Garganelli alla Norma was also a special and melted in your mouth. The combination of the eggplant and creamy house made ricotta was just incredible. We have been here several times for brunch and a couple of times for dinner. Delicious salad with greens, grape tomatoes and fresh red onions cut over a chicken milanese. Companions enjoyed their choices of crab cake benedict and a large cubano sandwich served with homemade shoestring fries. My husband and I started with two signature drinks...coconut Margarita and French martini. One better than the other. We shared a wedge salad which was split in the kitchen and chopped. Delicious! The only dish that was pretty underwhelming was the shrimp and grits, which was kind of bland. The basil hummus was a warm savory and went so well with the roasted tomatoes and the poached eggs. My brother adores the shed bowl and gets it every time, my dad loves their Cobb salad and the breakfast bowl. My mom particularly loves the atmosphere. Bartender was extremely friendly and helpful, recommended a place to eat since they are currently without a chef so the kitchen was closed which was so disappointing. The New England clam chowder is like no other. It is very delicious and creamy the perfect consistency for clam chowder. Definitely the best around the Ipswich fried clams are my go to favorite. They are fried to perfection and very clean oil which makes the food very good because the oil is always clean that they cook in. The people that work at Bigelow’s are great.
