“This was the 2nd time recently ordering from them. Cheese pizza, pepperoni Stromboli, Buffalo chicken wings & ham sub were done to perfection. Ordered delivery both times & we received it quicker than anticipated. Everything was hot, fresh & delicious. Truly can't say enough nice things.“
“We always have a fantastic experience when we visit and celebrate every milestone here- engagement, engagement party, rehearsal dinner, daughter’s 1st birthday, and date nights. Jess, Chef Chris, and the whole staff make the experience outstanding from first bite! Always looking forward to coming back again.Kid-friendliness: Il Faro is always so accommodating when we bring our 2 year old. They have crayons, coloring books, sippy cups and modified food options. We never feel rushed or an inconvenience when we are eating here even with a 2 year old. Il Faro takes care of every customer no matter the age!“
“The food was awesome and our waitress Alivia made the whole experience. Her knowledge of wine paired with food was superb and her attentiveness to our table was excellent. I will highly recommend this establishment to my friends and will return in the future“
“At at Nonna Maria’s last week. All our food was delicious and plenty of it, My husbands veal was tuff, not their fault, they took it back and he got chic Parm. He wasn’t crazy about the sauce, neither was our friends. We all like a thin sauce. Took our food home and he ate mine which he loved and I ate his which was very tender. We just like a thinner sauce. The waitress Linda was very attentive to us. The cook came out too, he made my husband the chicken parm then. All in all place was nice. Waitress was great and I will go again with my husband, he will just get something like I had. It really was delishous. I left a lil crazy tip for our waitress Because my husband kept complaining. Linda and chef were great, they did all they can“
“I've lived here my entire life passed this place a thousand times and finally went in...one of life's regrets is not trying to sooner. Everything was perfect from the second you walk in.I had the Veal Luciana, hands down the best I've ever had. This is one of my top dish life time. You have to give them a try. The house salad was also out of this word, I could have got two of those and been satisfied with my meal. Simply delicious.Great service and quick food delivery. Everything and everyone was on point.Prices were right on with what you get for a meal. Excellent flavor.“
“I visit there about 4-5 times a month to grab a bite to eat, I usually get the lasagna dinner or their hot subs. Hands down the best in the area. The staff is always friendly and helpful. when in the area a must stop it won't disappoint!“
“I recently hosted an event at Villa di Como Ristorante through my job, and everything was absolute perfection -- the food, the drinks, their team, the atmosphere. Our guests complimented it all throughout the night. The staff was warm, welcoming, flexible, and collaborative. It was a memorable and enjoyable evening. Highly recommended!“
“My family, friends, and I are constantly pleased with Nic's! The restaurant itself is immaculate. No exaggeration, probably the cleanest restaurant I have ever eaten in. I have dined at Nic's probably around 20 times, and I have never had a bad meal. All food is fresh and prepared daily right in the kitchen. We are fortunate to have a place like Nic's here in East Greenbush. The owners are hands-on, and it shows in every aspect of the business. Thanks again for a great meal.“
“I have not been to this store in years. Did not disappoint . Staff is friendly and helpful . I purchased items off the shelves which yes pricey but hard to find anywhere else locally. Also, purchased Mac salad and chicken cutlets and all was delicious. I will be going back to try their other items in the near future. Make sure you pay with CASH because they tac on 3% for credit cards.“
“So we decided to go on their Tuesday 3 for 30 special.Cons: The waitress didn't fill up our drinks the entire time we were there and the glasses were right on the edge. I had to finally ask her and eventually she brought them. We also were using a gift card to pay. The waitress told us we couldn't tip using the gift card and there was no alternative way to add a tip which makes no sense since plenty of restaurants can. And she kept taking my phone with her to go discuss the issue which I wasn't comfortable with. Eventually she said she could remove a drink and then make me pay for that in order to leave a tip. I strongly advise to not buy a gift card here!Pros: the chicken Parm was absolutely huge, delicious and a great deal!!! Also the Mac and cheese bites are amazing. Overall the 3 for 30 deal is a Great special. The toffee pudding cake is delicious as well! Food was good! The food also came out very fast.“
