“I will start by saying the decor is fascinating! The pictures that other Yelpers have posted are extensive and accurate, It is beautiful and interesting. Service was pretty fast and friendly. The food is good, I did not know what to expect so I kept an open mind. We shared the fish kuttu appetizer, they were served hot and fresh and the flavor was excellent with a bit of heat. For my main dish I chose the chicken curry and roti, it was delicious! My husband had the pork Lamprais he enjoyed it, he said it was full of flavor. This restaurant has a weekend all you can eat buffet on Saturday and Sunday. I think we'll check it out.“

“I had been trying to get there for years. It was even better than I had imagined it would be. Food is beyond amazing. Skip an earlier meal so you have plenty of room as the portions are huge. And the atmosphere only adds to the experience. Friendly owners and staff.“

“We always go to Beso whenever we go to St. George Theatre. We have been there many times. The food and service are always excellent. They never disappoint. Highly recommend it. I also recommend you make reservations because the place gets very crowded. This is an indication of how good they are.“

Don’t expect a red carpet type of welcoming, depending of the hour of the day this place gets so busy, there’s no time for them to give you their fullest attention to describe each thing on the menu. If you want to eat inside the taco spot there’s no waiter or hostess. Order up front, eat then pay.“

“Came here for darts. Dart boards are in the back room which is great for the leagues. As each table is for a team. One server for the whole night which was great cause he came by very often. “Hop shoppe has been around for quite some time and has proven its reputation with their wide array of delicious burger. My favorite is the holy grail. Inside they have arcade games and a bar. If you're looking to have some good drinks and a great burger this is it. They have a great menu filled with different options including fried pickles! It's worth the trip.“

“I'd give them more than 5 stars if I could. My mom had my dad's 85th birthday party at Mimmo's . The owner, Domenico, was incredibly flexible to the different possibilities my mom was interested in. Day of the party, his son Ralph personally took care of the main table where my parents were. ALL the staff was wonderful and attentive. But my parents were treated with incredible respect. The food was amazing!!! Our family kept raving over how delicious everything was. Course after course, one dish after another, just delicious. And the Nutella zeppolis for dessert - WOW, simply decadent. * A small detail - when signing the contract, while I was excited about the Nutella zeppolis, my mom mentioned "eh, she could do without the Nutella". The atmosphere was wonderful, I love freestyle music, walked in to Judy Torres song , The food was spectacular. I have to mention we didn't realize we when paid cash gave Abby an Extra 100 dollars and she came back and brought to us told us of the extra money. That meant so much to us. Abby Rocks. We live in Portland Oregon, where there's lots of good beer & this place's beer was excellent - and they were playing damn fine music the whole time we there.“

“First, but not last visit. Had a wonderful waitress Samantha and the owner talked with us while he had time. I had the best risotto I ever ate here or in Italy. It was shrimp with Gorgonzola. At first I was hesitant about the Gorgonzola, but I tell you it was outstanding. The fritto misto as an appetizer was delicious and more than enough for 3 people and the salad with beets and goat cheese was delicious too. Give it a try, there is definitely a reason they are in business over 100 years.“

“Tried Ronnie's sandwich shop next door to the 122nd police precinct here on Staten Island yesterday. Got a Pastrami ruben sandwich and an Eggplant Parm sandwich. The pastrami Ruben was real good but the eggplant parm sandwich was a little on the salty side but still good anyway. Overall the place was pretty good and also pretty reasonable. Service came with a smile. Looking forward to trying their other stuff. Now my go to place for hot sandwiches.“

“I live blocks away from here and can't believe I never reviewed since I'm here usually once every few weeks. There are maybe 8 pizza places in walking distance of my house but this is my go to spot. First of all you get these big huge giant slices. Second they are nice and crispy out of the oven and not floppy. Not over oily and love their sauce and cheese they use which isn't too acidity. For a hungry person 2 slices is plenty actually. They have a variety of choices. Also love their chicken rolls and garlic knots.“

“I visited the Old Bermuda Inn for the first time. I have always noticed it from the 440 Staten Island and thought it was beautiful especially when it is lit up at night. I was excited to go. I parked my own car. The front of the venue was beautiful. The school I work for hosted an event on the first floor of over 300 people and over 200 baskets. Seating was comfortable, the tables were beautiful and I was near the bar. Our waitress was on point. I ate the salad with garlic bread, penne vodka and the salmon. My husband got the Chicken Marsala. Many of my coworkers had the stake. They all came with a veggie melody and roasted potatoes. All of the food was delicious. My ultimate favorite was the dessert. It was a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a brownie. I enjoyed it so much that I took the person next to me dessert too bc they were busy dancing and it was melting. The only thing I wished for was a cup of coffee.My family has two events planned there soon. I am looking forward to going back!“

“I left a 12 hr shift deciding what to do for dinner. My patients last night were celebrating Eid with their family, enjoying lamb and various other delicious things. This inspired me to pick up some lamb for my father (As it’s his favorite.) I googled “best lamb on hylan blvd” and this gem popped up only 5 mins from my job. Instead of calling, I opted to order in person. I’m so glad I did. The owner, Tony, was beyond courteous and kind. He was apologetic over wait times, in which I assured him I was in no rush. On a day as busy as this, where there is cultural celebration for others, I knew what to expect. He asked me if it was my first time eating there and I said yes! He was so passionate about explaining the cuisine and helping me place my order to my liking. I would order the chicken sauté and as for my father, the lamb shish kebab. I was floored at the flavor and attentional to detail. My father devoured that lamb! Tony not only provided us with wonderful food, but he made me all the more excited to try it by being such a great person and making me feel taken care of, despite what a busy night it was for them. “We were here briefly while we waited to be seated at Shaw-nae's House next door. The bartender was very personable. They were already used here to getting overflow from next door. The drinks here are so well crafted. I thoroughly enjoyed my mezcal cocktail, others had the French 75 which was equally. I really wanted to get another drink or 3rd but alas time was an issue. This place is an old school style restaurant and I heard good things about it, so at 59 years old I visited there on September 16, 2023 with my wife and another couple for the first time. “Maizal continues to be a favorite place of mine for Mexican food and drinks. The atmosphere is always comforting and homey complete with art decorating the walls, plants in the window, and little vases on the tables.They have gluten free and vegan dishes as well as vegetarian dishes that can be made vegan if ordered without the cheese and sour cream. I had their spinach and mushroom burrito bowl and it was delicious. The vegan enchiladas verde are another go-to choice that I have gotten many times.They also have great flavored margaritas. The hibiscus is my fav. And their homemade guacamole is a must-have to start off your meal.The staff is also always super nice and the bathrooms are clean which we love to see.They recently added some new menu items so I included some screenshots of the menu from their website since I forgot to take a picture in person.“
