“Hidden little gem right on the boarder of Wappingers off 9d. Its full of inviting staff, great drinks and REALLY GOOD FOOD! My personal favorite meal is the Sweet Mother Clucker that has this homemade smokey ranch on it….the ranch is out of this world (I want it on everything). They also have unique flavorful specials that change weekly, you don’t want to miss out on. My friends and I strongly recommend AJs cafe. Whether you’re a local, new to the area, or crossing through Wappingers it’s a great place to go.Parking: Depending on the time of day you might not be able to park right in front of the door but if you don’t mind walking less than a min there is always parking a little further away from the building. It’s a safe quiet street.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Had a great experience this evening and our waitress Alexis was a big reason for this. Went out of her way to go above & beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. Also provided consistent communication and was constantly checking in, despite having other tables to tend to. Best waitress we have had at Double O thus far.“
“Some very small portion sizes for $10 sides (especially the carrots, so few carrots for the price!)... Also all the food was cold. Besides that, very cool vibe, the service was great and the food & drinks tasted great. The staff also was very patient working with our dietary restrictions. Just wish the food was hot and not such small portions.“
“We went looking for a gluten free lunch and they had a great menu strictly for celiacs. The place smelled like heaven and the food was great. The people were very friendly too. All in all highly recommendDietary restrictions: They had a gluten free and vegan menu.“
“The Falcon is an absolutely wonderful place. Not only is the venue itself great but so is the food, the atmosphere, the museum that they have, the staff, and the support that they offer to the artists that perform there is beyond stellar. The Falcon is well worth a stop.“
“Great burger, great appetizers and a slew of fantastic drinks. There seem to be more staff and folks tending the bar that I seem to remember over the last couple of years but there's nothing wrong with that. For the locals the wherehouse is definitely a comfortable place to go, a great place to hang out on the weekends especially in the summer. Tons of parking around the area and lots of other little things to go and see as well on Liberty street. But with the live music and the good food you can spend a couple hours here without a problem.“
“This place has amazing service but even better food! The tacos Arabe & Steak tacos, Quesabirria Ramen was Fire ! ??? They are also very creative with the menu and have things like Crab Stuffed Peppers tacos & Duck w mole ! Everyone at the table agreed that the food did not dissapoint. Nice to see flavorful options in the hood! 10 out of 10.This place has amazing service but even better food! .The Arabic tacos and asada tacos, Quesabirria Ramen were fire! ??? They are also very creative with the menu and have things like chili tacos stuffed with crab and duck with mole! Everyone at the table agreed that the food was terrible. It's good to see tasty options in the Newburgh neighborhood. 10 out of 10. Recommended“
“What an amazing place. Selected it as a venue for a gathering of friends as an upstate/downstate geo midpoint. Food was unbelievably amazing (ordered off appetizer menu, late night menu, but the whole menu looked great), hosts Russ & Helga were warm welcoming and friendly, live music from Ethan Levy was perfect, every server and bartender were top notch. We will definitely be back. This is a rare Hudson Valley jewel that I am so glad we found.“
“Our family celebrated our son’s baptism in their beautiful event space. We could not have asked for more. The space was perfect with our own bar and bathroom. The food and service was amazing! Amazing menu options. Great communication with the owner.Kid-friendliness: Hannah our waitress was so amazing to the children.“
“Our experience was pleasant. The food was delicious and presented exceptionally. Appetizers and main dishes were served hot and great presentation. Drinks were perfect as well as the dessert choices. Dessert, coffee and after meal drinks just added to the whole meal and dining experience. Definitely will recommend and return soon.“
“My husband and I made the first reservation on this past Saturday. We are so impressed with how aesthetically beautiful, quaint, and comfortable the restaurant is. We loved Monica's service. We met the owners who were so kind. The meals were excellent. I've never tasted a better au gratin potato. The filet mignon was superb. My husband and I don't go out often because we're introverts but this place is now "our place."Parking: Parking will take you directly to the entrance to the tavern.“
“Despite all the restaurant competition in Beacon, this place is still a stand out. Nice venue to see some of the old time greats. Food was absolutely fantastic, but they seem a little short on the front end. Not enough staff. But if you have a little patience you have a wonderful meal.“
“Our waitres Stephanie was absolutely wonderful. I usually don't take the time to post any reviews but i had to congratulate her on her job.she had the nicest and most friendliest welcome .we ordered the bbq ribs, the Rubin sandwich and a cheese burger . My wife wanted her burger just a little more done .we got Stephanie's attention and told her if they can cook it just a little more.stephanie was so undetsanding and its the attitude you have with a customer that makes the difference of a good employee. She returned with a new order immediately. She took care of us with always a smile and made our dinning experience just wonderful. Also there was another employee that helped us, just as friendly and attentive. I didn't get his name but I think he had a beard and wore glasses .congratulate to both of them of being such good/caring people. To the management of the restaurant. You are very fortunate and extremely lucky that you have theses employees working for you .My daughter will be attending mt.saint Mary's in the near future and we will be visiting you again soon.PS.the food was absolutely delicious. My daughter and wife said that the bbq ribs were the best they ever hadWill see you soon.“