“Love this quirky yet cozy and super-cool spot. A great thing about Troy is the old buildings there have cool nook-like spaces such as this. The wood fired wings were really good - not straight down the middle typical Buffalo wings, but very good (with top notch bleu cheese.). “Medium” had just the right amount of heat for us. Pizza was very good too. Look forward to going back. Recommend.“
“I’ve had my share of pizza, this is the best in the region. Thin slice, crispy crust, wings are phenomenal.. and we all know that’s hard to find nowadays. Have never got something here I didn’t like.. pizza, sub, garlic knots, wings.. these guys know how to make it.“
“Excellent food, great service. Interesting place, definitely with a vintage vibe. We are from out of town, visited on recommendation. We loved it! If back in area, will visit again. Definitely make reservations in advance. There is street parking, and restaurant states you can park in municipal lot next to restaurant. Lot has a sign stating $10, but not sure if money collected at night though. We parked pretty easily on the street.“
“I always come here for the duck and the panna cotta... The duck here is the best in the area and consist since they opened. The potato and leek soup was also very good. My hubby got the salad, pasta special and the amaretto cherry Gelato and said it was delicious as well. I recommend all the foods here but note the bolognese here has cardimon which throws me off and the only place I don't prefer bolognese... But the duck is my fav anyways. They are also attentive to my food allergy here.“
“I went to meet a group of friends that I hadn't met before. We had a group dinner I forgot to bring cash I had a credit card only. The waitress handled it very well. I've ordered food from pasta Payne before but I've never eaten there. It was very nice inside. Next time we arranged to meet I have to ask not to be up on this step section. I didn't know it had a stepped up section. Everything was nice the bread was good that they gave us as we ordered they had Earl Gray tea which was awesome cuz some places don't carry it. I didn't want to get a meal so I got appetizers calamari. There's a spot on. I had a nice crunch it had a nice texture it was awesome flavored. We came with the marinara sauce that was that was good I'm not in the marinara but I know it was good. I also ordered from the side menu, Fagioli Cavolo. Greens and beans. My dad made this every year and I hated it never ate it I think I tried it once. I had it at a restaurant a year ago and I actually kind of liked it so I thought I'll order it here. I actually kind of love it. It looks beautiful. It was so bright and green and the beans were just perfect and the sauce just tasted awesome. It's like a soupy broth it was in. I don't know if they used to meet soup broth like chicken or if it's just the Bean Juice but it tastes like maybe there might have been cheese like Romano or parmigiana. I don't really know what was in it but it was awesome. I was incredibly happy I ordered it. I didn't take a picture of the food when I was there but everyone knows what calamari looks like there's not great kind you get that has icky breading and there's a really lovely kind that has a delicate perfect breading and the delicate perfect breading is what I got. I did take a picture of The Greens and Beans the next day when I ate the the rest of it. It was still amazing. It's a shame my pictures do not do the food Justice because it was just fantabulous. It was so fresh tasting. I thought I hated kale but it turns out if you know what you're doing kale is amazing.“
“I placed 2 large orders for work events in the last 2 weeks. The food is absolutely delicious. Everyone was raving about Rose’s antipasto salad. The ordering and delivery was easy, timely and convenient. I highly recommend. Food and customer service top notch!“
“Super Sbarro! Staff is laid back, like to talk and straight-up oven bakes and knocks out flavorful pizza, dough, salads, calzones, desserts, drinks, garlic knots. A meal (calzone, drink, 1 side) runs you $13. That's a steal considering when you go out to eat these days your entree has shrunk %65 and on top of that you're forced to subsidize wait staff's 'bizarro' life choices + college tuition!NOT AT SBARRO! Some days they have free samples. My calzone was a total success. Food establishments in 2023 are shrinking sizes, leaving out ingredients, serving expired foods and over-shelved beer nobody wants. Without me.I'm coming back to Sbarro in Colonie again this weekend: great deals, flavor-punches and delightful service by tough-as-nails New York pizzaiolos!Rebel review: 5++“
“Came here with a few colleagues some days ago looking for a nice wine spot. This place is very nice, cozy and intimate. The wine and beers are great. Staff very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The owner came out at some point to check on us and he was great :) On top of the drinks we also had the cheese plate and some spaghetti, both of which were absolutely wonderful. We are not from Albany but if I ever find myself here again I'll definitely be back! Thanks for a great service :)“
