We only knew that because our server came running out of the door as we got to our vehicle. Unfortunately, I didn't remember her name but we are very thankful and will definitely be back.”

I called and told the restaurant that I got the wrong order by mistake and they offered ways to fix the problem and I am very happy they did with no problem, very happy thank you and the food tastes great especially the crab Rangoon best I’ve ever had!”

“The Brewpub was the perfect setting for my private event for approximately 45 people! The staff took great care of us, even opening a little early when we arrived to Athens ahead of schedule. The food was great, far better than most buffet food you encounter at events, and of course the beer was excellent. Sam and Chelsea were our contacts and we would absolutely work with them again.”

“Very authentic Chinese/fusion. The Taiwan beef noodle is spicy, and tastes exactly like what I had back home. Stir-fry Rice noodle is good too. I asked for less salt for the kid. Good flavor.”

“We had the best time at West End today!! The ciders were amazing and the atmosphere was perfect but the star was the bartender, Sara! She was fun to chat with and answered all of our cocktail/mixology questions! By the end she made us a delicious cocktail (Midnight Stinger) that neither of us had had before but both of us loved! We would give this place 10 stars if we could!”

“My wife went to school at Ohio University... and we were in town with 5 other friends for four days enjoying the local roads (on our motorcycles) and enjoying the town every afternoon and evening.

A very welcoming local bar with great bartenders and great drink choices at great prices. We visited several times over the four days we were there.

“The Crystal was a good bar to hang out in. They let you bring food in which is a big plus. We found a little loaf area where there was enough seating for a big group of people. There was Foosball and pool and some other games around. Crowded but not packed like the bar next door.”

“It’s a little while in the wall, but the food is great! Usually pretty messy, slow service, again we expect this and go anyway. The potstickers are excellent and the Tom arum Soup is to die for. I always get an extra order to take home before I hit the road. Highly recommend!”

“We were in town for the Ohio v WVU game and 11 of us dined here.

It's a university run restaurant which gives the personnel real experience. Also, because it is university run, they do not take gratuities --which seems odd in this day and age -- but rest assured-- it does NOT affect any part of the dining experience.

We had a fabulous meal and the service was excellent. Sam was our lead waitstaff, but, because we had 11, others chipped in to help.

We're a motley looking crew, but we had a great time here!!

“I stocked up for a week with items to keep my sweet tooth happy last weekend. I am in deep love with this place! The vanilla bean strawberry tart was hands down one of the most scrumptious pastries I’ve ever had. The pastry crust was divine. Cinnamon rolls are fantastic. Buttery and delicious and satisfying. Grabbed a cheesecake slice and once again delicious. I can’t say enough about how delightful these baked goods are. I’m waiting for them to open up today so I can stock up again for another week. This is my favorite obsession.”

“My first time visiting Broneys, and they had a burger deal I couldn't pass up. Burger and fries were good, I'm relatively easy to please. I may try their chips or onion rings next time, it is nice to have options. The burger was way better than any fast food place. I was there at quiet time, I admittedly go uptown more when school is not in session.”

“It's kind of dingy, but that's honestly the ONLY negative thing I can think of (and it's really just because of the history of the buildings here). The food (especially the pizza) is amazing and their servers and bartenders are so attentive and nice! They don't serve martinis or old fashioneds because it's more of a craft beer place with basic drinks, but their sister bar next door has more high end items and we're looking forward to trying it soon!”

Somedays, it’s loud, busy a little chaotic..umm it’s part of the town’s routine. It’s just like Athens a university town. It goes with the students’ vibe.”

“The new manager is a great wonderful person. She has really turn the store around within the week, she has been there. The store is neat, and clean. I was talking to her about how I went in there about a month back and the old manager were telling me how they were doing away with the herbs and cheese bread. And found out the old manager was lying about it going away. The other girl working Desirae was a wonderful person also. She only been there 4 days tops and she had the great of attitude like the new manager. Truly will be going to this subway every time now.

“Front Room is usually alright. Drinks are mostly made right however, LOTS of ice and little product. Pricier than regular Starbucks. Service varies. You either get somebody super nice or someone who looks like they wanna crash out. Despite that, Front Room excels with its lighting and decor. Dim lighting is great on eyes and very aesthetically pleasing. Good central location and decent beverages but note the ice amount.”

“West 82 hot bar always has unique dish every day monday-friday. Really nice pick me up during the week. The Grill, Deli, and Burrito place are also pretty solid.”

“Please make an effort to cover the other brick walls in the same coating you have in the new part of the bar, because the writing everywhere else in the bar indicates that this action is okay. Some skinny dude with a tribal tattoo on his calf and a scruffy mustache threw my sharpie outside yesterday because he “caught” us writing our names on the walls. It’s everywhere in the bar, so I don’t think the staff should be trained expect drunk college student not to do it. This guy was just on some sort of power trip and wanted to be rude. He very easily could’ve just asked us not to do write on the walls, and we would’ve respected that. Like I said, the wall in the new part of the bar with that coating on it is free of sharpie/can easily be cleaned, so maybe consider doing that on ALL the walls to avoid your staff making stupid decisions like this one in the future. The kitchen workers just stared at us and did not notify anyone we were waiting One kitchen employee would walk out to watch baseball that was playing on the TV.. The menu was crappy with little to choose from. The floor was sticky as well. We did not get any utensils sauces or crackers with our order. Nobody came to ask if we wanted refills or to even see how our meal was. I would not have left a tip if I paid at the end of our visit.”

“Came in 11/22 at about 11:30pm. Everyone in the restaurant was working so hard. They were slammed but kept order, didn’t mess anyone’s orders up. I was impressed. Never seen a Taco Bell like it.”

“yes I recommend burger king. but have seen things when I worked there. let me explain...... I see everyday where they are hiring. I put in an application here and because I did what I felt to be the right thing they won't hire me. This is what happened.. years ago I worked there. One of the workers took her little kids to work with her and let them go in the back where the fryers are. The kids were maybe 6-7 yrs old. I went to management about kids being around the fryers and being allowed to make sandwiches for the customers. Nothing was done about it. So I walked out. Was I wrong. Should little kids of 6-7 be allowed to be in the back around the fryers and should kids of 6-7 be allowed to make sandwiches for customers. I want to work. I have about 15 yrs experience with burger king. But they won't hire me. Because I left. It was a very bad situation and I wanted no part of those kids getting burned or worse by hot grease in the fryers.”

“This place is fantastic. I've gone here several times and I've been satisfied every single time. The only thing I don't like is that they don't have sandwich bread so they use two Texas toast slices which doesn't taste great. It's also a bit annoying that there's no inside dining, but it makes up for that because they really do have great food.”

We visited the CI twice while in town. Drank many beers and played many games of pool. A very welcoming local bar with great bartenders and great drink choices at great prices.

The ONLY issue was that the men's bathroom was in AWFUL shape both days that we visited. VERY dirty and stunk to high heaven... as if it hadn't been cleaned in months. It's summer break and there were no students around either time we were there... really just the seven of us... so no reason for it to be that nasty.

We will be repeat customers.”
