“Where do I begin? We love Cullens. We were so excited when we heard they were opening a coffee shop in Hannaford Plaza. The staff is all AMAZING. EVERY...SINGLE...ONE. Mike, the head baker and owner makes the best bagels! Mine are always hot off the press when I get one. My oldest likes their bagels as well. Their coffee and tea drinks are very tasty as well. And to top it all off, Cullens is lending Voorheesville Production chairs and a table for Chicago! They are such an integral part of the Voorheesville Community. When hardships strike, they are front line to help in big ways. Cullens is great! Everyone should try it!”

“We were there last night for a friend’s birthday. Place was packed but we had a reservation and were seated quick. Apps, entrees and desserts were all delicious and huge servings. The pineapple tropical margarita was so tasty! Our server Dayana was very sweet and attentive. She made my friend’s birthday very special. We will definitely be going back!”

“We came as a group of four. Parking is super easy in the plaza. The choice for all-you-can-eat is amazing for us who loves meat. The iPad for self ordering is really convenient, and our service guy is really nice in refilling water and changing grill. I'm a huge fan of the seaweed salad and cheesy corn. Fried rice is ok...less flavorful and too little of portion. But the quality of the meat is perfect in Albany. We almost got all kinds of beef if not second round. First time doing lamb and got really surprised by the juicy and flavorful meat. Love the fact that they have ice cream and smores for dessert. Didn't get to drink much this time but would love to come back next time to have another feast.”

“We decided to try Albany Ale and Oyster House on a chilly, rainy Wednesday afternoon since we had to be on New Scotland Avenue for an afternoon doctor appointment. I'm so glad we did, and also happy we arrived just as they were opening because we were able to sit at the bar and visit with one of the owners, Mia. We tried a flight of beer opting for all pilsners, one each from Italy France, Czechia and from our own New York region; all tasty, just the right amount of foam and nice and chilled. I ordered the Beyond brat which comes with comes with kale slaw and honey mustard, crispy potato chips in a brown paper bag for soaking up the oil and keeping them crispy, and a mixed green salad with the best sesame honey dressing. I love good salads and this one was perfect, with dressing on each lettuce leaf. Mia said they take their salads seriously, and you can tell. My partner had the Reuben and he proclaimed it the best he ever had. Overall the taste, presentation and preparation of the food was perfect. Combined with the cozy atmosphere and the friendliness of the owner and all who work there; Albany Ale and Oyster House is now one of my top favorites in the areaVegetarian options: In addition to the Beyond Brat they offer Beyond Burger and some interesting salads.”

“I was CRAVING chicken Kashmiri bad tonight but my husband is not a big fan of the spice in traditional Indian food. As a compromise, we settled on Galleria 7 in Latham, a multi-ethnic food market with excellent vendors, including @Shalimar express.I called around 5 to ask if Shalimar express makes chicken Kashmiri. The nice man answered, told me no and respectfully hung up the call. Within five minutes, the owner, Leo, called me back to tell me that although they do not have chicken Kashmiri as a menu item, they were able to make a modified version and call is chili chicken. We arrived around 615 and Leo greeted us with a smile and a “it was you!!!” He proceeded to explain how he would custom make a dish for me and would make it suitable for my dietary needs. He really didn’t not have to but this man went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience.We received the food within 15 minutes and it was DELICIOUS. The chicken was soft and tender, the garlic naan was flavorful and the veggies were absolute perfection. My husband had the Curry chicken and loved every bite. Leo even came and spoke to us about his history, his family and his love for serving his friends.We never post on this page but Leo made this experience such a memorable one. He went far beyond great customer service and truly the food was Amazing. If you are ever in all Latham, give them a try.”

“My daughter and I had an outstanding dinner last night. We had the soup of the day and artichoke appetizer. We also had the ricotta gnocchi and pasta with clam sauce. Everything was delicious, fresh and served hot. Our server was excellent. She was was attentive and well versed in the menu options. We enjoyed talking with her as she had a wonderful, warm personality. We will absolutely go back. I would highly recommend MezzaNotte.”

“Always very friendly service.The grilled salmon with ginger is one of my favorites as well as roast duck. .They serve a large, nicely done piece of salmon with plenty of bok choy, broccoli, rice noodles or rice, along with pickled Daikon and carrots......enough for 2 large portion meals! My very favorite is grilled tofu with peanut sauce but unfortunately it's only served at Albany location.”

The breakfast items we've ordered are always properly prepared, and the coffee hot, but the one time we ate off the lunch menu we weren't thrilled and decided that in the future we'd stick with breakfast, which they serve morning and afternoon (we've never made it there the one evening a week they're open for dinner). They always have breakfast specials which are very reasonably priced and the atmosphere is a welcome step back in time so we look forward to returning.”

The place could be classified as casual with its numerous tables and families inside. I ordered the Chicken Kofta and it was simply divine. You couldn't tell me I wasn't dining in the finest Afghani establishment outside of the actual country. If I am ever in Colonie again, I will return.”
