Always had friendly service- even if the person walking by is not our server - they always smile and make eye contact, food has always been delicious. The waiters and waitresses were committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely liked that there was that raw , real, Jamaican vibe. “I had to run an errand in Buffalo NY and stopped at a local mom and pop sandwich place that someone local had recommended. Oh.My. Goodness this place is great! I could rave about it for an hour. Everything was fresh and local and freaking delicious! Nothing was an afterthought - the bread that came with the soup was as good as my grandma’s dinner rolls ❤️ Even the lettuce on the burger was big, crisp and fresh. The tomato seemed like it had just been picked this morning. The coffee was delicious and fresh, made to order. Very generous portions, fat crispy bacon, ah! If you’ve never eaten a meal so delicious it brought tears to your eyes, you should come here. I would drive 400 miles again just to eat lunch here. The owners were super nice people!“
“This place is great! I called in the order for pickup and got one medium chicken shawarma and one medium falafel. The owner was pleasant over the phone and in person. Both wraps were fresh, hot and delicious. The shawarma is excellent though the falafel was my favorite. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed!“

I only recommend turn the music down a touch so when those Load Caddy Ladies come in they aren't filling the place with their annoying shouting across the table with the people they came in with! “We traveled from Maryland to East Aurora to pick up a snowmobile. We arrived early so we found The Poked Yolk. We waited in the parking lot because of traveling arriving before they opened. The whole experience couldn’t have been any better. The host (owner) was super and the food (Lumberjack & almond cranberry pancakes) were probably the best we ever had. “The staff is always very friendly and outgoing, greeting you with a smile as you walk in. If your coffee is empty, it's not empty very long. They are constantly checking everyone's cup. Food is amazing. I always prefer the mom/pop type style restaurants over chain. If you visit them, you will want to keep coming back.“

“I'd leave a picture but I ate it all. Sorry-not sorry. Gyro is my new favorite thing and Pita Gourmet is my new favorite place to get it. Went for the first time this weekend. I ordered the dinner and had enough for 2 dinners! The $8 per meal price tag was worth it considering you can't even get a full "clown" dinner that cheap anymore. The dill sauce is a little thicker than I like it but I just added some milk and it was perfect. The meat was super tender and delicious and all the salad ingredients were fresh and delish. Customer service was outstanding and they helped me through my first time like pros. If you have never been to a Pita think Rachels or Chipotle. Same concept order at one end of the walk up- food at the other end. The guy before me ordered a buffalo sauce that I did not see on the menu. I will for sure get that next time along with the garlic fries.“

I like the fact that they have added some things they didn't have before, especially those baked goods! Today's choice, "The Vegan," was delicious. “Great tasting smoked meats. This guy is for real. I had the pulled pork combo with baked beans and coleslaw, and it was incredible. The pulled pork was superb, and the baked beans had 3 different kinds of beans in it. Best I ever had. If I had 1 downside, it would be the bbq sauce. They use sweet baby ray's which is still good but I bet this guy could make his own sauce and it would be better to be honest I could have eaten it without sauce. The owners were very friendly and upbeat, and did I mention they gave me samples of the pulled pork and ribs to try, and had he not been sold out of brisket that would have been sampled also. This is now my go to spot for smoked bbq!!!!“

“She is such a gifted cook!! The food is delicious. I’m kind of picky ans I LOVE everything. Not one thing I haven’t liked which is not usual for me at all!!! My 4 year old loves her food too. It’s reasonably priced, packaged super convenient in good reusable containers not cheap plastic. I really can’t recommend this enough if you need a week off from cooking. We order a couple things and eat it alllllllllllll week!!!!“

When we were leaving we looked at the wonderful desserts, which are all made there, and decided to bring a piece of the peanut butter and jelly cake home. “Great lunch! I ordered the meatball parm sandwich. I really appreciated that the meatballs and sauce were not overdone with seasoning. The seasoning complemented rather than dominated. The sandwich comes with a pickle spear and a choice of potato salad or macaroni salad. I chose the latter. The mac salad was very tasty. My biggest pleasure was the dill pickle. It was terrific - crunchy and not overwhelmed by the spices or vinegar. It was more akin to the store-bought Clausen brand pickle. Well done!“

This is one of the only places in the 716 that makes good chicken fingers (the honey mustard ones are divine) and a good cheese steak. The fish fry is the best I've had in years. If you want a real treat try the turkey sub with pickles and extra meat. The freshest salads I've ever had. Food is amazing, prices are great, and everyone who works there is friendly. They've got something for everyone. Easily my favorite place to get food in Buffalo.“

The lemonade was watered down really no flavor to it. The fries were really good best part of our meal. Seen our waitress maybe 3 times the whole meal.First time there and probably last.“
