“My wife and I went out to lunch today in Locust Valley, NY. Last July, the LVI Bistro changed owners. Marcel has owned the restaurant for over 40 years. They had an excellent reputation and their food and serve was always high quality. This was our first visit since the change and we found it was quite good. We sat down in the bar room and was greeted by the new manager, Andrea. He was very nice and gave us their new menus. Everything looked great from the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts. My wife wanted something light, so she ordered a Cesar salad with grilled chicken strips. I ordered a hamburger with fries. Rita, a waitress from the previous owner, chatted with us about the change and was very positive. There is a new chef, who prepares the food and has a quick turnaround. Both our meals were delicious and were served hot. We talked with the manager and he told us they were going to decorate and renovate the formal dining, the upstairs dining area and the bar room area. We were excited that this local restaurant was getting some loving care from the new owners.We enjoyed our lunch time and enjoyed our experience at the LVI Bistro. When we asked for the check, Andrea brought a dish of tiramisu with two spoons. He told us the desserts were all homemade. It was excellent and was a great way to end our meal.This is a new LVI Bistro and they made a great first impression on both of us. If you're in the Locust Valley area please make some time and try the new LVI Bistro. The service, the food and the atmosphere is great for a meal with two or ten people. “Trying to pick a place for brunch I saw this place and was like this looks perfect! No wifi which is probably a good thing but not good for a child lol, he got over it. Our food was good. Service was good though she brought waffles out instead of pancakes for our boy, not a big deal except for our picky boy lol who was like yucky! Despite the fact he loves waffles at home, as long as they are ego waffles (lemme roll my eyes) they looked amazing here but our 5 year old did not care lol. He loved his pancakes once brought out :) such a cute place and I really wanna come back during the holidays.“
“Appetizer was a crab cake. Winner! Had the wood grilled shrimp and grits. WONDERFUL! My lady had a medium rare burger which was excellent ! I also had the Hawaiian Pineapple Cosmopolitan! WOW!Overall I was very pleased and will definitely be going back!“
“I have really loved going there. The only complain would be the side salad. The Caesar dressing is awful and they have no ranch dressing. The steaks are good, but we are from Kansas City, so there's that. The meatloaf and other meals have been very good and we go on a fairly regular basis.“
“Italian restaurant in Roslyn village but not easily seen as its set back by the water. Food is good, service was good. Noisy and dark, needed a flashlight to see the menu.Sales are large size. My favorite in the Bronzino cooked in paper.There is a nearby municipal lot, street parking, and valet parking available“
“Made a reservation here for restaurant week. Apparently didn't need one. The place has its own parking lot with about a dozen spots. We entered the building which took us into the bar, which was bustling. The dining room was quaint, with some really nice booths and a fireplace that should have been lit. Our server was a good looking young man, pleasant, not overbearing with a sense of humor. We opted to include an additional appetizer of baked clams to our meal, along with the crab cake and winter salad, which I forgot to take photos of. My friend opted for the lamb chops while I had the branzino piccata. Yummy, although the menu never stated that the fish was served over a shrimp risotto. (I'm allergic to shrimp). Only 1 bone in the fish, so I was lucky. Our dessert consisted of tiramisu and rainbow cookie cheesecake. I was "fortunate" to get the last piece although not very cheesecake-y. All in all we had a nice dinner and will maybe return for another meal.“
“Good brunch with huge portions, nice place, and tons of options, great spot to try!- fried pickles were very good, huge serving.-Mac and cheese burger was HUGE, very filling. Cooked correctly (rare). Mac and cheese part was good, not super flavorful.- Asian chicken salad was very good, my wife really enjoyed.- bacon washed old fashioned was good, not as flavorful of fat washed bourbon as I’ve had elsewhere. But good drink overall.- not pictured, French toast dunkers which made an excellent dessert at home with great dipping options.The size of the portions really make it worth it, definitely worth checking out. There were tons of options on the menu including some really unique items. I plan to return to try more.“
“Delightful Italian experience! We started with sautéd calamari and the Ceaser perfect for the both of us. The penne a la vodka was aldente and creamy, and the halibut was perfectly cooked amazing with the potato and escarole combo. Exceptional flavors, friendly service a must try! True hidden “
“I went to Monroe’s for brunch with a group of 11 people to celebrate a birthday. David and Frank were our servers and they took amazing care of us. Our whole group did the bottomless brunch option and our glasses were never empty because they were quick to refill them. They also continuously checked on us to make sure we had everything we wanted. The food was great! I had the sliced steak sandwich, it was delicious. The french fries and home fries were exceptional and perfectly seasoned. Everyone was happy with the food they ordered. I highly recommend visiting Monroe’s. We will definitely be back!“

“Excellent Service with our server, David Nunez. Great suggestions by him. Stuffed crab meat shrimp as appetizer, bacon wrapped mozzarella served with a side of Lobster Bisque soup and tuna tartare with avocado. Scallops served with a asparagus and creamy risotto was delicious as entrees. Meal ended with a Creme Brulee topped with sliced strawberries and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. “Wow! This restaurant/lounge is exactly what Oyster Bay needed. They have an incredible selection of wines, an interesting cocktail menu, and the food is delicious. I came in on a rainy Saturday night and enjoyed the cozy, welcoming vibe. The only thing I will say is that the seating is a bit tough. The couches are low, the high top tables aren't inviting, and there is no foot rail if you sit at the bar. While this is not a deal breaker for me, it might be for some so it is worth the mention.“

Parking during the day is hit and miss but that aside for those of us who love a local red table cloth Italian with Italians at the helm DiMaggio's is it. One tip try the Lasagna and you will be hooked for life. Large menu and it is all delicious.“

“First time coming back to this steakhouse since they changed from One North to Opus Steakhouse several years back. The appearance is very classy and open concept. You can see into the kitchen from the main dining area. The restaurant has a pre-fixie dinner special Sunday-Wednesday for three courses (appetizer, entree with a side and dessert). Within the menu there are some choices for an upgrade price in the appetizer and entree categories. I got the spicy tuna crispy rice sushi, skirt steak with potato pave, creamed spinach and the creme brûlée. The spicy tuna crispy rice had a nice balance of flavor and texture. The skirt steak was seasoned nicely and I enjoyed the potato pave with thin layers of crisp potato. The creamed spinach was flavorful and complimented the steak well. The size of the sides are easily sharable. The crème brûlée was the perfect ending to the meal. Creamy, just enough sweetness and delicious. I appreciated that there were options for mocktails there too since I'm currently not drinking at the moment and can enjoy a nice fancy drink. They were about $10 each and had some interesting options. I got the orange beauty which was almost like a tequila sunrise look without the alcohol. It was very tasty. Our waiters were great and answered any questions we may of had. They were very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. We definitely will be returning in the future.“
“The food and service was excellent. The noise level though was beyond bearable. The music was so loud our party of 8 had to scream to each other to talk. It was not pleasant. Just turn it down a bit or don’t start the music until 9. While I would go back I’m hesitant to go for dinner.“

Leading up to our event, Andrea was very helpful and responsive, and the rest of the staff was just as incredible day-of. They were attentive to us and our guests (adults and children alike), regularly checking in to make sure everything was going well and everyone had what they needed. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was fantastic. It was the perfect place for our event, and we'll absolutely be back next time we're in the area!“
