While there are an array of different food carts in the Morningside Area ranging from Greek to Chinese to Mexican, Hooda is probably one of about three halal carts in the area and is probably the best of those three. Omg probably the best halal in Astoria and surprisingly the cheapest. The man was very cordial and made my order really quick. Really generous portions as you can see. And the taste can’t be beat.

I eat here at least twice a week! This man runs a fine cart: the food is always plentiful, FRESH, filling, affordable, and served with a smiles and welcomes. Lamb over rice, chicken over rice, falafel, and even the chicken tenders are all soo sooooo tasty. They don’t serve on Sundays but any other day of the week you’ll see them parked in front of food emporium.
