“What a great dinner I just shared with a friend! The whole idea of this restaurant is based on Anthony Bourdain's quote about sharing food with friends. And share we did! We split the oysters, parmesan truffle fries, the Tuscan flatbread, and the impossible sliders. We also each got a glass of wine. (No sharing that lol) The food was delicious, and the wine was fantastic, the service was best of all! We got lots of recommendations and suggestions, and we were well taken care of. I was delighted to see that almost everything was able to be gluten free! I had a lot of tasty options to choose from. Overall, we had a great time, and I plan to go back with my fiancé. The experience we shared would have been great for a date.“

“Excellent. The food is beautifully prepared, nicely presented, comes out at the right temperature. The wine list is more than adequate. Despite the crowding, they will be ready for you at your scheduled reservation time. The prices are reasonable. The service is ok. The Wait staff is well-versed in the subtleties of the menu. Even the bus staff are helpful beyond their job description. Due I think to the well-deserved popularity of the establishment, service can be a bit slow. The bar is magnificently stocked with hard to find bourbons at your disposal. There is real talent in that kitchen. If it wasn't for delays between certain courses, and waiting a long time for the check, 800 Maple would've earned the fifth star.“

I was SO IMPRESSED by the services. It just seems lately (post covid) that people don't know what the service is anymore. Every single staff member was dressed to impress and our server Tom looked so sharp, was helpful, friendly, attentive and polite which just made this experience 10/10. “We started our tasty journey with the Olives, featuring the Castelvetrano and Cuquillo varieties. They have just a hint of orange that makes a boring bowl of olives a standout taste experience. The Potato Latkes were up next, served with tobiko taramasalata and tarragon. The combination is absolutely incredible, striking a perfect balance between texture and flavor...perfection.For our entrees, our group had the Ravioli Dauphine and the Lamb Meatball Bomber. The ravioli, filled with tender lamb shank and drizzled with beurre blanc, accompanied by scorzonera and crispy kale, is fantastic. The Lamb Meatball Bomber is delicious with its kale, sumac onions, and garlic yogurt. However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the Braised Chicken Leg, paired with black futsu squash, lentils, sage, and endive. It's no exaggeration when I say this is the best meal I have ever had in my entire life. The depth of flavor, the perfect cook on the chicken, and the harmony of the accompaniments is simply unparalleled. We had the Vanilla Panna Cotta with lemon, honey, and toffee for dessert. I have no words that adequately capture its sheer perfection. The Little Club delivered an exceptional dining experience. If I could give them six stars, I would. Every dish was a testament to the chef's mastery over their craft. I cannot recommend The Little Club highly enough; it is an absolute must-visit for anyone who appreciates fine dining at its best.“

“My husband and I brought our nieces (8, 8, and 12) in at 5:00 on a Saturday, before taking them to Shea’s. The hostess quoted 45-60 minute wait and it ended up only being 15 minutes so we were very grateful. I also love that we were contacted via text when our table was ready so we were able to take the girls back to the car for what we had assumed would be a 45 minute wait. The service was great—Mike was so good to our littles, talking directly to them and being patient, kind, and attentive. Food was great and came out super quickly. Including 2 apps, a beer, and 5 meals we were out for under $130 including a 25% tip. We were blown away with the price, especially given how expensive life has gotten. Happy to share this experience with our friends in real life and on the internet. Thanks, Big Ditch!“

“Phenomenal! I had heard amazing things about Hutch's for years and finally made it in for a surprise birthday dinner from my friends. Each and every one of us absolutely loved and raved over our meals and drinks. Some of the freshest oysters and a delicious meatball to start our night, with espresso martini's and wine. I had the pork chop special with pear chutney and WOW, the biggest and moist cut of pork I've had with an amazing flavor profile. I had the fruit cookie for dessert and it was absolutely divine. Our server, Amanda, was so friendly and helpful, suggesting apps, working with my friend to find the perfect red wine for her, and even humoring my other friend to pick a meal and surprise her- and she picked well! Good service makes all the difference and we can't say enough about her and the atmosphere here. I have friends who routinely come to Hutch's and all I can say is I've been influenced and hope to return much more frequently! Thanks for an amazing dinner experience to celebrate my 30th!“

“This place was crazy fun, the atmosphere was amazing, and the conversations were enthralling. The bartender is a hoot... and a cutie ?, and the people there will have you wheezing.Besides that I gotta give compliments to the chef. I got the Angus burger and let me tell you, you gotta try it. They add something sweet to the burger (I skepticize it to be some sort of jam) but the contrast that it makes.with the savory burger is amazing. Not to mention the Fry's cooked to perfection; exactly what I needed. All around the place was very clean, definitely up to date on everything; and from what I've seen of the kitchen there's not much to worry about. The bathrooms were spiff and span and the mirror was cool.Which brings me to my final point, The layout. I had to say the design of the bar was very classic, you come in and are treated with a bar and a few tables and a booth wall. The kitchen connects behind the bar and out of the bar and a kitchen window. Then a small hallway that leads to both genders bathrooms and some other off limit stuff I presume(Didn't snoop around too much XD). I really like the bar and how the spirits were backlight. To summarize, id give it a 5/5 if you're looking for a good time. Thanks if you actually read all this.(PS, Sam, nice tattoo)Wheelchair accessibility: Street level with a door wide enough, no automatic doors but I'm sure a bartender or a fellow citizen would help.“

