holiday party. I had noticed they have a private room with large glass doors and inquired about booking it. They got back to me really quick with a better deal than anything else local we could find, meal options, etc. But honestly we would have paid more. They printed us out menus for our event. They lined up two tables for dining and have the extra tables for a white elephant gift exchange. We chose to have appetizers served family style (nanas bread with cheese sauce and marinara, crispy meatballs ( these were so good!) tomato and mozz salad and calamari) there were a few plates of each dish placed and timed so we weren’t overwhelmed . Then we had four options- chicken piccata, halibut, pasta ragu and a vegetarian option. After this came out we did our gift swap and then had coffee accompanied by tiramisu and a lemon crostata dessert. This didn’t feel like a under thought buffet style party. It came out in courses- we had plenty of time to enjoy each other outside of our office. We didn’t feel rushed. The wait staff was so on top of everything. No one had to ask for refills etc. Multiple managers came in to check on us periodically ( and the owners brother) and they packed up whatever we didn’t eat. We actually took all the desserts back to the office. All in all I would 10000 percent suggest this for anyone looking for a party location. While we enjoyed it for a large office plus spouses Christmas party, it was spacious enough that I could see rehearsal dinners, retirement parties graduations etc. Everyone left happy! We’ll be booking it again in the future.“
“Wow, so delicious. Packed on a Saturday night, and it's not just because of the ambiance. The food was quick and delicious. I had the bucatini with zucchini and it was so special; savory and rich without feeling heavy. The cocktail list is small but the tequila mule was pretty good. We ordered a ton of food - three appetizers, two mains, two desserts, a cocktail, sparkling water and one soda and the bill came to just under $200 which felt really reasonable. My jeans feel tight and that is fine for me because it was worth every calorie.“
“I absolutely LOVE coming here. First of all- I am a born and raised New Yorker and finding Pizza by the slice comparable to what I have grown up on is impossible. THIS PLACE GETS IT! I come for pizza slices during my lunch break and have also come for dinner trying their variety of pasta. I have yet to be disappointed. The chicken Scarpariello is my favvvv. 10/10. The customer service is always personable and that’s so important.“
“True pizza spot in Stamford flavorful slices gourmet slices are $5. White slice is very tasty. Crust is light flaky airy crisp with a good char and more flavor than Slice. Overall place continues to impress. Have done vodka chicken Parm hero / wedge before and didn't disappoint.“
“This is my family’s new favorite Italian restaurant! We don’t live in Ridgefield but whether it’s dine in or take out, Venice is always worth the drive. Their Sicilian pizza is the best in CT!! I would also recommend trying their grilled NY strip steak, fried calamari or the stuffed mushrooms which are all delicious. My wife is obsessed with their hot antipasto which I don’t blame her. So if you’re looking for a good spot to eat, check them out. You won’t regret it!“
“Just had the most magical dinner. We sat on the patio - had incredible cavatelli and broccoli, eggplant and baked penne. Iced cold dogfish beer. Chocolate cake to bring home. The owner is so sweet, always brings a fun energy to the evening. (We had a great convo about the nuance and patience involved in making carbonara properly.) View of the moon, no bugs, homemade bread with the salads. Summer evenings don't get any better.“
“Definitely my new favorite pizza shop, I was a little skeptical at first because it opened on the same block as another restaurant but they are hands down the best pizza in Katonah and they also do very well beyond just pizza, salads sandwiches and many more.“
“Joe's has the best pizza in Connecticut! I always get a small "NY Style Cheese Pizza" with Pepperoni that can easily feed two people. RéNapoli (Margherita Pizza) is a second choice fave pizza in Connecticut. I'm unsure about Connecticuters' love of Connecticut Hot Oil Pizza at Riko's, and Sally's Apizza or Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana but not my taste.“
“Very good pizza and a great crust with a distinctive New Haven char. Quite pricey for what you get though. The taste wasn't quite there for me, which is why I rate it four stars. The real attraction at Dante's are their fresh scrumptious cookies if you ask me. I'd definitely drive out of my way to buy more of those!“
“Kind family owned. Known for their eggplant Parm. Yup... Not to be missed. Did a 4 stop shop at 4 different eateries for eggplant Parm. Did dinner with friends to judge... What fun... In the end there were 2 clear winners... Genoa was one of the winners.“
“If you're a fan of quality New Haven style pizza (apizza?) RP is for you. I got the Wooster Street pizza and ordered with pepperoni and mushrooms. Well done. Great sauce and crust and naturally that's the foundation of a quality pie. The roasted mushrooms were fresh and pepperoni was generous but not overkill. Strips of fresh basil made the difference. Even in the box it smelled so amazing it made the 5 min drive home seem like an hour! Rowayton Pizza will be my standard Friday night fare.“
