FIFTY BAY Reviews
Temporarily closed for renovation
Don’t know what happened but place is CLOSED. There’s a written sign in Chinese (should’ve taken a photo) but I don’t know what it says. Such a shame as this is my go-to for dim sum in the neighborhood. Service is very good, as is the food. Hope they open again soon!
This is one of my favorite Cantonese restaurants and a place my family returns to often. The food is consistently good, the portions are generous, and it's an excellent spot for family gatherings. Growing up, my family would often go to Manhattan's Chinatown for meals like this, so it's wonderful to have a place in Flushing that offers the same kind of experience. Restaurants like this are becoming harder to find, which makes it all the more special.
FIFTY BAY is a Chinese restaurant known for its classic dishes and kind service. Despite some issues with space and table arrangements, the staff is attentive, especially towards regular customers. The Dim Sum lunch offers a mix of good and cold dishes, and the restaurant has a lively atmosphere due to its small size. The crab is highly recommended, and it is a convenient spot for those looking for quality Cantonese food nearby. While the restaurant is bright and nice compared to others, service can be inconsistent, and there have been moments like ceiling leaks that affected the experience. Making reservations is advised during busy dinner hours. Overall, FIFTY BAY is a reliable choice for Chinese cuisine with some room for improvement.
