Honestly love this Polish Deli (Zabka Deli) for their chocolates. I come from the Bronx and travel to Ridgewood Queens for their chocolates w/alcohol filling. They are also nice gifts/treats for Valentine’s Day, as well as for small birthday gifts and part of a Mother’s Day gift.
I am not Polish -- I'm Asian -- and didn't realize that I liked Polish food until I came across Zabka. I went in there one day when I was hungry and got some fried fish on buckwheat with pickled carrots and yogurt cucumber, and beef stew with potatoes and beets. An enormous tray of food is less than $10 and everything I've tried there is DIVINE! Their fried fish is my favorite, their fried crepes filled with mushrooms are so dreamy, their creamy pork stew was tender and flavorful....read full review
