“Lovely people, lovely place, incredibly delicious food! Ingredients are very fresh, often from the local farmers market. There are both very creative dishes and classics on the menu. The Queensboro is a special restaurant that not only cares about the quality of their food and atmosphere, but also sincerely cares about the community.Kid-friendliness: Roomy and fun space that is very comfortable for those bringing children. The staff is super friendly with children as well!“

“Came to L'incontro for a casual lunch on a Saturday around 2p. Did not have a reservation and was immediately seated. I gotta say, the service was excellent! Many waiters were serving us and they were constantly checking if we needed something. They were refilling out waters all the time and it was just very polite. What was interesting is the "daily special menu", the waiter was standing their reading about the daily special for like at least 5 mins and we had to stop him from continuing. Either way, we got the bucatini cacio e pepe and it was very yummy. My husband got the veal and it was not the most photogenic dish, but tasted much better than it looked. We also got the octopus, which was soaked in balsamic, also very nice. Overall a very nice traditional Italian place.“

“Their turmeric bun is insanely good. Was lucky enough to catch it right as it was fresh out of the oven and waiting to be glazed. Almost doubled back for another one it was so good (self restraint won).Delicate, flaky, caramelized crust. Fluffy, light, moist pull-apart center. I usually find glazed pastries too sweet, but this one was perfect - just sweet enough to hit the spot but not too sweet that it feels heavy. The balance of flavors is just right. Just a hint of turmeric that isn't at all overpowering.“

“Neighborhood gem. Great decor, homey, comfortable but well appointed. I have dined here alone and with family, both times it was a good atmosphere. GM Michael is really good and runs a good staff. The food is delicious- good for all types of diet restrictions. Fresh ingredients well prepared. Last but not least also great cocktails. Host and server were friendly and attentive. I will for sure be coming back here!“

“Been meaning to check this out for a while now and finally got to it, and now I’m kicking myself for not going earlier. Everyone’s right about the Mussels, they’re not to be missed. Burrata and Pork Shoulder Pasta were also a hit. Drinks are creative and tasty! This is definitely a restaurant where you’ll want to go back to try every item. Staff was very friendly, kitchen bar is a fun spot. Loved!“

“Had an unforgettable date night at Farm to People! We indulged in their burger and fries - easily one of the top best in NYC. The Brussel sprouts? Crispy perfection. And the gnocchi? Simply incredible. If you haven’t treated yourself to this spot yet, you’re missing out. It’s a must-visit!“
“KCBC Brewery stands out as a beacon for beer aficionados, boasting an expansive space that instantly welcomes you with its warm and inviting vibe. The sheer size of the place allows for a diverse crowd, from casual drinkers to serious hop heads, all finding their niche in this vibrant atmosphere. The selection of beers is nothing short of amazing, with each brew showcasing the craftsmanship and passion of its creators. From rich, robust stouts to crisp, refreshing lagers, there's something for every palate. The vibe is lively yet relaxed, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long day or kickstart a night out with friends. However, there's a catch—KCBC's focus is solely on their brews, meaning snack options are non-existent. While this might be a slight downside for those looking to pair their pint with a quick bite, the quality and variety of the beers on offer more than make up for it. It encourages guests to immerse themselves fully in the tasting experience, perhaps even prompting a visit to local eateries before or after. In essence, KCBC Brewery is a must-visit for its exceptional beers and the nice vibe it offers, even if it means planning your snacks elsewhere.“

“Wow! This is a little hidden gem. This is probably the best coffee I've ever had in NYC. Doesn't taste burnt at all like most other places and it has a nutty aftertaste. Really delicious - doesn't even need syrup flavors. The chocolate chip cookie is divine and tastes homemade! I'm so happy I stumbled upon this little hole in the wall. It's tiny inside but there are a few tables / stool seats by the window. It's a great spot to bring a book and people watch. They have a bunch of other pastries that look delicious as well and I'm excited to try them all! This spot is just steps from the L train at Grand St. Don't miss it! Super friendly service, quick, and delicious. What else could you need?“

“The venue is beautifully done. All the staff was attentive and pleasant. We had greek sausage, manouri wrapped in phyllo with honey& sesame seeds to start. The swordfish and mignon kebabs were perfect!!! And the yogurt with vissino(sour cherry) spoon sweets was the perfect way to end the meal. :-)“

“We stumbled upon this coffee shop and in the Bronx and had to have our second hit of coffee. This cute shop imports coffee directly from Puerto Rico ?? so we knew it was gonna be bomb! The best part was that the coffee comes in a to go pouch and a straw. We order the horchata ice coffee and they also have a whiskey infused option as well that was strong and less sweet in case you don’t like it too sweet. Aesthetically the place was so cute. Check out the vibes in the photos and videos.“