“Dereck was amazing as soon as we walked in with greeting us. He was also our server and was wonderful. Recommend amazing appetizers. I had the napoleon eggplant and don’t get me started on the bread and pesto dip… delicious. The chef was even accommodating on making my husband chicken Florentine and I had the chicken parm. Really huge portions and well priced but most importantly delicious. Will be back for sure.“
“We ordered 1/2 trays of chicken parm, eggplant parm and more. Everything was perfecto and everyone loved the food. It was our first time using DeFazio's to cater and we will do it again for sure. Highly recommend and kudos to the chefs!!!! Also loved the mini cannolis and genets!!!“
“I was sceptical of the combination of food options but they pull it off. The food was excellent and the service was great as well. Ordered a variety of food for a takeout dinner and everything from the quesadillas to the Nutella calzone was delicious!“
“Decided to stop here for lunch during a long drive and it was fabulous. The ciabatta is to die for (it’s big beware :)). The boar’s head meat and cheese just elevates the quality and the extra toppings offered made the sandwich perfect. We made our own but they have a wide selection of speciality sandwiches that looked divine“
“I grew up in the Lansingburgh area so I've known about Verdiles for many years. For those that do not know Verdiles, it is a family run restaurant and back when they first started it was their mother who made the pasta sauce and meatballs. Her recipes are still used today. I love going there, the staff is very warm and welcoming. Everyone is treated like family. The atmosphere reminds me of a 1960's Italian restaurant. They have made many updates and changes to the restaurant but it still has that vibe. I love looking at all the pictures of the Verdiles family that are around the restaurant. I recommend their homemade pasta with your meal. Great food, great atmosphere and great service. You can't go wrong.“
“We went there for Easter dinner and had a great meal. We did a call ahead and we had a short wait. Our server was great, she answered all our questions and did not rush us at all. Our meals came out perfectly cooked and hot. We could not have been more pleased with our choices. Even though the place was packed they did not rush you so they could turn over the table. So glad we selected Delmonico's.“
“Had a friend recommend this place a while back and I've been a repeat customer ever since. Delivery time is always reasonable, and the food is always amazing. I usually go for just pizza and wings, but anytime I've branched out and tried something new I've never been disappointed. 5/5 definitely recommend!!“
“Wow, I'm Italian and felt like my grandmom was in the back cooking. Everything had was amazing! Lidia, the co-owner, waited on us. She took the time to talk with us and made us feel truly special. Only problem was that I ate too much because everything was so good. We started with the special olive oil dip and bread. I would normally never mention this, but it was amazing, enjoyed sharing the roasted red peppers salad with my spouse. Sooo good! I had the Chicken/eggplant Parmesan combination. Amazing! Amy, my spouse, had the Chicken Milanese. She loved it! We had enough for leftovers for the next day and I can't believe that it tasted even better the next day! We were full, but had to try the lemon/blueberry cake for dessert. Everything was on point! Warm environment with great food and better people! Thank you Lidia!!!“
“Excellent calzone and Greek salad to go for dinner last night. My husband and I went to college in Brooklyn and used to eat calzone all the time. We finally found one that measures up!!! Got it with sausage and olives and it was sooooo good. Got two but we couldn't finish one. Salad was huge too, and just perfect. Lots of feta and olives and good dressing. Man at the counter could not be nicer. Even held the door for me.“
“This place was amazing.....The garlic parmesan chicken wings were delicious and the Meat Lovers Calzone was so good and the portions are huge...... took home a meatball sandwich for dinner and the meatballs were the best I ever have eaten.....you owe it to yourself to try it. You won't be disappointed....“
“My boyfie was kind enough to treat me to a celebratory dinner after I finished a big capstone project for my Master's program. While Rosanna's takes reservations, I don't think it's entirely necessary. On arrival, there were plenty of seats available, though we also DID come on a Thursday afternoon. Our service here was so delightful! I felt that our waitress was attentive enough, but also gave us space to enjoy a romantic date night out. Rosanna's menu does change seasonally, but when boyfie and I came the night we did, we shared the snapper with tagliatelle and seared scallops with cauliflower puree. While not necessarily my all-time favorite dishes, I was very impressed with the food we ordered. The snapper was grilled to perfection. The seared scallops paired beautifully with the cauliflower. And the tagliatelle, though slightly overcooked to my liking, came with a delicious tomato wine sauce. I really enjoyed Rosanna's, and I would love to come back here again for another special occasion to celebrate!“
