“My friend introduced me to this sweet Polish deli off the M train stop. I always get pierogis which are well priced and the people who work there are so sweet and friendly. They have a lot of stuff in there and my favorite pierogis are the potato and cheese and veggie pierogis, they’re good and very full (no skimping with the filling). Will always come back here and eventually try the hot bar which seems to be really popular- and there is seating in the back!“
“For years I've been in incredibly jealous of all the wonderful Polish options in Brooklyn, so much so that when I learned the infamous Krolewskie Jadlo (#1) opened up in Ridgewood, I just had to go. It wasn't exactly the same animal as it's Greenpoint counterpart, but I still enjoyed it all the same. Fast forward 10 years, this Ridgewood location has closed and I mourn as always. The Ridgewood location was extremely similar decor wise, with this old rustic charm and was friendly for all walks of life, including a popular bar and lots of seating for mini groups. Food wise, they held true to their "King's Feast" namesake. The food was like many Polish cuisine encounters: hearty, worthy of family style, and with plenty of variety. The meat options were plentiful and even simple things like pierogis were always fire. I especially loved the family platters, i.e. the "plate for 3" or "plate for 4" which were a mix of just about everything. It as massive as it sounds. The standouts for me were easily the beef goulash, hunter's stew, stuffed cabbage, and of course, their in house kielbasa. The service was always on point and kind to me always. Kitchen was a tad slow on their orders every time I came here, it would never shock me to wait at least 35-40 minutes for food. I make it a point to come with good company so that a good time is always had. And while they closed, there is still a happy ending. The original Brooklyn location lives on and this location is offering the same things but under a new name (#2). I hope the new spot is as enjoyable, if not better, than what it was before. ___________ (#1) They are awesome: yelp.com/biz/krolewskie-… (#2) Now Okrasa: yelp.com/biz/okrasa-quee…“

“On a rainy Saturday afternoon, I finally made my way to Relax and I only wish I had been going here sooner. This place is truly a gem. I ordered the buckwheat pirogies and the zurek soup. OMG, absolutely delicious, perfect and heartwarming. I immediately felt welcomed, like I was going to a family’s house for dinner and the food came out incredibly quick. This Polish/Hungarian American cannot wait to come back and try everything on the menu!(Also whatever that fruit juice is, LOVED IT!!)“

“Made a 2nd trip to Brooklyn during a recent vacation so my wife and daughter could get a charm necklace. Seeing all the signs in some Slavic language, I realized this was a different place in Brooklyn from the waterfront! Double-checked Pierozek was open all-day (it was 2 pm when we ate), walked a few blocks around myself and waited patiently for the necklace-makers and then enjoyed a fantastic lunch of pierogies, kielbasa and accompaniments. And beer, of course. The Murray's Cheese and Meat pierogies were delicious and lighter than you'd think. The kielbasa was fresh, large, and crisped beautifully. The Stuffed Cabbage dish was a big lunch for my wife, but we all cleaned everything off our plates. Maddy was our server and accommodating and delightful. I didn't take any foodporn photos, but their website and IG are accurate representations of the food!“

“Amazing! You’d be foolish not to try this place for Polish food. Everything is fresh every time I go there. And, I do go very often to take food out. The staff are some wonderful people. I sometimes find myself walking in to grab something (even when I don’t really need anything) just to have a laugh. Parking isn’t easy here. But, go around the block once or twice - it is worth the effort. I live nearby. So, more for me. Give these folks your business. It’s a wonderful neighborhood food shop and they deserve it.“
“Seneca Garden is a complete neighborhood gem! And I am so grateful for them! Gregory and his entire staff are always so friendly. The products they carry and their homemade food are of excellent quality, and incredibly reasonably priced. And I can’t forget to mention the pierogi are amazing as well!“

“A must try place for authentic Polish food delights in the 'Little Poland' of New York. On my recent visit to Karczma, I was greeted by the courteous staff with their lovely accents and the waitress clad in traditional attire had me seated at a quiet wooden booth, past the lively bar, all of which evoked a quaint European village vibe. As I perused the menu under the flickering candlelight that was placed over a colorful handwoven placemat, I couldn't have experienced a more homely feeling out in the city on a rainy night. With a little guidance from the waitress, it felt proper to sample the 'Plate of Polish Specialties' on my first visit. The serving was plentiful and a pleasure to taste. The Polish kielbasa and the stuffed cabbage were my favorites. The boiled pierogis were a traditional treat while the hunter's stew was flavorful and unique. There was enough food left to take home which provided the perfect opportunity to pair it with a hilarious Polish flick such as 'The Taming of the Shrewd', set in the alluring Polish countryside only to be enhanced by the colorful and beautifully embroided traditional clothing worn by the local folk. There's also a heartwarming documentary film and a Google online exhibition of a 'good maharajah' and his many young Polish guests tucked away in safety for the history buff. I would highly recommend a stop over at Karczma to satisfy your Polish food cravings or for those who are curious to get their first bite. Enjoy your meal or, as they say in Polish - Smacznego!“
“Honestly love this Polish Deli (Zabka Deli) for their chocolates. I come from the Bronx and travel to Ridgewood Queens for their chocolates w/alcohol filling. They are also nice gifts/treats for Valentine’s Day, as well as for small birthday gifts and part of a Mother’s Day gift.“