“Most food is great (sandwiches, salteñas, drinks, desserts) but certain things (like mac and soup) need SALT. The rice pudding is quite sweet but good if you eat warm. The portion size is laughable though.... like 3.5-4oz. Prices are about $1-2 higher than you expect for each item. Fried chicken sandwich is starting to taste like it's fried in old oil. And on the BLP website delivery is free BUT you are still hit with a $3.50 "service fee", which is the restaurant's for using a delivery service. But on Grubhub+ the same service fee applies AND prices food is higher! So even with free delivery it will be higher. I ended up paying over $40 for food for 1. Service is great, music is great, even if loud. I hope they create a better price point for the neighborhood they serve and make the sides as good as the main stuff!“

“I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place. One of the best coffee concepts I've come across in a while. The coffee is incredible, and their setup is top-notch. It's now my go-to coffee place. Their Fredo Coffee tastes just like it does back in Greece.“

“I wanted to come to Ammazzacaffe for a while. One of my friend told me that they have a great wine list and authentic Italian food. Last night was a good day to go so because of they have a limit of seats I made a reservation before I go. I have a glass of Toscana Rosso and because it is happy hour I get two for one. That is awesome! I order pasta so I only have Sea Trout Tartare as an appetizer. I love that they make it sour and taste so delicious. Quadrotti and Reginette are very good and perfect cooked pasta. Service is nice and friendly. I enjoy so much of this meal. I will probably come back when the weather is warmer.“

“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. This was our second time here and it has quickly become one of our goto places in Astoria. From the greeting at the door to the selection of great wine and cocktails- all unique because the are craft brews- to the staff answering our many questions about the very different and delicious menu to the quality of the food- an awesome experience. Last week we were there and enjoyed live jazz and the musicians mingled and talked with us. The decor is very comfortable. Looking forward to attending the special event nights, too. See you next week- if not before!!“

“I am from the neighborhood(live on 42nd) and been there a bunch of times. Food is great, they have good choices and staff is friendly yet professional. I also pass by there 4-5 times a week and always see that they are running a tight operation and place is always clean and neat. Also you can see the kitchen as you order the food. They are pretty organized and clean. Food tastes great. Never had issues. Glad to have places like this in my hood.“

“We were looking for Israeli food for my dad's birthday dinner. We got a table for 8 and were sat in the back room. It was pretty tight in there. While our waiter was nice, the restaurant was super full and I don't think it could handle all the groups of people well. We each ordered drinks and the drinks didn't come out when we got our appetizers. Waited even longer for them. For appetizers, we shared a bunch of dishes. The hummus really is delicious and the warm pita bread is great. We asked for more pita but unfortunately the pita was brought out when we got our main dishes and we no longer needed it. The restaurant forgot my chicken schnitzel dish so I just shared the burger with my husband. They also ran out of fries for the night and it was only 730pm.. the restaurant has lots of potential but needs to figure out a better system for food and service. They were super apologetic and did comp the pita bread and dessert for my dads birthday. The babka dessert is absolutely a delicious chocolate heaven!“