“Won't go anywhere else for pizza on this side of the river, and I've tried them all. Best price and quality for pizza/wings, and their pasta dishes are excellent as well. Only complaint is the limited hours, I wish I could eat here everyday.Parking: 15 minute parking for about 5 cars in front of store if empty“
“We went to dinner for our son's birthday. Everything was wonderful, food, service and the atmosphere. We had two young grandchildren with us. Our waiter really helped make the children's time fun. We will definitely return.Parking: The parking was behind the restaurant. It was shared with other businesses. It was dark so it was somewhat of a challenge for my wife. It was also our first time going. Next time we would know the area better.“
“The strategy to winning a case in court is to follow this simple procedure: 1-Tell the jury what you are going to do. 2. Do it. 3. Summarize and tell them how you did it. This same formula works to perfection at what has been called "Troy's best kept secret." Proudly displayed on the shirts that several of the staff and chef's wear two vital commitments are proclaimed. "Comfort Food" and "Famiglia.".So there is no pretense here. This is no place for nouvelle cuisine with its miniscule portions and esoteric dishes. Rather it is an embracing, warm establishment where the care and love that are emblematic of the southern Italian culture are continually in evidence. You would expect than the storied favorites to be served up in impressive portions where flavors are married into a tasteful delight. At Testo's you have come to the right place. Elsewhere on Yelp another reviewer will state that Testo's and Verdile's are equals, with strong proponents for each. I couldn't disagree more. In fact that is like saying "I can't quite choose between a 1974 Chevy Vega and a 1973 Porsche 911 for sale at the same price. HAH! Testo's blows their supposed rival right out of the water in terms of atmosphere, service, portion size, menu choices, TASTE of the food, dedication to quality, and diner satisfaction. One time there some months ago and I will never return to the Chevy Vega. One time at the Porsche 911 and I had to return the very next day for the Friday special, having been delighted with the Thursday special of lasagna. And oh, the sauce! No wonder they bottle and sell it right there at this friendly neighborhood restaurant. It is like my Father's and maternal Grandmother's, nurtured on either sides of Mt. Etna in Sicily. A great sauce is known by its texture and a taste that is a medley of flavors that let the tomatoes sing. I have had so many mediocre to terrible red sauces served at supposed Italian restaurants that I could scream, or cry, or give up on trying to recapture what MY "famiglia" did so well and so consistently. Thank God I at last discovered this treasure still imbedded in memories of the Sunday gatherings of Italian-Americans with one foot still in the old country. These are glorious, boisterous affairs of up to twenty or more relatives. Dino Martino (Dean Martin to non-Italians) singing the songs of Naples (I shed a silent tear at "Return to me oh my darling"), or that early sixties' favorite "Volare." Now to the food, the star of all great restaurants. The lasagna was as well prepared as the sauce, creamy and stuffed with the joy of high quality ricotta (I swear some Jersey Diners use cottage cheese--an "infamnia")! Having seen a photograph of a layered apple dessert on their website, I took courage in hand (because the lasagna portion was indeed generous). A brilliant move on my part. It came warm and beautiful with real whipped cream and several healthy scoops of vanilla ice cream to the side. Even the coffee is top notch, always fresh and deeply flavored. I can't leave out the wonderful staff that enhances the dining experience. From the sweetest and kindness young woman you are like to meet these days, Daisha, to Testo's own Talia Shire/Connie (from 'Godfather II era, please) Lisa who guides her young servers with impeccable knowledge and a steady hand of encouragement. Unlike Verdile's bored ancients doing a "Stepin Fetchit" routine (look it up), this crew throws themselves into their responsibilities with enthusiasm and efficiency., guaranteeing that their service will be the equal to the very fine cuisine. Prices are fair and in keeping with the investment in nothing but the best ingredients. "Skimping" is simply not in the vocabulary of the two sons who make their founding father proud. My friends, this is an immersive experience in the best of classic Italian-American food and culture. You will be like family, comforted by food and feeli“
