As a vegetarian, Ruggiero’s is hands down the best pizza I’ve had in upstate NY. It’s my go to every time I want pizza , and it is absolutely delicious every time I get it. Staff is friendly and very accommodating when I ask for no cheese , add mushrooms & artichokes. Me and my 15 month old crush this pizza together and laugh and smile the whole time. Thank you Ruggiero’s, I had lost hope for NY pizza till I found you.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggies to choose from

I had been to this establishment a lot before COVID and I loved the food, Not this time. We took a couple of friends with us. 2 ordered pizza, 2 ordered paninis. First off no one greeted us so we took menus and sat down. We went up to the counter where a man was chatting with someone and never acknowledged us. (It was apparent that this was just a conversation, not an order relating to food) We then realized that orders are not taken at the counter.Regarding our food. The pizza did not have any flavor (I only ate 1 piece), the paninis were not very appetizing to look at or to taste.Needless to say no one took home leftovers and we threw out a lot of expensive food. When we tried to pay, the same man was at the counter and was chatting with someone again and did not acknowledge us again, then he turned and walked away and someone else had to come up to cash us out. Not going back here.

Very disappointed with the amount of food for the price. Not at all worth the money. Think twice about using this place for any holiday gatherings, your guests will not have enough.

the people at this place are great however, i wish the food was consistent. that’s the key to retaining regulars: consistency. i should be able to get the same dish no matter what day or night i order. the quality of the food here is varied at best. sometimes their pizza dough is good, other times it doesn’t rise enough. sometimes their pasta is amazing then you order it another night and get a completely different cook who doesn’t make the sauce the same. i have given this restaurant multiple tries. i’ve had two amazing pasta dishes and two amazing pizzas, out of fifteen encounters. i’ve literally had to drain a few pasta dishes because the sauce was WATERY. forget ordering a sauce that is oil & garlic based here. in fact, just stick to their pizzas, and make sure it’s a good dough day.

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. This used to be a decent establishment that my wife and I ordered food from on an almost weekly basis. The food was always good, staff was pleasant and orders were correct. However, as of late this place has gone downhill drastically. The past 3 orders that I have placed through Mealeo have been misplaced, the staff 'forgot' to check the computer or the guy making the pizza 'forgot about' the slip of paper hanging on the shelf in front of his face. Ruggerio's flat out refused to reimburse me claiming that I needed to contact Mealeo and have them do so. I am not sure why this is Mealeo's problem? Mealeo has done their job. Ruggerio's has not! I was told to stop placing my orders through Mealeo. I am not sure why Ruggerio's is blaming Mealeo for their incompetance? One of these 3 times, I was asked if I would like a cookie or garlic knot while I waited, as if somehow over and hour of my time wasted was worth a mere $2 to Ruggerio's. What a complete joke! I asked when Joe Ruggerio would be in, so that I could speak to him. I was told 'he comes for a few hours in the morning to make bread, but you can periodically call and try to catch him'. Hmmm...perhaps this is the reason that his business has totally gone down the crapper??? I would suggest not bothering to waste your time doing business with this place, as Ruggerio's just doesn't care that they now offer disgustingly inferior service to their customers. This is totally and completely unacceptable! I know that I will definitely be searching for somewhere else to order from on a weekly basis, but I'm sure Ruggerios won't care about that either!

Stopped there on a Monday at 7:45pm for them to have us order and then to say, oh yeah sorry the cooks left and we close at 8pm. Their menu and Google says 9pm. It's getting harder and harder to support small business when this happens so frequently. Won't ever go here again.

They give you a very special customer service I haven't seen in a long time. Individually they all make sure that you have what you need before you leave, And they treat you like real customers. And I've never been here before it's my first time so I was quite surprised. The food was excellent, perfect for my taste. I would highly recommend this place.

Last evening I called and ordered a pizza, which was good, the girl that took the order was nice also. When I went in to pick up the pizza I saw they has potato salad and desserts. I used to get their potato salad because it tasted like it was made with Hellmanns, not like ones in stores. They must have someone else make it, it didn't tast the same. Make your own it is $7.99 a pound. I bought a slice of cake for $5.99, no wonder they had a lot to choose from, I hope it's fresh. It's my fault I decided to spend 14 + dollars. Prices are up everywhere for everyone, I hope they go down. I know now to think twice if I go back there.I don't know why so many stars have to be checked off, especially if just picking up and not eating in for atmosphere.Plus under which dish would you recommend just pizza is not listed. I've been satisfied with what I bought there or I wouldn't think to.Parking: Only a few cars parked. I drove by and if it wasn't for the open flaf it looked closed. Is the free parking supposed to bring more people in? Why an option? If you go there you know there is front, side and back parking spaces