“Pizza crusts are phenomenal. Slightly blackened, soft, yet cooked through. Toppings are inventive and great tasting. But they're only getting 4 stars. Why? The service is slow, and poorly managed. We waited too long for our pies to arrive. Initially we were given the wrong pie and then waited another 10 minutes for the correct pies to arrive. We also noticed another table of two patrons had only one pie arrive and then they had to another 10 minutes for their second pie. Our waiter seemed to want to talk cocktails and work the bar rather than return to our table. We had to ask another waiter for the check... and then take our payment.Bad night? I'm not so sure. On a prior visit for take-out, my phoned-in order still wasn't ready after the 45 minutes that was suggested.... And it took another 15 minutes for my pies to be cooked. They seem to have a real issue with scheduling and timing - which is difficult to understand - they have a pizza oven and they're making pizza, they're not stabilizing the Leaning Tower of Pisa.I'm torn. Pies are great, but the waiting, er, grates.“
“Not your typical Sicilian more roman style than Sicilian yet very tasty. Have been on a quest for the best Sicilian in the area and while this one had nice char, crispy crust and a robust sauce its more of a square roman pie than a Sicilian. Have nothing bad to say about Chicky's as they put out some of the better pizzas and sandwiches in Stamford. Will return for their fantastic sandwiches and overall this was a good pie just haven't found the holy grail of Sicilian pies yet.....“
“We ate an early dinner here and between the four of us we had a number of different dishes. I had the gnocchi in marinara sauce which was very good. We also had the pasta primavera, equally good. We started with fried calamari while good was not as good as I have had in other places.Parking: It's in a strip mall with lots of parking.“
“Was looking for a pizza place in town that had wood fire pizza ovens with thicker crust. This place is awesome! The pizza was delicious, we had the mushroom pizza (New England) I think? And then we had the fried calamari and the crispy cauliflower, which was my favorite! It's not a huge restaurant though, it's smaller but they do have a patio as well. The service was friendly and quick. We will definitely come back again when we are in town!“
“I have been going to Fortina since they first opened in 2013. Fortina and Decicco's, both located in Armonk Square, were a shot in the arm to downtown Armonk at the time and they both have become institutions in town. Fortina strikes a perfect balance of modern takes on italian food while offering an authentic experience with excellent homemade pastas, wood-fired pizzas, and other "wood-fired" offerings coming out of their ovens. Their menu has few blind spots as everything I have had has always been delicious. I always look forward to new seasonal additions and tweaks over the years. On our most recent trip, we tried their wood-fired wings for the first time. They came out piping hot and juicy. The calabrian chili and maple sauce was delicious paired with the green goddess dressing. For an entree, I had the gnocchi (which I had previously via takeout, and I knew I had to try fresh in the restaurant next time I went). The pan seared gnocchi has a thick, almost creamy pistachio pesto drizzled with brown butter and cheese - it was fantastic. Inside Fortina has a great vibe with a rustic but modern feel of the wood covered walls adorned with eccentric art including a portrait of Bill Murray from the life aquatic which has been there since opening. Service is friendly and relaxed. Fortina is always a great choice for some of the best pizza and pasta in the County as well as an excellent weekend brunch.“
“Just finished a plain cheese slice. About the best I've ever had. Flavors of the yeast dough are incredible; very delicate hints of sweetness, yeast, salt and flour. Proper tender and fluffy characteristics of an excellent twice risen yeast dough. The tomato sauce has just the right acidity and slight sweetness to make it one of the best I've ever had. Consistency is homogenous, not watery or lumpy.Cheese is I would guess is whole milk Mozzarella, texture is smooth and buttery soft; so many places today the cheese is all wrong, oily, too salty, tough texture, poor or no flavor, completely unrewarding, like eating a cheese lookalike product. The dinners I've had here are also top quality ingredients, and are excellently prepared, always delicious. High cost and quality ingredients make this a great place to eat. Cheap gut filler this is not! Many thanks to the owner for making food I look forward to eating.“
“My kids practically grew up on this pizza. It's definitely good pizza, and everything about this place is nice. The location is ideal in the heart of Armonk. Street parking is easy and free. The people who work there are very friendly and get to know their regular clients. The service is fast, and the prices are good. What more could we want in a casual neighborhood pizza place?“