“Short review: Of all things, the best stuff here were the seafood dishes (blame Goa being a big fishing area I guess.) Excellent Goan Fish and Tandoori Shrimp among other things. As per most of my other recent reviews, I was at this restaurant a while ago with one of the groups. I in fact went there long enough that I don't really remember all the details. They specialize in Goan food; a subset of Indian food with Portuguese influences. We shared a bunch of dishes and the staff was friendly and sat outside. To drink, I had a Masala Chaas which was a bit different than the usual spots being greener. It had the usual buttermilk along with spices otherwise though it was almost a bit too spiced for my liking. I tried the Mango Lassi from someone else which was good and thick. Staff was friendly We ordered the following with the current prices listed afterwards: Achari Mushrooms- $10 Goan Fish (mahi mahi-) $19 Paneer Makhani- $18 Lamb Xacuti- $22 Goan Tandoori Shrimp- $22 Saag Chana- $18 Sukha Chicken- $20 Lamb Methi Curry- $22 Vegetarian Jalfrezi - $18 Caldeen Salmon- $19 In terms of the more Goan dishes, we skipped the vindaloo as the host didn't want something too spicy. The caldeen salmon was excellent with a mild coconut sweetness and the Lamb Xacuti also had some good coconut flavor along with some curry leaves. As with the salmon, the fish was also cooked really well in the Goan fish with a good kick as well which I appreciated. Of the Goan dishes, my least favorite was the sukha which had a good dry curry but the issue was that the chicken itself was also a bit dry. The tandoori shrimp being a highlight being perfectly cooked and just well spiced. In terms of the rest of the non-Goan dishes, they were above average with the saag chana being quite tasty. The methi had a good light bitterness from the fenugreek and the paneer in said makhani dish was cooked properly with a good texture and the sauce wasn't overly sweet as some versions of the dish are. My least favorite of the group was the jalfrezi which had a good mix of vegetables though I found it to be a bit bland compared to the rest. My least favorite thing even though it was tasty was the mushrooms. The flavor was good with some good sourness and they were well roasted but the portion was a bit skimpy. For breads/sides, we got the Garlic Naan for $5 and the Kashmiri Naan for $7. Both were warm and excellent with the garlic naan having not too much ghee. I wish there was a bit more nuts in the Kashmiri naan there and not just a whole lot of reddened coconut but at least it wasn't overly sweet and the portion size of both breads was good. They of course gave rice with all the curries. For dessert, I ordered the Mango Kulfi for $5. This was excellent with a good kick of saffron. It was properly dense as expected for kulfi as well. I'd recommend it. Solid spot. I can see why others love it and I would go back. Mid 4 bumped up for the friendly service and overall excellent dishes.“
“I LOVE Lady Moo Moo, and it's such a great addition to the Bed-Stuy neighborhood. Their tropical flavors especially were SUCH a gamechanger in the killer heat this summer. I really enjoyed their passionfruit and coconut offerings, but there wasn't a single person upset about any of the flavors they were slinging by the scoop. They have the best Lady Moo Moo mural and multi-colored decor surrounding the hole-in-the-wall shop, and they even had a bowl for thirsty doggos. This establishment goes to show that it's always going to be quality over quantity. The staff was lovely, efficient, and explanatory. In terms of parking, it's New York: it's easier to bike or walk.“

“I live in Eugene, OR. We have several small coffee roasters but they cost a "nominal egg" as folks in NYC might say and, they never feature Robusta blends. I am so happy to have found Cerini online. I went with a couple kilos of packaged beans and a some of the Cerini beans. The product is PERFECT as was their customer service and very reasonable pricing. My search for a coffee vendor ended, I only need Cerini. STRONGLY SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENT IN PACKAGING: Put a Cerini label with the Bronx address on the bags of Cerini coffee, especially for mail-order customers. It would greatly enhance the "gift" aspect, I feel it is incredibly important for Cerini to do that as it costs so little and means so much.“

“This is my first time at this restaurant. My friend found it for us and he specifically picked it because he heard it had good cocktails. we ordered four different cocktails. All of them were pretty good. I wish I remembered the names of them but the blue cup with the pink outside was one that was my favorite. By far the ceviche was bomb. The guac a little bit of flavor for me, but mixing it with the ceviche made that even pretty darn good. Really enjoyed the fish taco over the other two pictured. we got the Maduros which were fresh and yuka fries. we also got the octopus which I thoroughly enjoyed. The chipotle, shrimp in the pineapple was honestly not my favorite. My friend really enjoyed it as he enjoyed sweet dishes, but it was too sweet for me. Overall, I definitely recommend a place. Definitely get the ceviche and the octopus! And I'm not even a big seafood person to say that. The service was great, and while we were there, the waiter even gave us a shot on the house. So check it out.“

“I don't ever really write reviews, but after today's visit I wanted to share. I have been going to Cafe Turkey since they first opened, the food is very yummy, fresh, the service is amazing. Today I went there at 9PM, after a long day at work. They were getting ready to close, no one was there but they opened the back area for me to have dinner, turned on the heat, let me take my time to eat didn't rush me, AG was very welcoming and so kind to check if I needed anything and let me stay after they close for the day. It felt like a family not a just business. Thank you AG for making my night feeling so welcome at my local favorite restaurant in Astoria.“

“Delicious pasta either great ambience in the backyard. We visited last year in the fall and I got demolished by mosquitoes. We got 2 pastas and a burrata. One pasta was delicious and the other felt a bit bland. Overall cute date place if you are craving Italian and it's close by, but not a place to go out of your way to visit from another area. It's good for the location and great addition to local addition to bedstuy Overall food was good but felt a bit overpriced. I think it's mostly because of location and lack of competition in the area. Burrata wasn't worth 17 dollars. And everything felt 1-3 dollars too expensive. Service was good and ambience was great. Not sure if I'll be visiting again but maybe if friends really want pasta.“

“This is a cute dog cafe if you want to bring your dog and have some coffee. Two different entrances to buy coffee and to enter with your dog. People there seem friendly and they have paper towels and spray if your dog pees. However, the place is fairly small. I would say having about 10 small dogs would be enough for them to run around? I was there when 2 big poodles, 1 corgi, and 2 other small dogs and my cavapoo who is about 12lbs. I wish it was a bigger space for them to run around ?Nonetheless, it's a cute space for a quick stop to have your dog have some playtime.“