“I'll always have a soft spot for Navona. My dining experience is always great - food is spot on every time even when they're totally slammed. They stay busy but the service is timely and the servers check up frequently to ensure I have all I need. Regularly I dine alone but all friends I've brought with me have enjoyed it - especially the pizza. The inside is cute and the decorations are interesting. I enjoy the lighting as it's not too overpowering which I am sensitive to. The owner is friendly and can be seen chatting with people who are regulars which just goes to show it has the homey, family feel, very personalized. The servers know my order because I consistently get the same thing and dine there so often which is not necessary but sweet. You won't be disappointed - try the pizza and if that's not for you then the bruschetta or focaccia with ricotta, they're all delicious. For dessert I recommend the chocolate mousse - very sweet and rich but totally worth it!“
“We’re there frequently and the food is consistently excellent. Menu is full of well executed traditional Italian dishes. Staff is friendly and very attentive. Icing on the cake - prices are very reasonable for high quality offerings. We plan to continue visiting often.“
“Did not disappoint, been a long time that I paid good money for an actual good dinner an service and was happy with it will be back thank you Erin she was our waitress. She did a phenomenal job. Make sure you tip well guys got it !!!!! They deserve it don’t be cheep !“
“we ate here after a tough day for my family. we were able to sit right away since we had a reservation. the food came out at a good speed. the atmosphere is very calm and it was nice to sit down after standing all day. however, the waitresses didn't come over to us at all while we were eating. they didn't refill our water cups and since we were the only group in there, it was a little inconvenient. otherwise, the food was very very good.“
“Had the double pepperoni Sicilian. It was so delicious!!! Best pizza I've had since I moved to NY 8 years ago. Can't wait till they open up the Voorheesville location. Then I'll only be 2 minutes away instead of 20.Parking: If you get there before the rush there's plenty of parking, otherwise you would have to park in the shopping center across the street.“
“Awesome food! Just had Broccoli Rabe and mixed it with sausage and marinara. Loved it. Caprese salad was wonderful, really delicious balsamic vinaigrette. Tried their tomato basil soup and it is fantastic. It’s full of fresh basil. They also kindly include some of their baguettes which are great. They are very talented and their dishes/combinations are making my tastebuds happy!“
“Glad to have had the opportunity to visit this well known local spot while visiting the area. Unlike any pizza joint experience i’ve ever had. First we ordered at a counter before being escorted through the back of a narrow alley into a small garden seating area. nothing formal, all low key.The food came out quick and the service was friendly.the pizza itself was some of the best i’ve ever had. very doughy with unique flavor that almost melts in your mouth. there was a perfect amount of seasoning over fresh mozzarella cheese. I like the options of various doughs to try as well. We went with the standard dough to get the original flavor. Also tried the garlic bread and house made meatballs. The sauce for both was equally delicious. I hope to have the opportunity to re-visit this location to try some of the speciality pizza and pasta options. Very highly recommended ? ? ?“
“We rented the upstairs dining room for my partner's birthday - 20 people. Maeve was great helping plan (and putting up with our shifting guest list and dietary needs), Chef Jake put together an excellent tasting menu and executed it so well. Service was great, the space was perfect for the party...the night could not have gone better!“
“I only ever get D'Carlito's when I'm working night shifts, but it is SUCH. A. GODSEND. The warm vodka pasta at 1AM in the morning is creamy, filling, and honestly coma-inducing but it's so worth it. I can also imagine this being some top-tier drunk food! For some reason I keep forgetting the name of the place, so here I am writing a Yelp review to immortalize it for the next time I need a nighttime pick-me-up. Which honestly might be tomorrow night, now that I've written this review I'm getting some cravings again!“
