“I have been coming here for business lunches since January 2024. I have NEVER been disappointed. The owner is very nice. The bartenders (especially Kayla and Nick) are as great as they come and very friendly and attentive. The waiters are nice, although when busy, the service is kind of slower (at the tables-as expected during rush times). I have had lunch both at the bar and at a table. My go-to meal is the lamb chops which are always amazing. Perfectly cooked and served with a dipping sauce. Other dishes of note that I order repeatedly are the Korean BBQ Wings, Caramelized Onion Flatbread, Steak Sandwich, Pork Chop, and Salmon. There are a lot of other choices on the menu that I haven't even tried yet. Every client or Vendor that I have dined with here was very impressed with the food and ambiance. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to eat in the Hauppauge area. I know I'm coming back!“

“Everything was exceptional!! From the service, ambiance and food. We even had the option to sit outside. Pricey but worth the experience. The service is friendly and not stuffy. Very attentive and they know the menu.Had the aged, strip for two. It was cooked to perfection & literally melted in your mouth.“

“A hidden gem in an unlikely spot. The atmosphere was relaxing and calming. Not what I was expecting to see from the outside but once you enter you're transported to a new world. The staff was very friendly and our waitress was so kind. She was attentive, kind, and made sure we were taken care of..... But the food......" amazing". Very flavorful and mouth watering. Meatballs were a hit and the desserts are a must at the end. The drinks were made perfectly. You will be spending a little more than usual but it is so worth it.“

“There are a lot of great things about this place. For starters, the owner, Jackie, usually welcomes you at the door. On quiet evenings, she'll even ask you where you'd like to sit. If you've been there a couple of times, she may even remember which wine you ordered last visit. You can casually sit at the bar or on the leather couches and graze on cheese or meat boards while sipping on one of the many wonderful wine options served here. Jackie travels aboard to define and complement the restaurant's vast collection. If you're having dinner, the burrata appetizer and the tuna dinner are both amazing. Tables are spaced for privacy and you are never rushed. A great local option!“

“I chose this restaurant based on Yelp reviews. I reserved an outside table. Very cozy place. Excellent service. Delicious and fresh food. We ordered flavored sangria, seafood stuffing mushrooms, grilled octopus, blue point oysters and paella marinara. Everything we ordered was very good. I recommend this restaurant. “The food we got was delicious. My wife had the cauliflower crust flatbread, which was a little sweeter than she expected because of the jam on it, but still very good, and I had the fish and chips. The dunks were also very good and the ambiance was a lot of fun. We sat at the high tops in the bar which is more of the loud and a lot going on seeing...because it's a bar of course which is what we wanted that night, however there were much much quieter and low key tables in the back of the restaurant for the sit down eating experience. This one is now added to our regular list of places to go.“

“Intrigued by the signs in the windows exclaiming the benefits of kava, my friend and I strolled into the wonderful world of this non alcoholic bar. Being virgins to this root, we asked for guidance on what to order. This kava is supposed to have the relaxing, mellowing effects of say, Marijuana or even alcohol, but without the detriments that come with those. The young lady suggested a cold kava drink in a coconut cold mug with a slice of pineapple. There's a single, double or triple. She said it's suggested to start high and get the product built up in your system, then go down to single whilst in maintenence mode. We went with the double. We watched her spoon a large spoonful of what looked like, as another patron said, dirty water into our coconut cups! And garnished this dirty water with a pineapple. Bon Appétit! Well I have to say upon the first sip, I was waiting to be repulsed, but it actually didn't have much of a taste. As I got closer to the bottom of the cup, however, I got more flavor.. it was definitely a muddy, earthy flavor. I loved it I have to say. My friend was not a fan. Ha! I guess it's an acquired taste. The atmosphere was very chill. Seems an eclectic crowd. Young, old, parents, singles, white and.. well (us two) black! It was a cool decor. They have board games you can play. Seems a great place to chill alone with a book or laptop. It was dog friendly as well. I think if i lived here, I'd probably be a regular very quickly. Kudos!“

“This is a great restaurant and we have been here a number of times. We had a reservation and were a party of seven. I would strongly urge anyone coming here to make a reservation as this is a very popular restaurant. Once we were seated, the server came right over and took our drink order and went through the specials. We had appetizers, salads and then our dinner. The food was fresh, hot and delicious with very generous portions. Even the desserts were fantastic. Our water and beverage glasses were kept filled and we did not have to wait for anything. The bathrooms were spotless, which sadly, is rare. The restaurant is a bit pricey but the service, food quality, and atmosphere make it worth every penny. This is a fantastic restaurant and you will definitely enjoy it.Parking: Parking is very limited and the spots are tight.“

“I took my mom here as I wanted to take her out on a date together. My mom deserves to get out and enjoy the lovely weather we have been getting up in the Long Island area. We came to this spot (by the way it's called "American Standard"). I think the bar/restaurant change the name.This spot offers live music, we enjoyed a guitarist play during the course of our stay here.We ordered the alligator fritters as our appetizer and catfish poh boy with a burger that had all kinds of galore in it.The food was fantastic, very delicious. The alligator fritters was phenomenal. It's rare to find a bar/restaurant to offer alligator in this area as there aren't any alligators or crocodiles nearby. It was well cooked, not dry. The dish presentation was cute.The meal was very filling as the burgers came with fries or side salad. The poh boy came with the same option, but my mom ordered salad. The food portions were perfect.The spot also offers a wide selection of alcohol, including many choices of craft beer. I highly recommend coming here to have a good time. It's very causal.“

“Last night we (2 couples) went to Ruth Chris Steak House in Lake Grove, NY for dinner and had the best dinning experience we have had in awhile. It is now our favorite steak restaurant. The food is outstanding, compliments to the chief!! Also, I would like to comment on our waitress, Kim, who is terrific!!! She was so attentive to all our requests, took care of us all night. Also, the manager is a real gentleman, and he also made us feel comfortable and special. Without a doubt, this is the best steak restaurant on the Island, we have been to most of the upscale restaurants here and we rate this the best. If you want terrific food, great service, and a delightful ambiance, try this restaurant, you won't be disappointed!!!“

“Butera's in Sayville has been a family favorite for many years. Everything from the tasty appetizers such as Shrimp Scampi Limoncello and Mozzarella with Tomato, to the entrées (Marsala, Francese, Chicken, Pasta Dishes, and Specials) are great. The sauces are thick and have a ton of flavor, very delicious. Comfortable family or couples atmosphere with friendly, helpful waitstaff. Service was a bit delayed due to what it seemed like the kitchen being backed up on our last visit, but it all worked out, and we still enjoyed our meal.
