“The restaurant is in a low traffic area and seems to do decent with takeout. I haven't seen anyone sit down yet each time I went. Restaurant looks pretty clean and full of space. The folk working here are pretty nice. Portion sizes are either lunch or dinner size for your platters. Even the lunch size is a good size portion enough for one person. The dinner size is enough for two people. When we ordered the lunch size for gyro, we had a choice of either a salad or a soup for the first side which is separate from the gyro and there is a second side that goes along with the gyro, so you can pick one of the following fries, rice, lemon potatoes or grilled vegetables. The container is filled about 80% full with grilled pita. When we ordered the dinner size for gyro, its the same as lunch but you can pick two of the sides that go along the gyro. This is effectively filling your container all the way to the top at 100% filled with grilled pita. Recently it appears they increased this to up to three sides, but I imagine they will just reduce the portion size of each side if you pick three but would still fill the container full. The Greek salad is good and the soups we tried were also good. The gyros and chicken souvlaki were on point.“

“Great beer selection - loved all the IPAs I tried!! Live in queens but was in the area and wanted to try a new brewery. Owner is very nice and welcoming. The space inside is nice and cozy but they also have outside seating too. I definitely recommend adding this to your next go-to brewery :)“

“First time and could not be more impressed. First the bread , amazing . Chef Guerrieri is spot on with everything he prepares. Freshest ingredients put together perfectly . Did I mention the bread ? Only negative was they were sold out of the octopus ( I did order less than an hour to closing on a Friday in Lent , so I’m to blame) . The replacement the Chef recommended and provided was more than adequate and extremely generous. Great spot , great Chef , highly recommend.“

“This smoothie shop is one of the best in area in terms of pricing, quality and staff. Every time you enter, you're greeted with positivity and I truly appreciate the ability to customize all of the ingredients in your order. Often times, it's hard to find smoothie places that can make drinks without the added sugar (either through juices or purees), but every drink I've had from here has always exceeded my expectations. “This place is a hidden gem and features some of the best ice cream/ gelato I've ever had on Long Island. I got the campfire crunch swirly, and it was delicious. Ice cream was super cremy and fresh, and they put the perfect amount of blended toppings in the swirly.The shop featured about 20 gelato flavors to choose from and also had a nice expresso bar/candy station in the back.The service was nice and friendly.Overall, this place is a must try!“

“We had my mothers' 90th birthday last Saturday and we are very pleased with the entire experience. Robbie was a pleasure to work with, he answered all our questions and was helpful with the food choices and the entire setup. Ignacio and Rueben provided outstanding service the day of the party, and dealt with late comers and we even went over the time frame a little bit. Now to the food, wow wow wow! “I'm so surprised I hadn't written a review for Marvel before, especially since I have been here a couple times because it's pretty close to my sister's house. It's definitely great value compared to a lot of other ice cream shops. Since the last time I was there they've added more flavor options too. When I went recently, I ordered a small cup of half pistachio/half dulce de leche with the Marvel mix on top (rainbow sprinkles/chocolate crunchies). It hit the spot, although it did not seem as creamy as it was the last time I had it. Service was ok, not the friendliest though. If I'm around the area, I may pop back.“

“My family and I tried Park Avenue Grill because of their large gluten free menu. The brunch food was excellent. I tried the gluten free churro waffle bites, which were divine, and GF Tuscan eggs Benedict. There was also a decent sized vegan menu! Their specialty lattes were delicious. The atmosphere is cozy inside and they have an outdoor patio! “Family owned for 85 years. There is no place better for Ipswich Belly Clams; fried to perfection. Start with a bowl of soup (I get New England and Manhattan mixed - it's amazing) and finish with a slice of pie. The new outdoor patio has transformed Bigelow's into a must stop location on a nice spring/summer/fall evening (and it's enclosed and heated for the winter.)“

True to form , they also sell 'biscuits and cakes' made there , also .The pizzas are an added treat , and are priced at less than $2.00/slice currently , and after 9:00 p.m. a slice is just $1.50 ! . “Best mall on the island, in my opinion. Great tech stores and kids stores. Even good clothing stores coming from someone who dispises clothing shopping. The only issue is that it is so big you can get lost. There are maps all over the mall, but if you can't read them, bring someone with you who can. There used to be paper maps as well that you could take with you around the mall, but they stopped making them. You can get a digital version on your phone, though.“