“As a huge Gossip Girl fan, you already know I had to get pierogis from Brooklyn like Dan Humphrey recommended lol. The spot is located in a very nice and cool food hall. We got the sampler plate of Pierogies to try a little bit of everything and the Meat Pierogies were definitely our favorite, very juicy and delicious.“
“Great place worth the visit. They have amazing chicken cutlet sandwiches and chicken noodle soup!! Chicken cutlet samdwich is SUPER FULL. And chicken noodle soup best in the area. Good prices for the amount of food. Also the store is led by a super cute older lady who is also the owner. Such a pleasure to have a conversation with her ❤️ love this place.“
“Honestly, I haven’t been to one polish place where the food wouldn’t be delicious. Bristol B&R definitely does not disappoint. We had a sample platter and I had a very hearty Żurek soup. The place is very comfy with a dance floor in another room with all the 80s 90s euro hits. Really nice vibe.“

“Spectacular! First time that I’ve seen this truck near me in the UES, but I hope he comes back. This is some of the best kielbasa and pierogi (I had the lite combo) I’ve had in a very long time. I’m looking forward to trying everything else on the menu.“

“Typical Polish deli with many imported items, great selection of meats and cheeses. I'm not a huge fan of their hot foods here but we have only gotten a few things a few times. The soups are great though. We mainly get a sandwich (posted a pic) which is always delicious. Also LOVE getting the dried sausages called kabanos. Our favorite place for them (in Maspeth) closed and these are good but definitely not the best. As for the reviews regarding racist owners ...I'm white so theoretically it's not going to happen to me per the reviews. I've never experienced or seen racist behavior here against others including my boyfriend who's Colombian (so Latino) and he has been going here for many years prior to introducing me to the location. Although he's not experienced it he will agree that the staff is not overly friendly like at some other polish deli's we have gone to. However, it's a deli/store so we aren't expecting the people to be anything other than helpful - which they are. PLEASE NOTE: I don't give 5 stars unless the place is exceptionally over the top as I consider 3 stars average thus 4 stars is above average in my world of reviews. Hope that's helpful in understanding my rating system.“
“Came across this place few weeks ago and had to give it a try. Honestly, the food is tasty no doubt. I tried the Potato and cheese Pierogies, chicken noodles soup and finished it off with their yummy cream puff.Other note: kudos to the staff very polite! ?“

“A little gem in our neighborhood, I have been coming here for years to pick up food for when I have no energy to make dinner/ when I have people to impress with "home cooking". The sausages are great and I would die for the potato and cheese pierogis.I was recommended to call ahead for frozen pierogis.“

“Easily the best Polish Deli in Ridgewood and New York City for steam table Polish takeout, and probably the best Polish Deli in the United States. The chicken or pork or fish cutlet are all excellent - great breading and fried perfectly. The side salads are unreal - try the beets in varying forms or the amazing carrot slaw with just the right amount of horseradish.Great pierogies too.Quite affordable as well. $9ish for a huge platter of food, heavy as all get out. You will be satisfied.“

“Pierogies are solid *french kiss*, tried special one with cheese and potato filling and dip in the special sauce on the side. I prefer the fried one! We also got the meat platter which include sausage, pierogies and staff cabbage and mushroom sauce on top . It’s quite heavy but flavorful! Potato pancakes could be crispier. Would be back to try more!“

“I had a very enjoyable lunch here. I got the sampler to go with boiled perogies and kielbasa. The Kielbasa was very flavorful, the stuffed cabbage was loaded with meat, and the perogies were so moist. The sides all had distinctly different tasts. Tart saurkraut, sweet carrots, earthy sweet beets, light cole slaw, and strong purple cabbage. Can't wait to get a perogie sampler and some borscht next time.Parking: A few metered spots.“

“They often mess up our orders both in person and in deliveries but when they do get it right, it’s amazing. I’ve had somewhat undercooked food there as well as a few foods that didn’t always taste consistent and so you weren’t sure what flavor it’ll be the day you go but overall it’s good.“

“About 5.50 per pack of 12. They take card now! Plenty of vegan and vegetarian flavors! All very good. The truffle one had a light taste of truffle, nothing overpowering, and wasn't an excuse to raise the price either as other places would so I appreciated that. The potato and cheddar and the ruskie kinda blended together in my head but I think I preferred the potato cheddar more. The jalapeño actually had a little kick and wasn't jalapeños mashed into smithereens like I had expected so that was a pleasant surprise. The spinach feta potato wasn't my favorite but I loved that the combination existed. All the fillings were very creamy and the dough, you have to be careful, because it can fall apart while boiling. I will be back to try the rest of the menu no doubt.“