“A very homey and charming place to grab food with family or close friends. For apps I recommend the calamari and bruschetta. As a main dish the Snapper w/ mashed potatoes was also really great, but next time would try a pasta dish. Overall great service and super friendly waiters!“
“Outstanding! The cutest pizza and ice-cream place I’ve ever been to. The food was amazing and the staff went so far out of their way to help us celebrate my son’s birthday! Highly recommend showing your support and checking it out!! 10/10!!“
“Wanting pizza on a Friday night, Sorrento’s came highly recommended. Service was great and we were seated right away. Fresh bread and butter was delivered complimentary to the table. Our group got the Brooklyn Pizza and I ordered a personal pizza with pepperoni, sausage, onions and peppers. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. Great prices! Parking lot available.“
“Good service. Delicious Cheese Burger and Fries @ 3pm Jan 31st. Ordered coffee and waitress made sure to make a fresh pot !It's a good place. Haven't been in a while, but will return for a Breakfast.Parking: Easy parking, Easy restaurant access.“
“Can never say enough about Ridgeway Pizza. Their food is always awesome and their staff goes above and beyond to make sure you're happy. We love to give shout-outs to you guys on What's on the Menu?! Thanks for all the years of keeping us deep in pepperoni! :)“
“Very nice deli. Stopped in on our way to Pennsylvania. Staff couldn't have been any nicer. Boars head cold cuts too. We ordered one sandwich to share and counter guy went above and beyond by cutting hero in half and asking us what type of dressing we wanted on each half and even wrapped them separately. Place was clean and prices were reasonable. Nice selection of prepared foods as well. Would definitely stop back if in the area.“
“Great Place where I get my Chicken Wings. Owners will go out of their way if you want something customized. I am able to get custom orders here like Sautéed Vegetables and Oil, Plain Wings, Sausage and Grilled Chicken which I greatly appreciate.Service is quick and the owners (two brothers) remember and respect their loyal customers.Thank You....“
“I’ve lived in New Canaan for 20 years, and have tried just about every pizza place in New Canaan, Darien, Wilton and Stamford. This is the best pizza: thickness of crust, toppings, freshness, friendliness of staff, ease of ordering, accuracy of orders, location, variety of menu items, and just overall experience.Nick and his team run a next level small business. Thank you“
“Hit up Riko's for the first time, though my friends are already regulars. Service was top-tier, thanks to Jeff behind the bar. We tried something unique—salad served right on pizza dough, a hit in my book. But the real game-changer was the classic hot oil pizza. Now I see why this new spot is quickly gaining a loyal following. I'm definitely on board.“
“EVERYTHING IS AMAZING!! Very friendly owner and employees. Also, the food was great! I ordered a Philly cheesesteak wrap, delicious. A good balance of everything! Highly recommend this place!Parking: Two sets of parking, one in the back (mostly for employees or if you’re picking up), and the biggest one in the front for costumers.Kid-friendliness: Perfect for a family meal! They have kids cups, crayons of many colors, and they have pink lemonade! The kiddos I know love pink lemonade. The employees are also very friendly to the children.“
“An amazing restaurant to eat in at, good food and nice view of downtown and their pizzas are phenomenal, for some reason their fries are always either amazing or very lackluster but when they are amazing they are amazing, they have a good beverage selection but I feel that the restaurant could use a trim up.“
“Eddies is a competitively valued option in the area. Their garden salad pizza is a choice option for vegans. Their salads are decent too.I don’t like seeing veal on the menu. Seems a bit old fashion this way.The staff is friendly and courteous. I keep coming back. The bottomline is that most peoplr will enjoy this spot.Vegetarian options: Veal on the menu is a turn off. The garden salad pizza and salad are vegan options.“
“I’ve eaten here many times, and while I like the pizza, I don’t love it, but It’s convenient and close to home! However, I bought dough the other night for homemade pizza frites, and the dough was excellent; tasteful and super pliable!“
“We had a Thanksgiving dinner at our son's house in New Canaan. We ordered the turkey and trimmings from Silvermine, as we had taken our grandkids there for lunch, and we're happy with the wraps and pancakes. The turkey, 18 pounds, was the absolute best turkey that any of us had ever had. It was moist, and truly delicious. The stuffing was perfect, as well, and every one of us had seconds or thirds!!! Thank you, Silvermine, for the very best Thanksgiving dinner!!!“
“The service as well as the food was impeccable, so hats off to a fantastic staff and chef. We started with a simple appetizer (Calamari) followed by some delicious entrees which included vegan options. Everyone was friendly and very responsive.“