“Great place if you can be bothered to wait for entry. Security and staff were unprofessional. Queues were extremely disorganized and the attendants were young and not trained well for crowd control. “The service was top notch! Came on a Saturday for lunch and it was surprisingly not too crowded. All the dishes were super authentic Beijing cuisine. If you get the duck set, they would offer to either deep fry the carcass or make it into a porridge. We picked deep fry and loved it. The desserts also all look cute and interesting while tasting great. We were trying to hit the minimum for special seating, but the portion was very decent, so we took home enough leftovers for a second meal.“

“I have been on the hunt for a new hotpot place after frequenting my last place in bayside for almost ten years. I was so happy to find JOYPOT super close to my new home in Astoria. Not only is the quality of their meat and veggies 10/10, but their mushroom broth and spicy broth are phenomenal. My boyfriend LOVES the mushroom base and it’s incomparable to anywhere else we’ve even been.My only qualm with AYCE places is that they don’t usually let you take your food home, and that is what I was told when I first called JOYPOT. However, on today’s visit, I asked if they can charge me for whatever we left behind and allow us pack our leftovers, and they gladly let us at a small fee. THANK YOU, Joypot!!! You are my new go-to and I’m so glad I found you ?? the fact that you will allow me to pay an extra fee and take my food home brings me so much joy ☺️“

“I always order a keema palata because it’s been my favorite dish since visiting the Burmese Bites stall at Queens Night Market in Corona. The way it’s made is fascinating to see. The dough is spread out very thinly and placed on a cooking surface where it is then topped with a minced chicken filling. It’s very similar to mughlai paratha in Bangladeshi cuisine but has a difference touch of flavor. The finished product tastes great with the cucumber yogurt sauce. My only issue I is with the oily texture which can sometimes overpower the flavor and quality of the dish. Other than that the keema palata is a hit and all the items on the menu are halal.“

“The place is cheerfully decorated with colorful artwork, sneakers, and bright piñatas. It's a very fun vibe! We were there to celebrate our birthdays, and this turned out to be the perfect place. Upon walking in, the first thing we noticed was how loud this place was. They have a DJ, and the music was on full blast to the point where you have to yell if you want to have a conversation. We actually debated if we should stay or go somewhere else, but thankfully, we decided to stay. We ordered esquite, chicken quesadillas, tacos de alambre, birria tacos, and the mar y tierra. All of the food was really good and well seasoned. My favorite was the tacos the alambre, the steak was so flavorful! The service here was excellent! Even though they were busy, they continuously checked on us, bringing out fresh plates and napkins. My friend told them we were celebrating our birthdays, so they sang happy birthday and brought out the guy dressed as a luchador. The DJ was also great and played a variety of music. If you want to celebrate a birthday or just have a very fun time, this is definitely a great spot.“

“The beer is amazing here. I am usually a fan of stouts and I absolutely loathe sours; however, I love trying everything. My friend and I finally made it to Evil Twin on the last day of our trip. “Since moving to the area, Nana's is one place that is consistently fantastic and everyone I bring here raves about it. Simple, yes, but freshly made, flavorful, and healthy isn't always easy to find when you're trying to grab a quick bite.I think the way the menu is laid out is a bit confusing if you've never been. Once you understand how to navigate that, it's smooth sailing. My regular order is the Mu'shwarma, pita or platter depending on how I feel that day. I am pescatarian and love that they don't use artificial fake meat, but this dish is just really well flavored mushrooms. Their platters are great because you can choose so many sides, and they REALLY stuff their pitas, so I think either one works, depending on what mood I'm in. If you get the platter, you can choose pita or pita chips on the side. Their pita chips are fresh and the best I've ever tasted. I'm not usually a drink gal, but I love their Limonana so I do order it quite frequently. Very refreshing and made with all fresh ingredients. Not overly sugary or anything. I've tried a bunch of their salads/salatim and they are all amazing, but the Babaganoush is a MUST. I'm not always a fan of the dish because of the texture but theirs is the best I've ever had. So flavorful and fantastic. Any of the spicy salads (spicy tomato) are actually quite spicy, so be aware. There isn't so much of an ambiance here as there's 1-2 tight tables and it's definitely more of a to go place, although I have dined in and eaten outside when weather permits. There is no table service. The prices are definitely on the higher side, but I can often stretch one of their meals to 2 and the ingredients are so fresh and so delicious, so it is worth the price. Don't expect any $7 street cart pitas here though! I've taken my parents and several friends and everyone that has been has only raved about how fresh and delicious it is, so it's a must go to and a neighborhood staple for me.“