“Swannie House, located in Buffalo, NY, is one of the city's oldest and most iconic taverns, embodying a rich tapestry of history that intertwines with the development of Buffalo itself. Established in 1886, it has served as a testament to the city's evolving social and economic landscapes, playing host to a myriad of stories from its inception to the present day.Situated at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Ohio Street, Swannie House sits in the shadow of grain elevators and the Buffalo River, placing it at a strategic point in Buffalo's historic First Ward. This neighborhood has long been associated with the city's working-class roots, particularly those working in the shipping, grain, and steel industries that once dominated the area. The tavern's inception dates back to a time when Buffalo was a booming industrial city, benefitting from its position as a critical node in the Great Lakes shipping network. The Swannie House initially served as a haven for laborers, offering refreshment and respite from the demanding physical work associated with the nearby docks and grain elevators.Over the years, Swannie House has maintained its reputation as a gathering place for locals and visitors alike, preserving its traditional ambiance while adapting to the changing dynamics of the neighborhood. Its proximity to the Buffalo River and Lake Erie has made it a favorite spot for those looking to experience the city's waterfront renaissance, which has seen significant investment in public spaces and amenities, revitalizing the area's historic charm and economic vitality. The interior of Swannie House reflects its storied past, adorned with memorabilia and photographs that chronicle the life and times of Buffalo's waterfront and its workers. The menu, too, pays homage to the city's heritage, featuring classic Buffalo fare alongside a selection of local beers, making it a culinary landmark in its own right.Swannie House's enduring appeal lies not just in its longevity but in its ability to embody the spirit of Buffalo. It stands as a living museum, a place where stories of the past are preserved and shared, contributing to the city's identity and sense of community. Its resilience and adaptability mirror those of Buffalo itself, making Swannie House a beloved landmark that continues to attract generations of patrons, drawn by its history, character, and the warmth of its welcome. While specific details and events can enrich the history of Swannie House, the essence of its story is a testament to the enduring bond between a city and one of its most cherished institutions.“

“Would have given a 5. My friend I dined with is vegan. Our server was great and recommended the gnocchi dish with mushrooms and broccoli, because it was vegan and flavorful, so my friend went with that. Unfortunately, It came out with cheese on it which was disappointing. So that's why I'm giving a 4. So I waited to eat until a replacement dish came out for her. Other than that, cocktails, service and ambiance were great! I enjoyed one of the specials for the evening - squash ravioli with a side of flat 12 mushrooms. I ate every bite. Also really enjoyed the chocolate black out cake, with thick, creamy whipped cream on top and a scoop of chocolate ice cream. Went for dinner on a Friday at 6 and made a reservation. Firstly, we had the best server who was so friendly and accommodating as we initially started out outside, but then my partner was a little cold, so were able to move inside without any interruption to the service experience. She was the best. In terms of the food, I opted for the Pasta Bolognese, which was very yummy. Definitely wish I had some leftovers. My partner who was in a rabbit sort of mood, I suppose and got all appetizers for her dinner, including the bread basket, mussels, and clams. She seemed to really enjoy them a lot, though she mentioned she didn't care as much for the sauce base they were both in. For drinks, I opted for a Classic Cosmopolitan and she had Prosecco. I really enjoyed my Cosmo! Almost got a second one but resisted, haha. “Hosted a party for 40 people in their back room and they were so lovely and easy to coordinate with! Tony was amazing in the booking process and worked with us to create a delicious vegetarian menu and our bartender Edie was amazing. Highly recommend for a private party (max 50ish people probably).“

“My wife and I will stop here before we go to Flying Bison. The bartender is always super friendly and attentive. The food is always good here too. Prices are easy on the wallet too we always have a couple of beers and dinner for about 40bucks. Can’t beat this place! Chicken wings, burgers and fish fry’s are all awesome!!!“

“It's a nice family restaurant! We went on a Thursday night and it was a little busy but nothing crazy. We did wait a while for our order but it was for a a large group of people. My minor complaints are the waitress never came back to our table to check on us after dropping our food off (everyone has always come back at least once). My husband even had to chase her down for the check. And my friend didn't finish his burger bc it was ordered well-done but it was more like medium well. Prices are fair for down home cooking though! Great selection of cocktails.“

“My favorite bar/restaurant in all of Buffalo, for a well-rounded night! I'm surprised it's not a common recommendation on wing lists as their wings, especially the weck wings, are 10/10. I'd recommend going Wednesday-Saturday so you can also get the Candyman pizzas (any of them, candyman style!), and sitting on the Candyman side for craft cocktails or Caputis side for a great beer menu. The section between Caputi's and Candyman has a pool table, dart boards, and a couple pinball machines so it really is the perfect spot for friends, dates, or even just to go by yourself and mingle with the staff and regulars.“
