“A northcountry hidden gem. Its worth the drive. Best breakfast around with homemade bread and baked goods. You won't leave hungry. Friendly staff and real good coffee.”
“This is how customer service is done...I ordered a two-scoop waffle cone and it was made with Cookie Dough ice cream instead of what I ordered, Cookies and Cream but I didn't discover it until I neared the end of eating the Black Sweet Cherry scoop perched on top. The fellow before me had ordered Cookie Dough ice cream and I could understand how easy it would be to confuse my order. When I went back to the counter, employee Tori apologized for the mix-up and asked (I wish I could recall her exact phrase because it was succinct and was totally customer-focused) essentially "What would you like me to do to fix this?" It wasn't just the words, it was also the sincere tone. It was as if she would have done anything I had asked for, even something as crazy as "give me one scoop of every flavor you have" and I bet she would have done it, with a smile. No doubt the owners already know what an asset they have with Tori. Let this be one more evidence.”

“Great little place in Abay. Nice portion sizes, fairly priced, and really nice people. Our server Tori was a great and treated us well. The desserts are a must, all homemade and you get a good sized slice for less than what you pay at other restaurants.”

“This is roadhouse and family restaurant atmosphere. Prime rib and BBQ ribs were both excellent. Broccoli perfect and not overcooked. Best place we’ve eaten in the area.”

“Friday night lights! We took the extended family for a visit to Cook's Family Diner. Across the road the Varsity Football team was moving the ball down the field meanwhile it was a packed night at the diner. Most of us had the Friday fish special a nice sized piece of fish along with sides. The other half had the queen sized prime rib. Conversations were swirling around across the tables. The staff were unfazed and kept up with the frantic pace. People went out, tables reset, and filled by people they came in. We appreciated their hard work and timely service. Look forward to coming back and checking out breakfast sometime.”

“The ladies working on Monday were swamped when I came in. I need four orders of Fries and they already had a backed up fry line, they didn't complain or even look annoyed (I'm sure I would have been lol) they got all the orders out ahead of me and then mine and wished me a great day. I have to applaud them for their speed, cleanliness, and customer service. You guys did amazing!”

“Love this Jrecks location. Everytime im in Alex Bay I stop for lunch. These subs just have a flavor all on their own. Super fresh roll and just a one of a kind flavor. I grew up on Jrecks in a town called Camden Ny, unfortunatley ours shut down. Thankfully we still have great locations like this one”
“We had the best meal at the Pointe and cannot wait to go back! While the restaurant is pretty unassuming, do not be fooled, it does not disappoint. The service was excellent with Dan going above and beyond by educating us on the area, offering to take a family photo overlooking the water (self portrait by Dan too), and even golf carting us to our car after the meal. The food could not have been better. We had the best onion rings and the juiciest, flavor-filled grilled chicken. We even enjoyed more than a dozen clean, juicy steamed clams. The Pointe is not to be overlooked!”
“Best little bar with a long family history. It's a Georger family building dated back to the pouring of cement at construction still opporated by the Georger family. Always a great time!! The first New Years Eve ball drop in history in The Thousand Islands ever was held this year 2023 and will continue to hold them forever after by originator and idealist Kimberly Kadin.”
“Im from Syracuse and we do not offer Hershey brand flavors so they are all new to me but the oatmeal ice cream is awesome!!! Always so pleasant people working and very patient. Returning every time im in the area!!”

“Do not drive by, you'll be happy you stopped in. I had the fish and chips and it is now my new go to. My friend had the fish tacos and he said, "best I have ever had". Lovely view of the water and the staff were all friendly and welcoming.”
“Went there two nights in a row a few weeks ago and had a great time. Awesome bartenders, with a HUGE shoutout to Jen for helping us with some local plans we had for our weekend. She really made us feel at home. Jen - if you're reading this, thanks again, worked out great.A band played there on Saturday and the room sounded really good.Spent time chatting with other tourists and locals, everyone was super chill and friendly. I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area again.”

“Wow! Cathy’s is a gem! They are slammed during the Summer months and open year around. The Jalapeño Bacon quiche was delicious. The creaminess of the eggs, chopped jalapeños throughout, pieces of bacon and the crust is just crispy enough to be a delight. Combined with a iced caramel macchiato made this breakfast something to come back for. The menu is limited right now during the winter, but between the muffins, danishes and daily breakfast specials, come early before they are sold out.”

“Awesome restaurant, Food was very good although the Haddock had entirely too much thyme on it. Service was good although in my opinion the bread should have been served before the soups came out. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area, Beautiful view of Boldt Castle as well at sunset.”

“We were happy to find Cavallario's open on October 4th at 8 p.m., since so many other places had already closed for the season (we had no idea about "the season" before visiting 1,000 Islands area) or had closed very early evening. We ordered wine (decent selection), blue cheese stuffed filet, and the steak maison. They serve bread coated with a garlic butter topping, which, while it is a bit sloppy to cut and serve, was delicious! Our filets were tender, cooked to perfection (medium... 'raw' and cool in the middle) and were excellent cuts of meat. I highly recommend if you are in the area. They play excellent music to set up a nice romantic dining experience. The reason I am giving it a 4, is because of the lighting. It was incredibly bright and disturbed the ambiance, which was a real shortcoming of an otherwise excellent dinner.”
“We went during the day. It was quiet, which was ok with us. We had a couple of beers and played shuffle board and shot some pool! The wood stove was going, nice and cozy.”

“We’ve had the opportunity to have dinner here hiring the last couple of weeks & both time food was delicious, service was excellent & cocktails were wonderful. They have frozen cocktails that are like a delicious dessert!”
“Restaurants and bars to discover when you visit the 1000 Islands area in Ontario.Good fast-food type meal with a good alcoholic drink on the terrace. The day of my visit, there were musicians who enhanced our customer experience.”

“The pizza was very good. It was a little pricey, and they did not take credit cards. Everything was self service. There is an ATM on site, but the service fee was not posted so I did not even attempt it”

“Great little spot to have breakfast-there usually aren’t many vegan options for breakfast but I was able to get home fries, peanut butter toast and oatmeal. My husband got some of the best pancakes he’s ever had. The waiter was very friendly!”

“We have been to the Korner several times over the Summer and now into the off season. We got this medium double pepperoni to go and it was good, but the pizza is not terribly consistent every time. Different chefs end up with slightly different results on the pizza. And to go is not quite as impressive as the dine-in orders. But gotta say this is still over favorite pizza and wing place around Alex Bay.”

“My friend and I had the pleasure of having lunch at Jezis today...saying it was lunch is an understatement; we had an experience! From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like long time friends. What a unique and comfy atmosphere! The service, food and beverages were nothing short of outstanding! We entered as strangers and left with a hug and promise to return”
