The hand plastered walls, the gracious bar.I love all the tiny little animals that the owner and her child have made that are nestled around the place.The wall art is great.The food is so nourishing, to both Body and Soul. I love all the cool events, rhetoric food, the Art, and the back patio is amazing.The back Garden is beautiful and peaceful. This is just one of my favorite places. “

“Lovely little gem in Kingston, some of the best food around; and undoubtedly the best ramen in the area. The ramen is some of the best I've had In my life, which is not surprising given the clear passion of the owner. This is one of the few places in Kingston me and my girlfriend frequent, the great food, service, and ambience always ensures we return.“

“Akari Sushi has exceptional customer service. Their waiters are very attentive. I come here every weekend and I would always get a special roll. The fish is always fresh. Kitchen entrees are always served hot. Try the home made hot sake when you’re here! Totally recommend this place!“

“Been getting sushi from Yasuda for years. Excellent in all regards. Quality, taste and service 10/10. We are fortunate enough to have great sushi in Kingston and this is one of the best spots to get it. I recommend getting the seaweed salad with every order. “I've eaten here soooo many times I can't believe I've never written a review... even though, I've always recommended this place to people looking to Japanese Dining.Place is small but cozy... can get pretty packed and experience can get dampened by other loud and possibly obnoxious diners but that's often beyond the control of the restaurant.Street parking can be difficult as it's on a busy corner...Food excellent, service excellent... there's really nothing more I can say. The prices have been competitive even when seemingly everything else in the world has gotten more expensive.When the tea is good you know the place will be great....“

“Absolutely delicious food and hot sake, and a huge bonus that it's close to home! The spider roll and shrimp lover's roll (mine) were fantastic! My boyfriend got the hhibachi combo with shrimp (I had a couple of bites and loved it) and scallops and the eel roll combo and said they were delicious too. The miso soup starter was tasty as well. It's a small place, it was comfortable, well lit and quiet on a Monday evening. We'll definitely be visiting again.“

“I’m gonna be honest, I thought this was a haunted house attraction. I was really excited and going to wait until October, but luckily I only had to wait until 4:30! The food came out super fast and was absolutely delicious. Sorry that I didn’t take pictures. I stuffed my face. Also because the sushi was so stuffed that it was falling apart in my visceral grip. The chicken katsu was also so good that I saved some in my teeth for later. My dog will be having some as well. We will be come back.Parking: Personally, I walked here. I’m a walker. You could say I’m a walking guy, in fact. But it is a bit difficult to find parking based on what I can see. Not that I would know from personal experience, though. “This restaurant is my favorite because of it’s sushi choices. I loove my sushi so much! ? ? Also, next time I come here, will be this Friday (Hopefully) for takeout. My family gets food from here every Friday and the sushi is awesome. I don’t know why this restaurant sometimes gets a bad rap, I think it is amazing food is tasty. Some of these people with bad reviews claim to know Asian food but they really don’t. And that food photo didn’t even look like it came from the restaurant. I hope the guy is just trolling. The service is pretty alright, I wouldn’t give it 5 stars because they rarely mess up orders. Also there’s long waiting times (15-20 minutes, I don’t know why I am being so dramatic).P.S. The atmosphere is Asian and gives me Asian cabin style vibes. It’s incredible. Love the food here!“

“We stopped here on our way back from a nearby ski resort. To be honest, the exterior looked old/run down and almost turned us away. However, we were pleasantly surprised how good the service was as well as the food. We'll definitely stop by again in the near future. I highly recommend if you're in the area.“

“Authentic! Sushi made by SushiMakio's chef with no doubts are the very best sushi i have had in the past 10 years. I was mesmerized by the famous chef , doing his art right there on the other side of the counter. I actually felt like I'm reliving "Kill Bill 2" scene when she had sushi in Japan. What else to say, we are very fortunate to have this level of expertise in town. Parking is hard to find , come early and plan ahead ! Thank you chef !For those people writing reviews here disappointed with portion vs price ratio : this is a place of food art not a fast food. If you need to stuff your bellies on a budget, your best bet is buffet or hot case in grocery store. Chef skills, selection of produce and all together decent way fo running thr place went into pricing .“

“I love this place, the food and atmosphere is amazingly awesome, so calm and beautiful. I love the artwork in the bathrooms, I think the wall of locks ? is very unique and fun! The noodle bowls are so yummy! I just wish they would add more noodles because the portions compared to liquid/meat seem off, I always buy an extra side of noodles because of this. Nonetheless, it's a great place worth the stop!Parking: Park directly right next to yum yum in front of the closed bank, there's two openings with gates“
