“I saw reviews on this place and finally decided to try it. Very happy we did. We were warmly greeted by Brenda who also became our server. She is a very pleasant and attentive person. Hubby ordered the Eggs Benedict and I ordered the Combination Breakfast with a choice of pancakes or French Toast, I went with the French Toast (great choice). We had a bit of a wait for the food, but it was well worth it. Eggs were made perfectly to our request, the French Toast was the absolute best. Hubby said the Hollandaise was "different, but good", I forgot to taste it so taking his word for it. Overall, clean, pleasant, comfortable environment with plexiglass between each booth and a bottle of hand sanitizer on each table, kudos for the safety. Limited seating for parties over 4 or 5, but they make it work comfortably. Will definitely go back and try more of the yummy sounding items on their menu. See you there!“

“**A Memorable Morning at the Café with Linda L.**The sun peeked through the lace curtains, casting a warm glow on the cozy corner booth. I settled into the cushioned seat, anticipation bubbling within me. It was a lazy Sunday morning, and I had chosen my favorite breakfast spot—the quaint little café tucked away on Elm Street.Linda L., our server, glided over with a smile that could brighten the grayest of days. Her apron was neatly tied, and her eyes sparkled as she handed me the menu. "Good morning! Ready to indulge in some breakfast magic?" she asked, her voice a melodic blend of cheerfulness.I nodded, my gaze already fixed on the page. The choices were abundant, but my heart knew exactly what it craved: the **Strawberry Stuffed French Toast**. It was legendary—a symphony of flavors that danced on the taste buds. Linda L. seemed to read my mind. "Ah, the French toast," she said, her eyes twinkling. "An excellent choice. You won't be disappointed."As she glided away, I sipped my coffee, inhaling the aroma of freshly ground beans. The café buzzed with life—the clinking of cutlery, the low hum of conversations, and the occasional laughter. Linda L. moved gracefully between tables, attending to each guest with genuine warmth. She was more than a server; she was a storyteller, weaving tales of culinary delights and shared moments. And then it arrived—the pièce de résistance. A plate adorned with golden slices of brioche, stuffed with plump strawberries and a hint of vanilla. The whipped cream atop resembled fluffy clouds, and a drizzle of maple syrup cascaded down the sides. I closed my eyes as I took the first bite—a symphony indeed. The strawberries burst with sweetness, the bread soaked in eggy goodness, and the crunch of toasted almonds added a delightful surprise.Linda L. appeared by my side, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "How's the French toast?" she asked, her pride evident. I could only nod, my mouth full, but my heart singing. It was more than a meal; it was a memory etched in syrup and crumbs. As I paid the bill, Linda L. leaned in. "Come back soon," she whispered. "We'll have more stories to share." And I knew I would return—the café, the French toast, and Linda L.—a trio of magic waiting to be savored again. So here's to Linda L., the great server who made my morning extraordinary, and to that heavenly Strawberry Stuffed French Toast—I'll forever love it.---*Bon appétit!* ??☕“
“I have been going to J & T's Cafe for many years. The food and service is always consistently good. What really takes it over the top are the freshly homade soups, which there is 6 or more varieties. Everything is prepared fresh everyday, and the best home cooked food around. The clientele that frequent this establishment are also very pleasant, which also is an indication of their satisfaction with this establishment. For those few disgruntled customers, take your frustration out on your wives or significant other. John and the crew at J & T's are aces.“
“This is my absolute favorite Cafe in Altamont now!! The food raises the bar, it was fantastic! We were very delighted with our meals! They must have a chef on board, cause the dishes were made with PERFECTION! The homemade corn beef hash was perfectly made! The eggs were made picture perfect, the chicken and waffle was not only culinary calendar picture but backed it up in taste and texture. The Chef and crew don't just do their best, they put their heart and soul into EVERY DISH THAT LEAVES THE KITCHEN! This place is a hidden gem ! I am so glad to have found this place! Can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Altamont or near by it's WORTH THE TRIP!“
“So glad I made the stop in here!! The Chai latte was made from Steeped Chai tea bags vs and the pre-mix which has a lot of sugar and the breakfast crepe was so delicious and big portion, really fresh ingredients. Don’t pass by here without stopping in. Thank you Olivia!!“
“Food was delicious, reasonable price, friendly waitress &frequent coffee stops with quick response to requests. I like the little book exchange at the door& otherwise it is a traditional diner with some modern menu choices(a flight of avacadotoast!). Recommended!“
“Went for breakfast on a very busy Sunday morning. Electricity was out due to ice and snow, so assuming that locals were there because our hotel just up yhe road was out.Food was acceptable. Cooked as ordered. Service was ok. They were filled and people waiting.Wait time was ok as I said they were very busy.Felt good value for price. Will stop again when in area.“
“We always come with a 20 top and are taken care of by Ally. She is an amazing server, never makes mistakes, the food comes out perfectly (good kitchen!) and she takes these huge trays of 7-8 entrees out by herself! Shes an all star! Give her a raise! Love this place!“
“I was attending Jury Duty and was looking for somewhere close by to eat and came upon this spot. Very cozy but busy diner, and the staff there are so friendly and attentive. You see all types of customers, from locals to professionals. I can tell it’s a staple in the community!“