“This is the best restaurant in Beacon! The food is always amazing, and I really love their creativity. Every month or so the menu changes and they develop incredible new dishes around a different type of cuisine or theme. Staff is super nice too - vibe is always perfect. Also, Bree is an incredible bartender. Can’t recommend her cocktails enough!Vegetarian options: If you tell them you’re vegetarian ahead of time they will prepare vegetarian versions in place of each meat course.Dietary restrictions: They’ve happily accommodated requests for vegetarian food or eliminating a certain ingredient due to a food aversion. Really appreciate that so that everyone can enjoy the pre-fixe menu.“
“I work at the DMV in Beacon and we had our holiday party catered by the Beacon Daily. The food was delicious! Everything was hot and portions were plentiful. The bang bang cauliflower not too spicy and was a big hit! And the Big Mac tater tots was another fun appetizer that was overloaded with all the trimmings. We also added chicken sandwiches and the portions were huge and very tasty. We highly recommend this establishment and would not hesitate to order again.“
“Googled a good sports bar and this was the number one option. It's a indoor golf/whiskey bar more than a sports bar but drinks are good and cheap. The kitchen messed up my food order but it was still good so I won't knock any points off. The bartender and staff were super friendly and welcoming. I'll come back for sure.“
“Excellent local casual restaurant. We’ve only been here twice in the past five years, mostly recently March 2024. This past visit we had the steak cafe salad, which was delicious. We also split the garlic bread, which was a very smart inventive take on it, cubing the pieces which made it much more enjoyable of a bite rather than ripping apart or gnawing away at a big loaf. Service was friendly and timely. Cute place and nice atmosphere. Nicely located by the restaurants and shops.“
“Management, service, food quality and value were all excellent. I made a note that we were there for my mother's birthday which was automatically acknowledged upon arrival and throughout the evening. Most importantly my mother thoroughly enjoyed her experience.“
“Monday night Prime Rib was amazing. Im a salt-o-holic i didn't need salt on my prime rib it was perfect when dipped in the sauce. Service well everyone knows everyone in the place a true local pub. But duper friendly staff. Felt like you could just belong here if you wanted to. Lots of cool decor!“
“Simple burger spot in Beacon - stopped by to eat a well deserved burger after a long hike. I got the single Dutch Burger ($11) and some fries ($3.50) to go. I loved all the veggies in the burger; lots of spring salad mix, tomatoes, slivered onions and lots of pickle slices. It was a pretty messy burger though, lots of water was on the bottom of my to-go container and the toppings kept on falling out. I thought the patty was a bit on the smaller side and the fries were way too soggy, but overall a decent spot!“
“'twas open Easter Sunday. Vegetable hash seemed to be expensive at $21, but was so good, we ordered second one. Baileys coffee at $12 was ok. Breve coffee was good, but the beans were overroasted (say, compared to Undeground Breve). Overall, good place, food, and Service. Only one restroom, always busy, but clean and great soap there.“
“Absolutely loved our dinner! The food was amazing, get the French onion soup you will not regret it. The cocktails are inspired and the ambiance lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely come up a hit early so you can walk around the property and the farm.“
“Needed a quick stop for some good food on a long drive from CT to the Cakskills. Something better than the usual chains. My girlfriend found Eleven 11 online and we are pleased she did. Stopped by late afternoon - just a few minutes off I-84. Service was friendly, helpful and attentive. The food was great - I had the steak sandwich and she had the tuna tartare and fries. Drinks were reasonable, and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. A perfect stop. I would dine here again.Dietary restrictions: Plenty of variety and good with allergies.Parking: Parking right behind the restaurant“
“What's not to love? This Wappingers spot is right in town, they serve up tasty food, quality beverages, and the staff will treat you well. The bar is quite nice, and definitely clean. Even better, when it's nice outside, there's an adorable back deck that's perfect for sipping a cider, or one of their serious selection of craft beers on tap. There are also cocktails available, but they seem to truly care about the tap selection. Right now they've got a 16% ABV stout out of Brooklyn on tap, which is downright dangerous. This seems like the rare bar that not only fries things well, but it also cares about the rest of its menu too. No one is ever sad about bang bang shrimp and chicken fingers and fries (we order like adults around here), but the salads are very solid as well. There are even vegetarian and vegan options for your friends who aren't quite as meaty (technical term). And that's all I have to say about that.“