“Very cute, quaint, chill spot for all ages. Depends on what you’re looking for. Saw a few mothers on “play dates” or shall I say “Mommy & Me dates,” all very accommodating. If you’re going for a drink or coffee, it’s a great spot. Have several outlets in some of the seating areas, which allows ease for working remotely as well. I just put my headphones to be able to concentrate more. Not a rowdy place at all, as I mentioned super chill. Staff doesn’t bother you and you can stay as long as you want. Had the matcha latte, and it was unsweetened, which I appreciated as it’s more natural and I can sweeten to my own liking. Love the ambiance and decor, would go back! “Very much a hidden gem. The place is cozy with a warm atmosphere and very cool. There are the big beer tanks visible right in the space. There are so many interesting beer and drink choices and a small menu with a few items like a bar pizza and empanadas. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. “We had The Big Cheese Bellmore food truck for our son’s 1st birthday was the best decision we made! Everyone was raving about the food, how unique it was, how quickly they served everyone, and how amazing Chrissa was. Chrissa was so kind and went out to her way to make sure everything went smoothly. She even showed up early to check where the best place to park would be. So happy we chose to have Chrissa and her amazing staff for the party! She is absolute joy! Loves what she does, people, and cooking! Highly recommend! “Awesome brewery with a family-friendly feeling to it. This was the last stop of the day for me after hitting a few other breweries. The beers were really good and there were a good amount of styles to choose from. Everyone there was having a good time. They had a big fluffy golden doodle running around who was awesome. I also like that the sampler glasses were little beakers. I'll be back for sure.“

After reading some negative reviews together we decided to try it out for ourselves. I must say I don’t agree with any of them. The staff was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere was very nice, I’m not sure what some people meant by the vibe seeming “fake” but I definitely didn’t feel that way. They had pretty good food options for breakfast and lunch and an assortment of pastries as well. For the reviews about the owner, I didn’t talk to him myself but I heard him talking to staff and other customers and he seemed like a very normal dude. Overall I just wanted to say I don’t agree with the bad reviews..“

“The shed has great ambiance, great food and service. They also have great gluten free options. My wife particularly enjoys their Cobb salad. However, one unfortunate event happened today. Today we ordered to go from the shed and really enjoyed the food as well, but the burger boxes were mislabeled and I accidentally ate a bite of the non-gluten free burger my friend ordered. I have celiac and unfortunately I quickly started bloating. This was despite emphasizing at the time of ordering that I have this sensitivity to gluten. We did inform the store and the manager Barbara was very apologetic and kindly offered to removed the burger off the bill as well as to remake the burger and even offered a gift card to be picked up next visit. It was an unfortunate mistake and we would still eat there again, but let the store know more so it doesn't happen again for us or others. Definitely still highly recommend the restaurant!“

“A fun place for lunch and dinner. I was a bit hesitant bring my son who is 3yo, because you just never know if he's having a good day or bad day. But I decided to take the risk and bring him on a mini date because there's only so many visits this mommy can take to Chik-fil-A and it turned out great. He was on his good behavior and tried the mushroom risotto, which I told him was cheesy rice with my short rib and he has a cheese burger and fries. They did forget to put cheese on his burger which he was quick to point out but that was a quick fix, the staff was quick to melt a slice of cheese on his burger and brought it back out quick. My only semi-compliant was a side was small sweet potato smash was $12 which was the same cost of his burger and fries. Otherwise, everything was great, staff was attentive and we had a fun time. “I don’t normally write reviews but I felt compelled to write one now. Tonight we threw a surprise birthday party for a family member here. The entire experience was amazing.The owner is super accommodating, even letting me switch the date or the event last minute and change the number of people. They gave us ample space to set up food, desserts, and have more than enough seating for our guests.The bartender was awesome, friendly, and very helpful. He even came to sweep our area before our event started after we dropped some decorations on the floor.There was a live band that everyone enjoyed, from the younger guests to the older guests. The games also kept the kids entertained.This place was exactly what we were looking for and it was perfect for everyone who attended, from the 4 year old up to the 78 year old. This is perfect for events and families!“

“For the past few weeks, I've been trying new coffee shops on Long Island and I finally tried this one. It's been on my list for a while because they seem to have a lot of fun flavors. They also have some cool seasonal flavors depending on the time of year! I went right before St Patrick's Day, so I got the iced lucky charms latte, which was obviously seasonal for the holiday. They also had a peeps marshmallow latte for Easter, which looked good. Plus, they decorate the coffees and lattes very cute! The lucky charms latte typically comes with whipped cream and lucky charms on top, although I got it without whipped cream. I'm not sure if it usually gets busy, but I came around 8am and there was no line, so I got my coffee very fast. Would definitely recommend!“

“Sand City has the usual industrial setup where the tasting room is part of the brewery at the back. Since the whole place is open, the yeast and hops smell is strong. Loved the breakfast stout and their sour. There is a food truck outside with outdoor seating and they are dog friendly. Good place to chill out if you can stomach the smell. It kind of grew on me and I was okay with it. The staff was very helpful and gave good explanation of the beers and samples.“

“My husband and I haven't been to Besito in years, so I surprised him with a date night there! It was such a nice dinner! The restaurant was pretty full, but somehow it wasn't super noisy and we could hear the salsa music playing in the background. The service was EXCELLENT — friendly staff, lots of smiles, and the food came out quickly. We had the iron skillet tacos (mine was steak and my husband's was mixto). Delicious! We also had the sweet plantains and yuca fries, which were excellent. And the white sangria — YUM!!!! And let's not forget the guac and chips — so fresh and really good! Overall, 10/10.