“Before I start getting chewed out by anyone, Atmosphere is a 1 out of 5. Care to guess why? There is no atmosphere. You order, you get it, you leave. Oh, and it's cash only. No credit cards, no bitcoin, nothing crazy. The whole establishment exists for 1 sole purpose: to provide pizza and pizza type staples one would come to expect from a pizza establishment. For every corner cut to make this place a pickup only establishment, it's for a purpose. That purpose is to provide some of the BEST pizza and some of the BEST hot wings in the area. Their wings, honestly have incredible kick and some outstanding spice to them. The pizza is incredibly balanced with their flavors. Not too sweet on the sauce, not too much garlic, dough is just right. A decent laughing point, though, is their wings. I've never heard of wings and spuds. Ever. It's good, actually. Incredibly good. Great combination. I'd have never thought to put the two together, but that's my own limited imagination. 10/10 love this place.“
“Was so happy. Impressed with taste, sauce and customer service. You made my Dad's birthday a success. Friday I ordered eggplant Parm dinners and chicken Parm ..Enough food to feed a small group ..However it was a ton of wonderful food. Great aldente ziti, fantastic sauce..Everything cooked to perfection. THANK YOU PIZZA CENTRAL. SEE YOU SOONUpdate. We did the Valentine's thing and got food from THE BEST AND AUTHENTIC PIZZA CENTRAL. WAS AWESOME of course..10 stars ..Thank you Shawna and You guys are awesome . I think you should open one in Lake George! Perfect eggplant , truly perfect! White pizza perfect, absolutely wonderful Chicken Parm and a killer Philly .. See you soon!“
“My diet is vegetarian/gf. Wish they had had GF bread. Wish they had had GF Linguine or spaghetti. The salad was great. The sautéed spinach as well. Service too. Just wish there had been more options for me with my dietary restrictions. Ambiance was very mediocreDietary restrictions: Not enough options for vegetarian/gluten free, in my opinion. Although the house salad was very nice, as was the sautéed spinachI am always appreciative when there is nice warm gf bread to dip into the yummy looking olive oil. It would have been nice to have gf breadWe were a relatively large party of 8 on a Thursday and the service was attentive, not intrusive. I would normally insert name here but I didn’t catch it as I left before the check was dropped“
“Absolutely delishious. My wife had The Pranzo and I ordered the The Italian, both had eggplant in them and it awesome. The Pranzo is a spinach wrap. My wife couldn't say enough how much she enjoyed it. The Italian had old school Italian sesame seed sub roll. The bread was extremely fresh, not dense and doeiy where you're eating a lot of bread. The meats in my sub were delishious. I'm 6ft 2in., 256 lbs. and have a big appetite and that sub was more than enough. My wife could only finish half of her wrap. A awesome value as the prices are very reasonable. My order was a take out however the young lady at the counter was very personable and friendly. Give this place a try, you will not regret it.“
“Wide variety of Italian American cuisine,we went on a Wednesday night which sometimes have five dollar a dozen steamed clams which is a great value.Great selection of options and fresh bread.A bit expensive but good quality food.I ordered tortellini with a red sauce and sausage, additionally ordered a small salad with a creamy Italian dressing.“
“For me whenever I visit the US, Olive Garden is a must. The food is consistently good, prices are right, and the service is top-notch. However, this particular location made a lasting impression. From the moment I walked in, I felt incredibly welcomed. Also, my waiter Moe was a really nice and friendly guy and made sure everything was perfect.“
“Today was my birthday and I wanted to try D’Raymonds because I’ve heard so much about it. Well done it might just be my new favorite restaurant. Food was perfect and lots of it. Our Server, Laura was Outstanding , friendly , Attentive , Perfect. There were so much to choose from. I can’t wait to go back. My son wants to go back for his birthday next month. I can’t wait.Vegetarian options: There’s enough for a vegetarian to choose. My daughter is a vegetarian and she had enough choices“
“This was our second visit to this old-school, apparently family run Italian place. Decor is simple wood-toned formica topped tables and booths, kind of old and a bit worn, kind of cramped. That said, the place was packed. We were able to be immediately seated but there were only two tables available...on a Wednesday evening past prime time. Our server, Danielle, was warm, friendly, knew the menu and was just the right amount of attentive, Food was outstanding. The pizza we had last time was like we would make at home, only better. A small sheet pan with fresh dough, tasty sauce and plenty of cheese, it oozed quality and care. Tonight's tortellini in tomato cream sauce was equally good. Oversized cheese tortellini, cooked just right, in a freshly made, very flavorful sauce. Delicious. The pièce de resistance was dessert. I don't usually get dessert but Danielle had me at homemade butterscotch cheesecake. She said that the owner's sister makes it and the flavors rotate regularly. It was a bit pricey but really excellent, worth every penny. See the photo.Great food in a homey environment. We'll be back.“
