“okay so granted I don't live in NY and I've never had you're good or been to your establishment but I just want to say I'm really happy to see all these positive reviews. I just watched the kitchen nightmares episode and I'm so delighted to see you guys doing well!“
“This was a dope spot in the Bronx. Went here for brunch with my family. Spanish vibe music nice. Food was great! I love me a great skirt steak with chimichurri and this was a good one. It could have been lil more on the well side but other than that no issues! Them potatoes was mad good and the eggs was light and buttery!!!! YummmThe waiter was kind and attentive. Not a long wait. The lady at the front was extremely accommodating. She wasted to get us a table for us and our two year old but the one they did have available was perfectly fine and good for us. I appreciated that she considered my child when seating us.“
“Delicious and authentic Puerto Rican food. The yellow rice is soft and tasty; it is very well made. The pernil is also very well cooked but does lack a bit of seasoning, it still taste good but I think they cook can add a bit more seasoning to it and it will be PERFECT! I always feel like I am back at home whenever I order from Mis Raices.“
“Great place with lots of food variety. True PuertoRican food. Good price and friendly staff.Parking: If you are lucky, you can find parking on the street. There’s lots of traffic in the zone and people drive carelessly. Have to be careful crossing the streets.Wheelchair accessibility: Not easy for wheelchair.“
“Cuz I found out this place is this to the when I started seeing this place I started buying from it since 2000 I've been buying my Cuban sandwiches my rice and beans and my assorted foods and it's great it's never changes the people are nice excellent for our neighborhood we have something good every neighborhood got his own restaurants 188 has one and I appreciate it keep on doing good work“
“Food was absolutely amazing. One of the best yellow rice’s I’ve ever had. The steak was cooked perfectly. I couldn’t believe how much food was given . I wasn’t expecting such a large portion but it did not disappoint. I love the fact they had a live DJ during the week and they played a nice variety of music. Excited to come back on a Sunday and try their brunch! The host/server was a younger Hispanic male, super nice and attentive. (Sorry I didn’t get his name) bar staff was friendly greeted us and said thank you as we left. Bathrooms were clean as well“
“This place is a gem . If your looking for authentic Spanish food, then you must come here. 915 St. John's Avenue in the outskirts of the South Bronx. Alcapurrias and pastelitos that will have your mouth watering and wanting more. Definitely feels like a real Latino experience. Not a fine dining location , but if your humble and want to enjoy possibly the best alcapurrias and pastelitos in the Bronx , if not in all of NYC then you should definitely check this place out .“
“It is a family friendly ambiance. The food, service & the DJ is great . The owner is always welcoming and runs a top notch restaurant. She is amazing & very involved in all aspects of her establishment. I highly recommend it for a fun date night, girls fun time or family meal.“
“The food is good. it’s located at a food truck. The gentleman does bring the Roast Pork and food from a separate oven into his food truck, Saturdays and Sundays only. It is worth the wait standing on lineParking: It’s located in the south Bronx“
“I recently visited Sofrito in Harlem with friends for a delightful dinner and drinks experience. The ambiance, with views overlooking Riverside Drive and the water, was truly breathtaking. Plus, their valet parking for only $20 was a convenient perk given the area's parking challenges. Now, onto the main event – the food! I opted for the whole pernil with rice, beans, and sweet plantains, priced at $40. The portion size was generous and utterly satisfying. We also indulged in their chicken, beef, and Cuban empanadas, all bursting with flavor. Personally, I couldn't get enough of the beef and Cuban varieties. The Chuletas De Cerdo were juicy and impeccably seasoned, while the chicharrón de pollo and carne frita were equally enjoyable. The atmosphere, enhanced by a DJ spinning classic and current hits, made for a memorable experience. While the service was quick, we felt a bit rushed out by our server(s), which was slightly disappointing. Additionally, some dishes were a touch too salty for my taste, and the tables near the windows felt a bit cramped. However, despite these minor drawbacks, I would still highly recommend Sofrito for a fantastic dining experience in Harlem.Parking: $20 for valet“
“Their Super Bowl will be amazing because they have a lot of screens. I always recommend their roast chicken with any choice of side. Their Margarita with Flavor is AMAZING, all that food and drink for ONLY $11. You can't beat a great atmosphere. .“
“It was pretty cool. Only downside for me is that their chicken was flavorless. I ordered chicken wings regular but at least expected to have some flavor. But overall I absolutely loved their drinks! The Hennything possible was pretty good. And their incredible hulks.“
“This is a Chinchorro where you can dine ? in or take-out. The gentlemen were nice and very hospitable. The place is very clean ??. They have authentic Boricua food the Morcillas are delicious ?.Vegetarian options: Rice and beans, boiled green banana and more“
“I went back to my old stomping grounds yesterday to enjoy some salsa and good Spanish food. It's been quite a while since I've been back, but I used to party in this neighborhood including Willie's and a few other spots back in the day. Upon entering the place I was greeted so warmly it felt like I'd never left. The people were so friendly and happy to see me that I felt right at home. The crowd is a mix of young and old but the old timers enjoy themselves as much as the younger ones. They love to dance. I enjoyed some good drinks and some apps and celebrated a good friend's birthday. This place makes some great food, the steak in the platanos rellenos was so tender and flavorful I couldn't stop eating them. Parking in the Bronx is tough but I think the police know this place so well they don't bother the cars doubled parked in front of the restaurant. We found a spot right at the door and got in and out without a hitch. A great night in the Bronx.“
“This place is Puerto Rico, the food, staff and atmosphere was "chevere" the music was on point. I enjoyed my meal "mofongo" and the experience.Vegetarian options: You can request an order and they will accomodate a patron.“
“Ordered from the Yelp App twice for delivery. First time, delivered on schedule. I enjoyed the food, my companions didn't. Second order, delivered on time. I again enjoyed the food and this time so did the others. No complaints here. La Reina has been around a few years, and appears to be holding their own amongst the other neighborhood Latin restaurants within the area. Our orders have been tasty and seem to be freshly made. We haven't dined in, so uncertain if that's an option. Driving by, their inside seems tiny, though their outward appearance is rustic and inviting. It is important to note, food-wise we are not in The Heights where full on authenticity is prevalent. Having this Latin restaurant as an option in the area allows us the opportunity to order from here again.“
“The 10th of June was the first time I’ve ever went to this establishment as I was invited by a friend/coworker to an event celebrating Puerto Rico and this year’s Puerto Rican Pueblo was Aguadilla. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was awesome. My wife and I don’t live to far from the restaurant, we plan to make many more trips to Con Sofrito in the near future.“
“Stopped by for Sunday Brunch and I was not disappointed. The food was so tasty and delicious. The portions are a nice size and Brunch doesn't break your budget. The restaurant has a new favorite customer.Kid-friendliness: Children were welcomed with families and thats always a plus.“
